Chapter 23 - Chapter 23 – Welcome to Hell Training

"What kind of magic is it?"

"Can it really make us stronger?"

"That's obvious! If we can fight endlessly, of course we'll get stronger!"

"Does it summon enemies? Like a Boggart?"

"We already passed the Boggart exams ages ago!"

The entire Slytherin common room exploded into discussion instantly.

Sean ignored all of it calmly.

At that moment, only one thought existed in his mind.

If he was getting tortured in that training room, there was absolutely no way he'd suffer alone.

Besides, these arrogant little snakes truly needed proper training.

Without hesitation, Sean silently gave the command.

"System. Pull all Slytherin students into the training room."

The next second, the world around everyone suddenly twisted violently.

The warm green-lit common room vanished completely.

In its place appeared the endless dark wasteland of the training ground.

The younger students immediately screamed in shock.

"What—?!"

"How is this possible?!"

"Is this some kind of illusion spell?"

"No… impossible!" one of the older students shouted in disbelief. "There were no magical fluctuations at all!"

Several sixth and seventh years stared at Sean as though they were looking at a monster.

But Sean remained perfectly calm.

"This is a special magical space I obtained accidentally," he explained casually. "You don't need to panic. Nobody can truly die here."

Then his expression slowly became serious.

"However, I need to warn all of you."

The surrounding students instinctively quieted down.

"You will still experience pain." Sean's voice lowered slightly. "And you will still feel death."

The air instantly became colder.

"If you reach your limit mentally, stop immediately. Don't force yourselves."

Sean understood the horror of this place better than anyone present.

Instant death from a curse wasn't actually too bad. The pain barely lasted an instant.

But after clearing the level repeatedly, Sean had already experienced all sorts of horrific deaths.

The worst one by far had been getting blown apart piece by piece.

That kind of death didn't happen instantly.

You remained conscious for several terrifying moments while your body literally tore itself apart.

Just remembering it made Sean's scalp tingle.

"Only six people can challenge the level at once," Sean continued calmly. "Split yourselves into teams freely and prepare."

After saying that, Sean casually leaned against a dead tree nearby with folded arms, silently observing everyone.

This was another test.

If the older students selfishly grouped only with other seniors, Sean would honestly be disappointed. Those idiots would probably spend weeks getting massacred inside the training room without learning anything useful.

Fortunately, after some discussion, the senior students quickly decided every group should include at least two first-years.

That way the teams remained balanced.

Sean nodded inwardly with satisfaction.

Not bad.

At least they weren't completely hopeless.

"Very good." Sean straightened slightly. "Charlie, your group goes first. Let everyone else watch carefully."

Charlie swallowed nervously before leading five students toward the centre of the wasteland.

"How do we start?" he asked stiffly.

Sean smiled faintly.

"Just say: Open Level One."

Charlie's expression turned strange.

"That's seriously the activation phrase?"

Still, he obeyed.

"Open Level One!"

The moment the words left his mouth, an invisible barrier slowly rose around the six students.

Everyone outside immediately focused nervously on the enclosed battlefield.

Then—

Six black-robed figures suddenly appeared ahead of Charlie's group.

"Be careful!"

A seventh-year outside the barrier instantly raised his wand in panic.

"Reducto!"

A red curse shot toward the battlefield and slammed violently against the barrier—

Only to disappear without causing the slightest ripple.

Sean lazily rested his chin against one hand while lying beneath the tree.

"Don't waste your energy," he said calmly. "People outside can't interfere. Those are the rules."

Inside the barrier, Charlie's group finally reacted.

But before they could organise themselves properly, six curses were already flying toward them.

Charlie's reaction speed was far faster than Sean's original attempt.

After all, he was still a sixth-year student.

"Protego!"

A powerful shield instantly expanded before the group.

Boom!!

Six curses smashed violently against the barrier, causing cracks to spread instantly across the magical shield.

But this time—

The attack was blocked.

"We survived!"

Charlie's face immediately filled with excitement.

His large buck teeth even showed as he grinned triumphantly.

Unfortunately, before his smile could fully form—

A cold voice suddenly echoed from behind the group.

"Reducto."

Charlie's expression froze.

The next instant, he felt his body tear apart violently.

His head rolled across the ground.

From the strange angle of his severed vision, Charlie finally saw the attacker.

One of the black-robed wizards had somehow already moved behind them.

Then everything went dark.

Without Charlie protecting the formation, the remaining five students collapsed almost immediately afterward.

The battle ended in seconds.

Outside the barrier, the watching Slytherins exploded instantly.

"They died?!"

"I thought you said nobody dies here!"

One furious student pointed his wand directly at Sean.

"You bastard! I'm going to—"

Before he could rush forward, several nearby students grabbed him immediately.

"Steve, stop!"

"Think about what Sean said earlier!"

"Think before you act!"

The student barely calmed down, though rage still burned in his eyes.

Then suddenly someone shouted:

"Look!"

Everyone turned toward the battlefield.

The barrier slowly vanished.

And there, lying on the ground, were the six students—alive once again.

"They're alive!"

The surrounding Slytherins instantly erupted into relieved cheers.

But Charlie and the others didn't look relieved at all.

Their faces were pale as paper.

The feeling of death still lingered vividly in their minds.

Especially Charlie.

He could still remember seeing his own body from the ground.

That sensation nearly made him vomit.

Sean slowly walked over and extended a hand toward him.

"First death feels terrible, doesn't it?"

Charlie stared at Sean blankly for a moment before grabbing his hand and standing up with a shaky breath.

Then Sean turned toward the others and said loudly:
