"EDWARD"
Was all she could say...
"Hi Miss Angel" he said in his deep voice. He was smirking seeing her shocked face. She came out of her thoughts and wished him "Good morning sir" while bowing. " Take a seat Miss Angel" he said. While properly sitting down on her seat she passed her resume and he took it from her hand and read it carefully. "Your grades are quite impressive" he said while checking her resume. After asking her some questions he said" You are hired". She looked at him with shocked expression but he saw mixed expression of happiness, excitement, shocking in her beautiful eyes. "I am very grateful sir" she said while smiling but soon dropped after hearing him saying" You are hired as my secretary". He smirked. How badly she wanted to wipe of that smirk from his face. "So now he wants me to become his secretary 'Jerk' but what can I do I need this job" she thought to herself and said " Okay sir". "And one more thing I don't like people who are not punctual" he said and she nodded. "And I would like if my secretary stays by my side all time" he winked. She nodded "HUH STUPID. What does he think of himself" and she went out while bowing.
After coming back from office she told her grandmother and went to her room to take hot shower. She relaxed when the droplets of water hit her body. She came out of bathroom and applied moisture on her skin and after having dinner she went to bed .
NEXT MORNING
Its a new day and new beginning for her as it was her first day of office. She opened her beautiful eyes when sun rays fall on them. She did her morning routine and went downstairs for breakfast. She had her breakfast and left for her new job. But deep inside she knew that this will change her life completely.
After reaching at her destination she said to herself " All the best" and entered inside the building. She asked the receptionist about her work and she guided her towards her cabin". "And this is your cabin right in front boss's cabin and yeah also boss wanted to see you" she said . After telling her everything she went out and Angel went to her boss's cabin. After knocking for 2 times she heard "Come in". She opened the door and went inside. "Sir here is your today's schedule . You have two meetings one with the shareholders regarding the new project and then the 2nd one is with the CEO of "Han Enterprises" and then you are free" she said.
"I see then how about we go to lunch after I finish my work" he said. "huh?" she looked at him being confused. He chuckled seeing her reaction and said" I don't think Miss Angel that I have said something that you can't understand and I am sure you will like it".' Huh he is so full of himself. He thinks that I will go with him. Huh in your dreams jerk. Now see' she smirked. "Umm... sorry sir but I have brought my lunch with me" she said while smirking internally. "Who is telling you not to eat that I am just saying you have to eat lunch with me" he said . 'Now he is playing games with me but it looks like I have no choice left." Okay sir " she said while smiling. But only she knew how much she is cursing him internally behind this smile. " So now we should leave " he said. "What?" she saif it out loud irritated tone. "I think you just informed me about my meetings" he said while raising his right eyebrow. She blinked her eyes multiple times and said" Ohh yeah you are right hehe I thought.... " she stopped herself immediately by covering her mouth with her hands. He pressed his lips into a thin line while stopping himself from smiling after seeing her cute behaviour and said in his cold voice "You thought what Miss Angel?" he asked and she said "Nothing sir uhhh. I think we should go we are getting late for the meetings " she said looking at her watch. He nodded and left. "Aishhh what were you thinking idiot he was not asking for lunch but meeting " she sighed in frustration and ran after him and reached the elevator . "Where were you Miss Angel" he asked in his deep voice. "I was taking this file for meeting " she replied. He hummed in response and she entered inside the lift. 'Rude. How nice he was in our first two meetings and now he is so cold and rude. Huh Idiot'. She was in her thought when Edward looked at her face having annoyed expression. He chuckled internally at her childish reaction. Soon they reached the meeting room and everyone bowed towards him and meeting started.
After two hours meeting ended and everyone left but Edward was sitting there and checking the files for next meeting. She was helping him with the files. After sometime his business partner came and meeting started. After sometime meeting ended and Edward signed the deal.
