Chapter 24 - The Princess and the Guardian of Gold

Once upon a time, there was a kingdom called Golden Valley. It was rich and beautiful, filled with treasures and happy people. But one dark day, a cruel warlord invaded. He burned the palaces, stole the gold, and overthrew the royal family.

Only one survived.

A young Princess named Elara. She fled into the deep mountains, her heart heavy with grief and burning with the desire for justice.

High in the mountains, hidden in a cave that glowed with a strange light, Elara found something extraordinary.

It was not a bear, nor a lion, nor a dragon. It was the Pi Xiu.

It had the head of a mighty dragon, the body of a strong horse, and feet like a unicorn, covered in fur as white as silver clouds. It looked like a majestic tiger, but it was something far more ancient and magical.

"Who dares enter my home?" a voice rumbled like stones grinding together.

"I am Elara," she said bravely. "My kingdom is stolen. My people are suffering. I have nothing left but my sorrow."

The Pi Xiu looked at her. It was the guardian of wealth, a creature that ate only gold and jewels, keeping them safe forever inside its belly, never letting them go.

"You have no treasure to offer me," said the beast.

"I have nothing," Elara wept, "but I have a heart that is true, and a will that is strong."

The Pi Xiu was moved by her courage. It knew that the evil warlord was greedy, hoarding gold like a dragon, but using it only for darkness.

"I will help you," said the Pi Xiu. "For I am the protector of fortune, and I do not tolerate evil."

Together, they descended the mountain.

When they reached the capital city, the warlord was sitting on the stolen throne, surrounded by piles of gold coins and precious stones. He laughed when he saw Elara.

"Look at the little beggar princess!" he mocked. "Do you come to beg for crumbs?"

"No," said Elara firmly. "I have come to take back what is mine."

The warlord ordered his soldiers to attack, but the Pi Xiu stepped forward. It let out a roar that shook the very ground. It was not just an animal; it was a magical force that repelled all evil.

Where the Pi Xiu walked, darkness fled. The soldiers felt a terrible fear, as if their own wickedness was turning against them. They dropped their weapons and ran away.

But the Pi Xiu had a special power against the greedy warlord. It opened its great jaws.

GULP! SUCK!

A powerful wind blew from the beast's mouth. All the stolen gold, silver, jewels, and treasures that the warlord had piled up in the hall began to fly through the air, straight into the Pi Xiu's mouth!

"No! Stop! That is mine!" screamed the warlord, trying to hold onto his coins.

But wealth belongs to those who rule with kindness, not thieves. The Pi Xiu swallowed every single piece of treasure. It kept them safe inside, never to be wasted by evil hands again.

Deprived of his power and his stolen wealth, the warlord was weak and helpless. He was captured, and justice was done.

The people cheered as Elara took her place as their rightful ruler.

The Pi Xiu did not leave. It stayed in the palace, becoming the guardian of the kingdom. It ensured that wealth would flow into the land, but never flow out to enemies. It protected the people from harm and bad luck, making the kingdom prosperous and safe forever.

And so, Princess Elara ruled with wisdom, knowing that true power comes not just from gold, but from a brave heart and a loyal friend.

And they lived happily and wealthily ever after.
