Chapter 18 - The Soul Contract

There were five gamblers gathered around.

After hearing Woo Manyeo say he wanted to help those in need, they became even more excited.

They kept shouting at the car to get lost, calling the driver evil and a complete bastard, unlike this angel who was so kind.

Amid the repeated flattery of "beautiful angel," Woo Manyeo felt the hairs on his body stand on end, thinking they had better stop shouting.

If they really attracted the real deal, he would not have enough lives to lose!

"Alright, alright, let us find a more convenient place to talk."

Woo Manyeo took the initiative to lead the five men into an unoccupied alley.

The five grown men who had lost their rationality from long-term gambling did not think at all about why a little boy would dare to bring five men alone into a dark alley.

They did not consider whether it might be a trap or whether they could be kidnapped by some group.

Their minds were filled only with money, only with gambling.

All they wanted was to win back everything they had lost, doubled.

"I can give you more money, not just a small amount like a few hundred. As long as you sign a contract, I can provide each of you with one hundred thousand."

Woo Manyeo had no good impression of these gamblers who did not speak a single truthful word.

The money he offered them was not even a fraction of what he would give to normal people.

Back when he was human, he had heard many stories about gamblers.

These people whose brains had been ruined by the constant stimulation of gambling shared one major trait.

They would never change.

"Y-you are not messing with us, are you?"

"How is that possible! Who would give strangers that much money!"

"What exactly are you trying to do!"

Kivan, the one who had lost the most among them, did not care about any of that.

He only wanted the money.

He had once turned five thousand into ten million in the casino and then lost that ten million down to nothing.

In the end, just to win back that original five thousand, he had fallen into debt of several hundred thousand.

He had lost everything!

His house, his car, his wife, his children!

After experiencing such extreme highs and lows, he had completely lost normal logic.

All he could think about was how he had once been a multimillionaire.

He believed that if he were just given another five thousand, he could win back ten million, or even more.

"A contract? I will sign any contract, as long as you can give me money!"

Woo Manyeo snapped his fingers, and a contract appeared in his hand. "Are you sure? Even if the content of the contract requires you to sell your soul?"

"I do not care about any soul at all!" the man shouted.

Only after shouting did he realize that those items had appeared out of thin air in the man's hand.
