"DAD"
After so many years her parents were back with her younger brother. Her grandmother looked at her with sad and worried eyes that how she will react. "Why are you back?" she said while closing her eyes and calming her fast heartbeat. "O my one and only daughter, aren't you happy that your family is back after so many years? Now we all will live together." he said with a smirk. "No you are not going to stay here with us. You abandoned me and now you are back after so many years saying that we will live like a family. That's ain't gonna happen." she said while gritting her teeth. "I didn't asked you I am telling you" her father said while sipping his tea. ""And I am also telling you to get out of thus house" she replied with stern voice. He placed his cup on the table and stood up and faced her " we will live together and that's final" he declared. She looked at her grandma hoping she will support her but no her grandma just lowered her eyes feeling defeated in front of her son. Angel didn't blame her for doing so because she knew that every mother is weak in front of her child but she was wondering that the woman sitting next to her father who was supposed to be her mother and hug her after seeing her daughter after so many years is sitting there and sipping her tea without caring about anything. Angel didn't wanted much but just an apology and reason that why they left her. But it seems like she won't get both. So she went straight to her room and shut the door.
"It's been so long since she came out of her room." the only lady who cared about her said with worried expression. "Oh mom she will be alright. She just need time" the lady next to her replied. "Hope so".
After the session of crying for 2 hours she came out of her bathroom and started working on her laptop but it seems like she wasn't able to. Like how can she. Her life took 360 degree turn in just one day. But she has to focus on her work because she always wanted to keep her personal and professional life separate. After few minutes she again started working for tomorrow's meeting but she heard a knock on her door. After giving a sigh she answered" Come in". Then a boy came inside saying" Hey". She was not ready to face him. It was like why he wants to talk to her out of all the people in her house. It was her brother. " Hey" she replied. He noticed her puffy and red eyes. " I just wanna say hope we can get along" and he left. She looked at the closed door with straight face and laughed shortly at her brother's behaviour." Seems like we will get along ". Saying this she completed her work went to sleep.
Next Day
After taking a relaxing shower , she got ready for work. There were chaos going on inside her but still she has to go for work. She went straight to work without having her breakfast while her whole family was having breakfast and chitchatting she just moved from there silently, didn't want to disturb their quality time but somewhere she knew that she wanted to stay away from them. But one person saw her moving out of the house silently and was sad about it but understood that she needs time. It was her brother.
" Good morning sir" Angel said to her boss who is sitting in his office while sipping his coffee. "So what's my schedule for today, Miss Angel" he asked with a straight face. " Today you have a meeting for the new deal and that's it you're free for rest of the day." she replied. " No you're missing something Miss Angel " he said with a smirk. " What? " she asked. " Our lunch" he said. " I didn't forget about it ,Sir. It's just it didn't count in professional work" she said with confident. " Oh I see so you consider it as personal more like a date, right Miss Angel." he said with a smirk and stood in front of her . She was speechless. She blushed because of the closeness and said "ummm I should prepare for the meeting" and left. "Shy" he said with a smile and again sat on his chair and started sipping his coffee.
After Meeting
The meeting went well and it was lunch time . " We should go for lunch Miss Angel" he said while walking towards the elevator and she nodded. After having 15 minutes ride they reached their destination. Angel was having her best time while eating her food as she was hungry since morning but little did she knew that someone is watching her every move. But she noticed something at the corner there was a couple and the boy was twisting the girl's wrist. Edward's phone rang and he went outside to pick it up as it was related to his mafia work. Angel was watching the couple as she didn't wanted to interfere between them but after sometime it went overboard when he slapped her. She stood up from her seat and went to that guy and slapped him very hard and asked the girl whether she is okay or not. Fortunately the girl was fine. Then she moved towards the boy and so him in front of her ready slap her but she caught his wrist and pushed him which made him fall. Then Angel held the wrist of the girl and started walking towards door but the boy behind her was so angry that he hit her from chair. She fell down while screaming and the last thing she saw was her boss coming towards her and then she was consumed by darkness.
