Chapter 120is out!!!! +40 advanced chapters monthly
There's an old saying on the seas: A single perfected trick is enough to conquer the world. It wasn't just empty talk.
This was especially obvious in Fenty's case. His fight against Diles was completely one-sided, dominating him from the start.
Meanwhile, Baishui's clash with Melina was just beginning.
"What a terrifying ability. You guys are really strong!" Baishui laughed, dismissing his Light Particle Barrier. He smirked at Melina, his mocking pout bearing an uncanny resemblance to Admiral Kizaru.
"Hehe, since you know how powerful my ability is, why don't you just hand over the letter of appointment? Save yourself the suffering," Melina giggled, her eyes practically overflowing with amorous intent.
"Heh, forget it. This thing already has a designated owner. No one but Gecko Moria is getting his hands on it—not even you." Baishui shook his head, making it painfully clear that negotiating was off the table.
"Very well. If that's how it is, I'll just have to take it by force!"
Knowing Baishui wouldn't surrender the letter easily, Melina decided to make the Marine suffer.
"Amorous Wink!"
Melina blinked playfully at Baishui. His Kenbunshoku Haki flared with a warning, and he vanished in a flash of light just in time.
The Marine subordinates behind him, however, weren't so lucky. Their eyes instantly clouded over. Suddenly infatuated with the pirate captain, they turned their rifles entirely on Baishui, their faces twisting with hostility toward their own superior.
"What's your move now?" Melina gloated, brimming with confidence. "Will you kill your own men, or will you be a good boy and hand over the letter? I might just show them some mercy."
"If that's how it is, then I'll just have to kill them. Weakness is a sin, after all."
Melina had fully expected him to hesitate and weigh his options. Instead, Baishui was ruthlessly decisive. He raised his weapon, aiming directly at his charmed men without batting an eye.
"You're ruthless!" Melina didn't dare press her luck. She bounded backward, retreating rapidly.
"Run? Where do you think you can run to?" Baishui aimed his right hand into the empty air above. Instead of firing immediately, he swept his hand in a slow arc, waiting for a lock-on.
Suddenly, his eyes flashed. He pulled the trigger.
Whoosh!
A beam of searing light tore through the sky just as Melina materialized. Realizing she was completely locked on, she gritted her teeth and desperately twisted mid-air, vanishing once again.
BOOM! The light cannon detonated, the concussive shockwave rippling across the sea and kicking up massive swells.
"I said... where do you think you're going?"
Melina's pupils shrank to pinpricks. Baishui's voice had just echoed from directly behind her.
"Light Particle Kick!"
The crisis was imminent. Melina was terrified, but a pirate with a 240,000,000 Berry bounty was no pushover. She violently contorted her waist mid-air, dropping her weight just enough to evade Baishui's sweeping leg. Using the momentum, she coiled her arm back and threw a devastating punch straight at his chest.
"Busoshoku: Koka!" Baishui muttered.
Pitch-black Armament Haki instantly coated his chest. Simultaneously, a burst of light erupted beneath his foot, creating a solid platform of energy. Pushing off it, he launched a second, point-blank kick at her.
Thud! Melina's desperate, heavy punch struck Baishui's Haki-clad chest, but it was like punching a mountain. It didn't even make him flinch.
Her eyes widened in sheer disbelief, but it was too late to dodge the retaliation.
Cough! Blood sprayed from Melina's lips. She was launched backward like a cannonball, violently crashing straight into the hull of her own galleon and leaving a massive, splintered crater in her wake.
"Light Particle Cannon!"
Without missing a beat, Baishui fired a searing beam of condensed light into the wreckage.
BOOM! The galleon detonated. Splinters flew like shrapnel as a massive, rolling fireball engulfed the vessel. Just like that, the Red Lips Pirates' flagship was reduced to ash and driftwood.
"NO!" the crew shrieked, their voices tearing with despair. They thought their captain could at least hold her own against the Marine, but she had been utterly crushed in under two minutes—and now their ship was gone.
"Die, Marine!"
A scrawny, middle-aged swordsman launched himself into the sky, kicking off the air using the Rokushiki technique, Geppo. He wielded twin blades, radiating a sharp, deadly aura as he closed in.
"Eat this!" another pirate roared from below, firing a massive bazooka shell that shrieked through the air toward Baishui. Even he felt a twinge of danger from the incoming payload.
"Light Particle Wings!"
But when it came to aerial combat, Baishui feared no one. Wings of pure light sprouted from his back. With a powerful flap, he ascended sharply, banking to weave effortlessly between the two attacks.
"Don't let him get away!" The scrawny swordsman refused to give up, chasing Baishui through the sky with Geppo.
"Light Particle Flurry!"
There was no better move for swatting pests out of the air.
Faced with a sudden barrage of violent, glowing energy orbs, the swordsman panicked. He wildly swung his twin blades to deflect the volley, but defending left his momentum dead. He was completely suspended in mid-air.
"Light Particle Cannon!"
Baishui raised his right hand, formed a finger gun, and "pulled the trigger." A sharp screech tore through the atmosphere as a laser pierced cleanly through the swordsman's chest. The pirate's eyes glazed over, and he plummeted into the sea.
