Chapter 99 - The Batman Wielding the Power of a Million Suns

Even though Catwoman's speed was incredibly fast at this moment, the military surveillance satellites still managed to capture the footage of her sending Faora flying.

Seeing a Kryptonian—who had just completely shrugged off heavy missile strikes—getting knocked down by a woman who appeared out of nowhere, General Swanwick asked the soldiers around him:

"Who is this woman that just suddenly appeared?"

A highly trained soldier quickly ran a facial recognition search on Selina and immediately reported the findings:

"Sir, she's Catwoman. She's a vigilante operating in the gray areas of Gotham who recently emerged. However, according to her file, aside from feline-like agility, her physical strength shouldn't be much different from a regular human. We have no idea how she suddenly became this incredibly powerful."

"Suddenly became this powerful?" the General muttered. He then shifted his gaze to the man leisurely walking step-by-step toward the other Kryptonian warrior. "Could it be because of him?"

The soldier's next words perfectly validated his suspicion:

"Sir, we couldn't find any data on that man. Not even a partial facial match. It's almost as if he... isn't from Earth at all!"

Meanwhile, Clark was desperately engaged in combat with the Kryptonians.

In the past, he had never encountered an enemy with a physical constitution remotely similar to his own. His previous fights were all won through sheer, overwhelming stats. Because of this, he completely lacked actual martial arts experience, relying entirely on instinctual, unrefined haymakers.

Right now, poor Clark was being relentlessly double-teamed by two Kryptonians. Facing these ruthless warriors who didn't care about fighting fair, his weak points were repeatedly targeted with heavy blows.

Among those weak points, poor "Little Clark" took multiple direct hits. Perhaps out of sheer jealousy—thinking Clark's was bigger than his own—the male Kryptonian ruthlessly and repeatedly attacked Clark's nether regions.

After taking multiple brutal strikes, even through the dense alien armor, it was visibly obvious that "Little Clark" was genuinely swollen!

However, perhaps upon witnessing the astonishing scale of "Little Clark," Faora subconsciously squeezed her legs together, and even the intensity of her attacks weakened slightly. Truly worthy of a package only slightly smaller than those of the esteemed readers; if not for her tactical intelligence kicking back in, the Kryptonian Sub-Commander Faora might have been charmed and swayed to defect by this massive anaconda!

And it was right as Clark was getting beaten to a pulp that a figure suddenly appeared. With a single punch, she sent Faora—who had been lunging at Clark—flying away. Her speed was even faster than Faora's!

Faora was suddenly struck right in the chest. Her already less-than-prominent "plains" instantly caved into a "canyon." It looked absolutely pathetic. The crater was so deep that even the Kryptonian's terrifying healing factor couldn't quickly pop it back into place.

Looking forward at the pretentious woman strapped with two giant "landmines" cheering and dancing in joy, Faora felt like she was going to explode from sheer rage. Her chest crater finally popped back to normal, and even swelled a little bit—achieving a qualitative breakthrough from 'nothing' to an A-cup.

She glared jealously at the human woman before her. Aren't those two giant landmines heavy? Won't they drag you down in a fight? She really has no talent for combat, Faora thought bitterly.

She sneered viciously at Selina:

"It seems this planet isn't entirely devoid of strong fighters. You count as one, at least. But you're still too weak. You are no match for me!"

From that brief contact, Faora realized this Earth woman also had virtually zero combat experience. Even if her speed and strength were technically superior, Faora believed she could still secure victory through sheer martial prowess and combat experience.

Hearing Faora's taunt, Selina proudly puffed out her chest, looking disdainfully at Faora's flat "airport." The winner and loser were obvious at a single glance.

Thanks to Su Mu's "development" over the past few days, Selina's already impressive figure had grown even more magnificent. She was an absolute E-class powerhouse now; a measly A-cup was fundamentally no match for her.

"With just your pair of A-cups?" Selina mocked disdainfully. After being empowered by her boss, she was overflowing with absolute confidence!

"You bitch! I'll tear that filthy mouth off your face and chop those two useless lumps of meat into pieces!"

Faora's mental defenses were instantly shattered. This was the greatest sore spot of her life. Being mocked for it by Selina pushed her into a blind, furious rage, and she launched herself at her opponent.

But the exact moment they clashed, Faora was instantly sent rocketing backward!

"How can your physical constitution be this strong?! What are you?!" Faora asked in disbelief.

Under the microscopic, absolute control of the Six Eyes and Energy Absorption, no symbiote could passively siphon Su Mu's abilities. However, if he actively stored a fraction of his power within the symbiote, it could utilize that power freely.

Because his abilities were far too overwhelmingly complex, the symbiote couldn't handle the massive data load; it could only store a tiny fraction of a single skill. Yet, under Su Mu's direct energy enhancement, the symbiote could temporarily unleash more than half of Su Mu's actual output.

And the ability currently granted to Selina's symbiote was none other than Level 5 Energy Absorption.

Even if she couldn't output the full power of Level 5, it was more than enough to completely crush these newly-arrived Kryptonians.

All ambient energy around them, whether it was solar radiation or kinetic impact, was entirely absorbed by Selina. Faora's attacks couldn't inflict a single scratch, while Selina's strength effortlessly shattered Faora's defenses. Poor Faora was crushed not only in measurements but in sheer combat power as well.

Meanwhile, Clark was still fighting the other Kryptonian warrior. Without Faora double-teaming him, the warrior was slowly losing ground.

However, in a moment of carelessness, Clark was sent flying by a heavy punch, tumbling violently down the asphalt, carving a deep trench before finally skidding to a halt right at Su Mu's feet.

He immediately got up and warned Su Mu:

"Get out of here quickly! It's too dangerous!"