Now it was lunch time and Angel was taking out her lunch . She was about to eat but someone knocked on the door. She lifted her head up and saw her boss leaning against the door with his stoic face." I think I told you in morning that we will be having our lunch together in a restaurant Miss Angel" he said. "Ohh I am very sorry sir "I said while cursing myself. " It's okay now that you have remembered so I think we should go" . "Yes sir" she replied with a smile . After that he drove to an expensive restaurant. When they entered everyone bowed to them and they sat on a table and he ordered his food and asked to order she was looking at the price but he said" don't worry the lunch is on me". She took the menu happily and ordered so many dishes that even the waiter was amused that how can someone eat that much. Edward chuckled at waiter's reaction and she said "that's it I am not that much hungry". And the waiter looked at her with shocked and wide eyes but immediately composed himself seeing the biggest mafia sitting beside her. While waiting for their orders she ate her lunch that her grandma packed for her in morning. "You surely have a great diet Miss Angel" he said to her while supressing his smile after looking at her chubby cheeks. "Huh you should not talk about someone's diet Mr Edward and I think I eat less " she replied while narrowing her eyes with her puffed cheeks . He was amused after her hearing her reply and he said" Don't you think it's inappropriate to talk to your boss like that Miss Angel" he said while looking at her and she looked unbothered . "And it is also inappropriate to comment on someone's apetite and also we are not in office so I think you are not my boss right now" she said while gulping down the glass of water. He remained silent and after sometime their food arrived. Angel was eating like a child and her cheeks were puffed . She was eating so fastly and after sometime "aasshhh it was so delicious " she said while wiping her mouth with tissue and Edward was just admiring her whole time after that the waiter came and seeing everything empty he was surprised but didn't show and Edward paid the bill and they went outside .
After reaching office both of them went to their work and Edward's cold face was back . He went to huis office and asked Angel to bring coffee for him. When Angel was making coffee for him someone from behind said "Hi" when she turned around she saw one of the employee standing there smiling sweetly. "Hey" she said with genuine smile "I guess you are the new secretary of boss" he asked. " yeah" she replied. "I am Jack" he said while forwarding his hand for handshake "I am Angel" she replied while accepting his gesture of handshake. "See you around Angel " he said while going back to work. But deep inside she knew that someone was watching them. After making coffee she went to her boss's cabin and knocked on door. He said "Come in" from inside. When she entered she saw him working on his laptop. " Sir your coffee" she said and placed it on his table. He looked at her coldly. His stares were piercing through her soul. " Don't trust other employees they are not nice people" he said while coming towards her " You never know who will stab you from behind" and stood in front of her. " I was just talking with him " she said while looking down. "Hmm" he said and went back to his seat. "You can leave" he said while looking at his laptop. She immediately went back to her cabin and cursed herself for stuttering in front of him. " How did he get to know?" she asked herself. "Is he spying on me ahh no no he will not do it." she said while working " right?" she asked herself.
EVENING TIME
As a secretary she had to leave the office after her boss now as her boss already left and her working hours are over she also decided to leave. After coming out of the office she stretched her body. She was exhausted from all of the work . All she wanted to do for now was to go back home and to take a relaxing shower and a nap. She took her first step towards her home but stopped immediately when she heard a voice behind her calling her name. "Hi Angel " he said. "Oh hi Jack" she replied with a genuine smile. " Let's go home together " he said while scratching the back of his neck. 'Now what should I do' she thought. "Act-" she tried to say but was cutoff by another voice. "I am dropping her " a man inside the car said in his deep voice. She immediately recognised the voice and widened her eyes after seeing the face of the person. "Good evening boss" both of them greeted him. "Good evening" he replied with cold face. "Come Miss Angel. I will drop you. " he said taking a glance at the boy standing beside her. She also took a look at Jack and he said " It's alright you can go". " Okay bye" she said with a small smile and he nodded and the person sitting in the car rolled his eyes at them.
After that she went inside the car and sat on the passenger's seat. "Fasten your seatbelt" he said. She did what he said. "I told you not to trust anyone here" he said while driving. "But I trust you" she said looking at him. "Why?" he asked without looking at her. " Because you saved my life twice" she said smiling sweetly. " Okay" he said and smiled. "Omg...." she said and widened her eyes in amusement. " What happened ?" he asked. "You can smile" she said with amusement . After listening to her his smile dropped and he cleared his throat. " We reached " he said. " Okay Thank you so much sir. Drive safely" she said while waving her hand towards him. " Bye" he said and drove away.
" I am back" she said while taking off her shoes but got silence as a reply . She went to living room and saw some people sitting on couch. But when she saw one of their faces she was shocked and widened her eyes in fear. Her hands started shivering and her heartbeat increased.
