The air itself felt different.
Not tense.
Not fearful.
But charged.
Like something powerful had finally decided to stop waiting… and start acting.
Lira stood at the edge of the camp, her silver eyes glowing brighter than ever before. The calmness she once carried was gone.
Now
There was purpose.
"They took everything from me," she said quietly.
Behind her, Ronan crossed his arms, watching her closely.
"And now you're going to take it back?" he asked.
Lira didn't turn.
"No."
A pause.
"Something more."
The wind around her sharpened, slicing through the air with quiet force.
"I'm going to make them regret ever touching me."
Ronan exhaled slowly.
"I figured."
He stepped beside her.
"So where do we start?"
Lira's gaze lifted toward the distant mountains beyond the valley.
"There are packs out there," she said. "Alphas who either feared me… or stood against me."
Her eyes darkened slightly.
"One of them knows something."
Ronan frowned. "You're going after an Alpha already?"
Lira turned slightly, her expression calmbut dangerous.
"They came after me first."
That was enough.
Ronan gave a small nod.
"Alright," he said. "Then we don't go unprepared."
Before Lira could respond
A voice called out from behind.
"Wait."
They both turned.
One of the rogues stepped forward cautiously the same man who had once insulted her… now humbled.
"We heard everything," he said.
Ronan raised a brow. "You were listening?"
The rogue ignored him, his focus on Lira.
"If you're going to face the Alphas…" he continued, lowering his head slightly, "you'll need more than just strength."
Lira studied him.
"And what do you suggest?"
The rogue hesitated… then said
"Let us follow you."
The camp went quiet again.
Ronan blinked.
"That's new," he muttered.
The rogue continued, more firmly now.
"You walked into this place alone… and in one day, you changed everything."
Another rogue stepped forward.
"You didn't kill us when you could have."
"And you didn't force us to submit," another added.
One by one
More stepped forward.
Not out of fear this time.
But choice.
"We'll fight for you," the first rogue said.
"Not because we have to…"
His eyes lifted to meet hers.
"But because we want to."
Silence followed.
Lira's expression didn't change immediately.
But something in her gaze softened… just slightly.
The voice within her spoke.
"This… is how it begins."
Lira stepped forward slowly.
Her presence alone commanded attention.
"You don't know what you're offering," she said.
"This path… is not safe."
"We know," the rogue replied.
"Then why follow me?"
A pause.
Then
"Because you're worth following."
The wind stirred gently around her.
Different this time.
Not violent.
Not sharp.
But… accepting.
Lira looked at them all.
At the faces that once doubted her.
Feared her.
Dismissed her.
And now
Chose her.
"I don't need soldiers," she said finally.
The rogues' expressions fell slightly.
But then,
"I need strength," she continued.
Their eyes lifted again.
"Loyalty," she added.
And her voice deepened slightly.
"And those who will not break when things get difficult."
A faint smile touched her lips.
"If you can be that…"
Her silver eyes glowed.
"Then walk with me."
A wave of relief and determination spread through the group.
Ronan let out a low whistle.
"Well… looks like you've got yourself a following."
Lira glanced at him briefly.
"I didn't ask for it."
"Doesn't matter," he said with a smirk. "You earned it."
Lira looked ahead again.
Toward the unknown.
Toward the war that was beginning to take shape.
"This is just the start," she said.
Her voice steady.
Her power steady.
Her purpose clear.
Behind her
A small group began to form.
Not a pack.
Not yet.
But something stronger than fear.
Something built on choice.
And ahead of her,
Enemies who had no idea what was coming.
The wind rose once more.
But this time,
It didn't feel like chaos.
It felt like movement.
Like destiny shifting into place.
The Moon Goddess was no longer alone.
And her wrath…
Had only just begun.
