All the harem women gasped at the same time as they gaped at me, their mouths hanging open. As I looked between all of them, I could see fear and panic painted across their faces, and that made me feel a little warm.
That they could still manage to feel fear for me despite their own situations.
"Don't look so horrified." I said to them, a small laugh leaving me. That all still remained frozen in place, exchanging wary glances.
"If you all don't get back to work right now!" One of Violet's maids yelled loudly. "You seriously are letting that stupid girl's words get to you? You must all want to get punished by lady violet today!"
All the harem women eyes widened, fear crossing their faces at once. That made me feel so bad, that they've clearly been traumatized to this extent.
I pushed off the patio, walking closer to the harem women. Up close, I could see the tiredness even more painted across their faces.