At The Hospital
Angel woke up with the be doing sound of the machine and her head throbbed and her back was hurting due to the attack. She saw someone sitting on the sofa and it was none other than her boss. "Oh! You woke up" he walked towards her and made her sit comfortably on the bed. "Doc said you have a little concussion and there is nothing to be worried about." And gave her a glass of water. "What about that that guy in the restraunt?" She asked while sipping a water from the glass." That idiot won't be able to touch any women from now onwards" he said while clenching his jaw and it looked like he was holding back his storm. "Where is my phone?" she asked him. He took it out from his pocket and gave it to her. 50 missed calls from her grandmother! "Oh my god! Iam late. My grandmother is waiting for me." She started to get up from her bed but her boss interrupted her " You're going nowhere I have already told your family about your condition and you're not healthy to go home yet so rest." It was hard to win against him and specially his cold blue eyes. It scares her a lot and it just become unbearable for her to stay with and as usual she rolled her eyes at that thought. Then she went back to bed. " You saved me third time" she said while staring at him. " Three is a lucky number" he said smirking at her. Then she went back to sleep. At midnight, someone woke up from the hospital bed with the intent of running away. She looked at her jailor who was sleeping peacefully on the couch and started walking through her tip toes towards the door. As she was about to open the door someone held her hand and took her back to bed. " I was aware of your tactics. Stop being so stubborn and sleep" he said while tucking her back to bed. After two days, she was having a fight with her boss who was not minding her bickering and drove her back to home.
As she entered her little brother came to her with worried face. " Are you alright, sis?" She smiled widely at him and answered "Yeah". She saw her father lazily lying on the couch and gave him a look and then her grandma approached her " Are you fine, my child?" She hugged her tightly and answered " yes grandma". " Get changed and then let's have dinner" after that I went to my room and then got freshen up. After that she came downstairs to get her dinner. " Why is he back after so my years of leaving us alone here?"she said while munching her food with her brother. Her mother was not at home she went to a relative's house. " He has lost all his money in gambling" her grandma answered. She looked at her with wide eyes. " Really??? Well expected of him" she said laying back in the chair." Yeah he is always like that" her brother said while eyeing the food . She looked at him with concern. After dinner she went to take a walk in the alley. While she was walking she saw a black SUV tracking her. She decided to go back and turned around but she heard some footsteps behind her and started running and the per son behind her also started running but he was fast enough to stop her and caught her wrist but at the same time someone came outside of the black suv and held that masked man's arm and twisted it and punched him hard on his face and asked his bodyguards to take him. When he came towards her his face became visible to her in the moonlight and his blue eyes were shining. " Boss" she said while calming her breath. " Told you not to walk alone" he said while checking her face " you're now mine to protect" saying this he held her hand and brought her back to her house.
" You were stalking me" she said while being offended . " And you should be thankful for that after witnessing today's action movie right?" After hearing this she huffed and went back to her house without giving him a glance but what she didn't know was that someone was seeing all this from behind the curtains. She came back to her room and checked from her window if he is still there or not but didn't find anyone and felt relaxed. She looked at her side table for water but the jug was empty so she went to kitchen to fill it up and while coming back to her room she saw her father at the doorway "Playing hero for others? That boss of yours . What was his name- Ahhh- I recalled Edward Kayley." She panicked while failing to remember 'Did they have any conversation about her boss at the table or did she ever tell her family her boss's name?' " Dangerous mafia. Stay away from him or you will drag all of us down with you" her father warned her. " Like you did while gambling alk the money away " she said as she was already pissed at him. He got angry and went towards his room. Then she sigh in relief and went to her room locking her room properly and went to bed but her mind was a mess. She wasn't able to sleep properly and was constantly thinking of how her father knows him . Were they like enemies or did they have a past but she was not able to conclude anything from these thoughts and whatever the conversation she had with her father outside the room. After thinking aboit all these situation her mind thought about the time when he saved her in alley from that man. She was having a weird feeling while thinking about it but it was somehow giving her positive attitude towards her boss. After all these hectic events she went back to sleep " He is always there".