Suddenly, a severe sense of crisis flared from beneath him. Another bazooka shell was hurtling up toward him, less than ten meters away.
"Light Particle Cannon!" Baishui didn't dare get careless. He fired a quick blast to intercept the shell.
BOOM! The mid-air collision unleashed a scorching shockwave, the violent winds knocking Baishui slightly off balance.
"Charming Light Arrows!"
Just as Baishui was momentarily disoriented, a cold voice rang out from the wreckage below. Melina, battered and completely drenched, pulled her hands together to form a massive heart—a stance strikingly similar to the Pirate Empress, Boa Hancock. She unleashed a dense, terrifying swarm of glowing arrows straight at him.
Baishui didn't know exactly what would happen if those arrows hit him, but he knew better than to let an unknown Devil Fruit ability connect.
Whoosh! Flaring his wings, Baishui shifted his trajectory, diving in a serpentine curve to evade the barrage while closing the distance to Melina.
"Damn it!" Melina cursed, gritting her teeth in frustration.
She had severely underestimated Baishui's strength. Now, she couldn't beat him, and she had no way to run. Even her ship had been blown to pieces. If her reflexes hadn't been razor-sharp, she would already be a corpse.
I have to risk it. The moment he gets close, I'll use my awakening. It's do or die! she thought. The nearest allied ship was over a hundred meters away. She was out of options.
As Baishui closed in on the ten-meter mark, he quickly drew a bead on her and fired a piercing laser. He wasn't going to miss a perfect opening.
But in that split second, he caught the look of absolute, desperate madness in Melina's eyes. His instincts immediately screamed at him to be on guard.
Melina's eyes swirled with a strange, hypnotic magic. She met Baishui's gaze and gave a slow, deliberate blink.
Then, her body contorted like a viper, dodging his killing shot with an impossible, inhuman posture. She pushed off a floating piece of the deck, her legs radiating a tangible, concussive force as she launched a devastating kick at Baishui.
A 240,000,000 Berry bounty wasn't earned solely through a Devil Fruit ability.
Suddenly, an overwhelming aura of submission crashed into Baishui's mind, a psychic weight forcing him to bow before her.
"Are you kidding me?!" Baishui roared. He unleashed a savage burst of Haki, instantly shattering the mental compulsion.
Just as his mind cleared, his body tensed—an emergency flare from his Kenbunshoku Haki. Melina's legs were mere inches away. He didn't dare underestimate her.
"Busoshoku: Koka!"
Pitch-black Haki instantly clad his body.
CLANG! Even with the defense, the sheer force of the impact sent Baishui flying backward, the collision ringing out like striking steel.
"I'm not letting you off that easy!" Melina wasn't about to waste her only opening. She bounded off another piece of driftwood, closing the gap like a hunting leopard.
"Light Particle Kick!"
Mid-flight, Baishui flared his wings, violently twisting his body in a maneuver Melina never anticipated. He delivered a brutal counter-kick straight to her abdomen.
Melina coughed up another mouthful of blood and was sent spiraling downward once more.
Just before crashing into the ocean, Baishui folded his wings and plummeted. The sheer force of his dive cratered the sea's surface. Using the momentum, he rebounded, launching himself back toward the sky.
"Red Lips Melina, you're coming with me!"
Flipping mid-air, Baishui dove straight down, completely ignoring the frantic gunfire from the surviving Red Lips pirates. He crashed directly into the splintered remains of the galleon where Melina had landed.
Cough, cough... Inside the wreckage, Melina slumped against a broken wooden beam, gasping for air. Her chest heaved heavily, her face entirely devoid of color.
Damn it... I can't even stand up without five minutes of rest, she cursed inwardly, trying to force her legs to work. They were completely numb. She had to give up.
Whoosh! A blur of light materialized in front of her. Baishui stood over her, a cold smile playing on his lips.
"Red Lips Melina. Regrettably, you are under arrest."
Before she could even twitch, Baishui clamped a pair of Seastone handcuffs onto her wrists. Instantly, whatever fight was left in her vanished. Stripped of her strength by the sea's energy, she collapsed onto the deck, looking closer to death than ever.
Thump! Thump! Thump! Suddenly, a horde of low-level pirates swarmed the entrance, blades drawn, blocking Baishui's exit. Seeing their captain being dragged like a dead dog sent them into a frenzy.
"You bastard! You dare treat our captain like that?! We're taking you down with us!"
Baishui didn't even blink. He expanded his Light Particle Barrier, letting their swords bounce harmlessly off the energy shield.
"Scatter," Baishui commanded softly.
A terrifying repulsive force erupted from the barrier. The pirates were blasted backward, unable to resist as they slammed brutally into the surrounding wreckage.
But just as Baishui stepped out of the ruined cabin, a massive, heavy blade cleaved directly into his barrier.
CLANG! The sheer kinetic force of the strike was enough to send a jolt up Baishui's arm. He narrowed his eyes, focusing on the attacker.
It was Fenty—the pirate with a 120,000,000 Berry bounty.