Having said that, he turned back, preparing to brace for the Kryptonian warrior's incoming attack. But before he could even retaliate, he watched the Kryptonian warrior suddenly blast backward like a cannonball, crashing through dozens of houses and getting buried under a massive pile of rubble, completely unmoving.

Clark immediately dodged to the side and turned to look behind him, instantly noticing the anomaly.

His X-ray vision actually couldn't see through the man standing there; it was as if the man's entire body was lined with lead.

"Are you... from Earth?" Clark asked uncertainly.

At some point, the clothing on Su Mu's body had completely morphed, taking on the exact appearance of the Batman! He spoke to Superman in a deep, dark, gravelly voice:

"You are the one who brought these Kryptonian invaders here!"

Faced with the sudden, heavy accusation, Superman fell silent. After all, what the man said was true. "Who are you?"

Under the effect of Energy Absorption, the sunlight around Su Mu visibly dimmed. He appeared to be cloaked in absolute darkness, like a phantom of the night that had corrupted the sun itself, actively stripping away the source of the Kryptonians' power.

He was mysterious and commanding, cold and restrained. Like a cold-blooded bat, he was a predator of the night.

Su Mu's tone grew even deeper and more profound: "I am the Dark Knight who protects this world. I am Batman. Clark Kent, I know who you are. You brought these invaders here. I expect there won't be a next time!"

Clark stared at the Batman before him in absolute shock. He knew of Batman, a superhero operating in Gotham. He actually held a lot of respect for this hero's "no-kill" rule, as it aligned perfectly with his own pacifist ideals.

However, to his knowledge, Batman was just a physically fit, ordinary human. He might possess some high-tech gadgets, but he shouldn't possess physical stats on par with Superman!

As if reading Clark's mind, the man dressed as Batman spoke in his profoundly deep voice:

"Your perspective is far too narrow. There are countless ways to acquire power in this world. Among them is a unique variant known as Platinum Kryptonite, which can permanently transform an ordinary human into a Kryptonian. But I merely used the power of science. I drank a Super Soldier Serum containing the power of a million suns. I can now wield the power of a million exploding suns!"

Clark was completely dumbfounded. He knew that Kryptonian power was derived purely from the radiation of a single yellow sun. If a person truly possessed the power of a million suns, just how terrifyingly powerful would they be?!

Completely ignoring Superman, Su Mu walked toward the Kryptonian warrior who was struggling to get out of the rubble:

"Clark, I can clean up your mess this time. But I don't want to see a next time!"

As soon as the words fell, Su Mu vanished from his spot, instantly materializing in front of the Kryptonian warrior. His speed was so absolute that not even Clark's eyes could track it! (After all, it was spatial teleportation).

Su Mu smiled at the Kryptonian trying to stand, raised his foot, and stomped down violently.

Fissures hundreds of meters long rapidly spider-webbed outward from the Kryptonian's body. The surrounding earth immediately sank several meters, and the Kryptonian warrior, whose head took the brunt of the blow, nearly passed out, his eyes rolling back.

Dissatisfied with the result of that stomp, Su Mu amplified the power of his energy enhancement and stomped down again.

The dense, sickening sound of shattering bones and cracking earth filled the air. The Kryptonian warrior—who could previously spar evenly with Clark—immediately slipped into a deep coma, looking like he was breathing out more air than he was taking in.

Su Mu nodded in satisfaction, grabbing the Kryptonian by the collar and slowly dragging him out. Right at that moment, Selina had just finished subduing Faora, dragging her along as she met up with Su Mu.

Seeing Su Mu, Selina was incredibly excited. She had suddenly fallen deeply in love with the feeling of hand-to-hand brawling. Naturally, she also knew exactly who had granted her this power. She walked right up to Su Mu and planted a kiss directly on his fabricated, cleft "bat-chin":

"How did I do, boss?"

"Excellent. I'll properly reward you when we get back."

The little kitty's face flushed slightly red.

Su Mu gave Clark one last look, leaving behind a profound "Mind yourself," before opening a golden portal and vanishing from the small town.

Clark stared dumbfounded at the disappearing portal and the two instantly defeated Kryptonian warriors:

"Is this... the power of a million suns? So utterly terrifying!"

The events in Smallville had been broadcasted live across the entire internet. The brief retreat of the Kryptonians caused everyone to cheer, but the sudden appearance of Batman and Catwoman at the end drew an enormous, explosive number of fans.

"Oh my god, Batman is just too cool! I've never idolized someone so much before."

"Yeah, and Catwoman's figure is absolutely top-tier. Did you see how insanely jealous that alien woman was getting?"

"I really didn't expect Batman to be this ridiculously strong. I always thought he was just a regular guy with gadgets."

"Me too, but the truth is right in front of us! We have to believe it. It turns out Batman is the true god among men!"

On a lush, tree-lined hillside, a magnificent manor was enveloped by thick greenery. This was the residence of Gotham's richest man, and the home of the Batman: Wayne Manor.

Inside the manor's kitchen, Bruce Wayne held a spoon frozen in mid-air. He had maintained this exact posture for several minutes.

His butler beside him was in the exact same state. Both of them were staring blankly at the live news broadcast on the television.

At this moment, Bruce Wayne had only one thought echoing in his mind:

If you're Batman... then who the hell am I?

Alfred slowly withdrew his gaze, looking at Bruce with a bizarre, deeply conflicted expression. After hesitating for a moment, he said uncertainly:

"Master Wayne... I am not a mole. You know you can tell me anything."

Bruce Wayne choked on his breath, nearly suffocating on the food he had just swallowed. He looked at his butler in absolute disbelief and quickly retorted:

"Alfred, you know this! I've been in Gotham this whole time, I haven't gone anywhere! That wasn't me! Someone is impersonating me!"
