Synopsis
Eight friends return to a secluded estate in the secluded highlands to celebrate their transition into adulthood. To recapture the "glory days," they decide to finish a horror film they started as teenagers—a project that ended abruptly when a mysterious ninth student, Noel, vanished without a trace. As they recreate the scenes, the line between the script and reality begins to bleed. The "Seventh Minute" refers to the exact timestamp where their original footage cut to black—the moment the killer was supposed to be unmasked. Now, as they pass that mark in real life, they realize the mask was never just a prop, and Noel might not be as "gone" as they hoped.

The prologue serves as the "Found Footage" entry point—the original Seventh Minute that was never supposed to be seen.

PROLOGUE: THE UNFINISHED CUT

TIMESTAMP: AUGUST 14, 2021 – 03:14 AM

The image is a storm of digital salt and pepper, a violent horizontal jitter that threatens to tear the screen in two. A low-frequency hum vibrates through the speakers, the sound of a microphone struggling against a humid night wind.

The camera stabilizes. The frame is filled with the interior of a cellar—damp stone walls, rusted meat hooks hanging from cedar beams, and the oppressive, claustrophobic smell of stagnant earth.

"Is it on? Elias, is the red light blinking?"

The voice is young, breathless, and pitched with a frantic, artificial terror. The camera pans right. A girl—a younger, wide-eyed version of Ren—is huddled in the corner. Her face is smeared with theatrical 'blood' that looks too bright, too pink under the camcorder's harsh LED.

"It's on! Just do the line!" a voice whispers from behind the lens.

"I can't... I hear him," Ren whimpers, her performance surprisingly good. She looks toward the heavy wooden door at the top of the stairs. "He's coming for the rest of us. He already took Noel."

At the mention of the name, the camera glitches. For a split second, the image mirrors, doubling the cellar.

The door at the top of the stairs creaks open. A silhouette fills the frame—tall, draped in a heavy, dark trench coat that seems to absorb the light. The figure descends the stairs with a slow, mechanical precision. Its face is a blank, porcelain void, a doll's mask with painted-on eyelashes and a frozen, subtle smirk.

Ren screams. It's a rehearsed sound, sharp and hollow.

The killer reaches the bottom of the stairs. He doesn't move toward Ren. Instead, he turns toward the camera. He leans in until the porcelain mask fills the entire frame, the white surface reflecting the camera's recording light like a tiny, bleeding eye.

"Okay, unmasking... now!" Elias's voice commands from behind the camera. "Make it dramatic, Noel! Reveal the face!"

The figure in the mask pauses. Its gloved fingers—stained with something much darker and thicker than the syrup on Ren's face—hook under the jagged chin of the porcelain.

Slowly. Inch by agonizing inch.

A jawline appears. It is pale, scarred, and trembling.

A mouth appears, pulled back into a grimace of genuine, agonizing pain.

The tip of a nose, bloodied and broken.

06:59…

The timer on the bottom of the screen flickers.

07:00.

The screen doesn't just cut to black. It screams. A high-pitched, distorted electronic screech rips through the audio as the image dissolves into a static-filled abyss.

PRESENT DAY

In the silence of the lock woods highlands, five years later, the same digital camera sits on a mahogany mantle. Its red light pulses in the dark.
