GA: Chapter 46 – Impulsive Lottery Draw, and the Armament Haki Training Method

Right now, a single spiritual qi pearl could be recycled for three hundred points—not a huge sum. If Bai Xuan threw himself into gathering them, he could easily accumulate quite a lot. After all, it wasn't difficult for him.

But there was no need.

Not only could collecting too many disrupt the spiritual qi balance in Hang City, but there wasn't anything in the worlds of the chat group members that he particularly wanted. For him, the lottery was more about fun than anything else.

If he felt like it, he'd draw once. If not, he'd leave it. Simple as buying a lottery ticket—spend a couple of bucks for a random number when the mood struck; otherwise, just walk past.

Today, perhaps because it had been a while since the Uchiha Obito template incident, Bai Xuan felt the sudden urge to try the lottery. And since he had some points saved up, why not?

"Chat group, draw once."

Ding! "1,000 points automatically deducted from member 'Child of Nature.'"

Ding! "Starting lottery draw…"

No long wait. Just three seconds passed before the chat group's familiar voice chimed in:

Ding! "Congratulations, member 'Child of Nature'! You have obtained the ability Armament Haki from the Pirate World. Upon merging, you will automatically gain an initial-level Armament Haki."

Ding! "Do you wish to merge?"

"Armament Haki, huh… not bad," Bai Xuan muttered.

It wasn't as rare as things like the Rinnegan, the God Tree Fruit, Reincarnation Eyes, Spirit Crystals, or Giant Statues—but compared to Obito's steel pipe or Whitebeard's giant doll, this was a huge step up.

And best of all, it didn't conflict with Bai Xuan's Natural Sovereignty. It could boost defense, serve as an offensive weapon, and grow stronger alongside his body.

"If I don't merge it, can I at least get the Armament Haki training method? One suitable for my world?" he asked.

Ding! "After merging, the member will still receive the complete Armament Haki training method."

The mechanical response satisfied him. Not a method to directly increase cultivation, but a solid way to enhance combat ability.

"Merge it, then."

A gentle energy flowed through Bai Xuan's body, and his mind automatically filled with the training method for Armament Haki.

He clenched his right hand. An energy unlike, yet very similar to, spiritual qi coursed through his arm. Within moments, his entire right arm was sheathed in a hard, purplish-black shell.

The color wasn't the standard black—but Armament Haki varied from person to person, so he didn't mind.

He tapped the armored arm. A dull thud resonated, and by feel alone, the defense was solid.

Bai Xuan's body was already incredibly strong. Even at its most basic stage, Armament Haki enhanced him further. A weaker person, even with higher-level Haki, couldn't overpower him.

After a bit of practice, he felt like a kid with a new toy—and couldn't resist the urge to go out and test it.

Slipping the spatial ring back onto his finger, Bai Xuan stepped toward the nature reserve.

"???"

It wasn't too late, and Su Yue was training to accelerate the absorption of spiritual qi from mutant creatures' meat. Hearing Bai Xuan open the door, she looked over and saw him heading for the reserve.

Her face was a picture of confusion.

What's going on? Did he skip dinner? But there's still meat from the fierce beasts… if not, he could just eat the lower-quality cuts set aside for the authorities tomorrow.

Why leave now all of a sudden?

Oh, right.

The cuts set aside for the authorities were the less flavorful ones. No wonder he's not interested.

"Bai Xuan!"

Thinking she understood him, Su Yue called after his retreating figure.

"What is it?" Bai Xuan asked, turning back.

"See if there are any tigers still hunting. I think their legs would taste amazing!"

"…."

"If no tigers, wolves will do. I've never had wolf meat. They hunt at night, so you should be able to see some, right?"

"Fine, do as you like. I'll eat anything."

Bai Xuan twitched. So in her mind, he's going to the nature reserve just because he's hungry? He was simply testing out his new power. Sure, a few mutant creatures might die in the process, and he might gather their meat—but eating wasn't the main goal. That was just a byproduct.

"I'll prep the side dishes and seasonings," Su Yue said, already heading to the kitchen.

"Come back early," she added casually.

"I got it."

Bai Xuan exhaled and stepped into the nature reserve.

Meanwhile, Su Yue paused mid-prep, tapping her chin in confusion.

"Wait… Bai Xuan's right arm… it's black? Or purplish-black?"

"Am I just seeing it wrong because it's late?"

"Probably. Human arms aren't naturally purplish-black… looks like some kind of poisoning."

She didn't dwell on it. She had long since realized how powerful Bai Xuan was; if he could resist anything, poisoning wouldn't be a concern.

Inside the nature reserve:

Boom!

A figure was sent flying, crashing hard onto the ground. After a few low moans, silence followed.

"Auwooo!"

"Auwooo!"

More howls erupted, one after another. Wolves charged recklessly, only to be violently hurled aside by Bai Xuan's overwhelming force.

"No wonder the protagonists in novels love close combat even after gaining godlike powers," Bai Xuan thought. "Or wield weapons. The feeling… it's just too satisfying."

He flicked blood off his hands as the Armament Haki faded.

Previously, he never understood why these strong characters loved melee. "A flick of the finger" or "a casual swing of lightning" seemed more efficient—but the truth was simple: the raw sensation of close-range combat was just… amazing.

The author lived it firsthand. Real men go punch to flesh!

Grinning, Bai Xuan collected the mutant wolves' corpses. As for wolf meat? He had no idea which part was good. Better study it back at home before cutting it up.
