Gotham. In a remote, secluded corner, a dimly lit room seemed completely impenetrable to light, keeping it perpetually shrouded in a layer of deep shadows.
The Joker stared dead at the television screen in front of him. The man he obsessed over day and night was currently fighting alongside another man, and they looked awfully intimate.
The Joker had to admit it—he was jealous!
Batman, the one you love the most should be me! How dare you betray me!
The Joker smiled neurotically, the corners of his mouth twitching upward. His smile grew wider and wider until it finally broke into a fit of maniacal, hysterical laughter.
He knew he had to take action. He had to snatch Batman back from Superman!
Opening a Mystic Portal, Su Mu returned to his seaside mega-mansion.
This coastal villa was recently purchased by Selina. Although her little cat-den was cozy enough, after spending so much time there, the lingering biological scent of their intense "activities" simply wouldn't fade. Therefore, acquiring a spacious, well-ventilated mansion was an absolute necessity.
The group stepped out of the portal. Su Mu extracted two Symbiotes and forcefully bonded them to the two captive Kryptonian warriors. He was attempting to use the Symbiotes to replicate the Kryptonian innate talent of absorbing yellow sun radiation to grow stronger.
The Kryptonian physiology was incredibly unscientific; merely basking in sunlight allowed them to scale up to planet-moving levels of strength. Even his current Level 5 Energy Absorption couldn't passively generate power out of nowhere like that.
Using a twisted gravitational field, Su Mu suspended the two bound Kryptonians high in the sky like kites, exposing them to the direct rays of the yellow sun. Meanwhile, Su Mu and Catwoman comfortably lay on lounge chairs, sunbathing. As boundless energy was generated within the Kryptonians' bodies, Su Mu continuously siphoned it away using Energy Absorption. Finally, his internal energy reserves began to steadily increase.
Faora glared fiercely at the Earthling below. Logically, under the yellow sun's radiation, her physical attributes should have been growing exponentially stronger. Yet right now, she was growing weaker and weaker. The moment her body generated new energy, it instantly vanished without a trace.
Faora knew perfectly well that every drop of energy she produced was being devoured by the man in front of her.
She tried to probe for information about her captor. This enemy was far too terrifying. For the first time in her life, she was actually losing faith in the invincible General Zod.
"I never imagined Earth harbored an entity like you!"
Su Mu took a sip of expensive red wine and replied lazily:
"Of course. And besides me, there are other absolute powerhouses out there. For example, the Martian Manhunter or Shazam. They are all incredibly formidable warriors."
Faora processed the information in Su Mu's words, then looked down in horror at the black, viscous liquid continuously writhing across her body. The slime was incredibly restless, making her skin crawl.
"What is this black sludge you've placed on us?"
Su Mu didn't bother hiding it. He yawned and said casually:
"Your Kryptonian genetics are quite fascinating. I'm trying to replicate your innate talents. If I succeed, then these 'Kryptonian-brand batteries' won't be necessary anymore."
Kryptonian-brand batteries?!
Dark lines formed on Faora's forehead. This man was actually treating the supreme Kryptonian race as mere disposable batteries!
Despite the burning rage in her heart, Faora forcibly suppressed it. She was no match for this monster at her peak, let alone in her currently weakened, drained state.
Su Mu swallowed a cherry fed to him by Catwoman's slender fingers and continued:
"That is a Symbiote. It can perfectly replicate its host's abilities. Of course, this replication has an upper limit, but I believe copying the baseline traits of an ordinary Kryptonian shouldn't be an issue."
Su Mu used gravity to pull Faora down so she hovered right in front of him. He violently pinched her cheeks, staring directly into her terrified eyes:
"Oh, I forgot to mention... I can mass-produce these Symbiotes almost infinitely. Soon, Earth will be swarming with an army of superheroes possessing Kryptonian powers. Don't you think that sounds incredibly fun?"
Faora: "..."
No! I have to find a way to warn General Zod! Earth is far too dangerous; we need to invade a different planet!
Far away, aboard the Kryptonian mothership, General Zod noticed his Sub-Commander Faora was missing. He cast a questioning look at his subordinates, who immediately reported:
"General, two highly powerful warriors suddenly appeared on Earth and captured the Sub-Commander alive."
General Zod fell silent. The sudden appearance of Earth warriors capable of defeating a Kryptonian surprised him slightly, but only slightly.
Faora and the others had only been exposed to the yellow sun for a few hours. Their power was nowhere near its absolute peak. Defeating Faora in her current state meant very little.
General Zod issued his absolute command: "We shall bathe in the yellow sun for a few days. After that, we invade Earth!"
A few days later, the Kryptonian mothership separated. One segment rocketed toward the Indian Ocean, while the main vessel descended upon Metropolis.
Following General Zod's command, the World Engine activated!
This apocalyptic event immediately caught Su Mu's attention at the seaside villa. He turned his gaze toward Metropolis and grinned. The Kryptonians certainly didn't disappoint. A massive new energy source has appeared! Seeing the demonic smile stretch across the Earthling's face, Faora grew even more terrified, silently praying for General Zod's safety.
The US military had also detected the World Engine and quickly formulated a strike plan with the newly arrived Superman.
The Kryptonian turncoat, Clark, would fly out to the Indian Ocean to destroy the terraforming machine there. Meanwhile, the US military would pilot the spacecraft that brought Clark to Earth, crashing it into Zod's mothership over Metropolis to trigger a phantom drive singularity, sucking all the Kryptonians into the Phantom Zone.
Thus, the turncoat rocketed straight toward the Indian Ocean, battling the World Engine's automated defenses. Even at the risk of being tangled and crushed by the liquid-metal tentacles, he was determined to obliterate Krypton's last hope for rebirth.
To protect humanity, Clark relentlessly fought off the mechanical tentacles. After a brutal, agonizing struggle, he finally tore free and plunged directly beneath the World Engine's gravity beam.
The localized environment beneath the World Engine had already been terraformed to match Krypton's atmosphere and gravity. Superman's powers were significantly suppressed here. Yet, despite the agonizing weakness, he gathered every ounce of his remaining strength and flew upward, desperate to destroy the machine.
Fighting against the apocalyptic terraforming beam, Clark finally pushed through!
Seeing victory within reach, a look of profound excitement washed over Clark's face. Earth is finally saved!
But just as Clark was about to violently smash into the engine core, a figure abruptly materialized right in front of him. Completely ignoring the apocalyptic terraforming beam and the crushing Kryptonian gravity, the figure stood calmly in the void.
Facing the hyper-sonic charge of Superman, the figure looked at him with profound, indifferent eyes—deep and calm as a waveless ocean—and slowly extended a single index finger.
In the next microsecond, Clark's devastating punch collided directly with that seemingly fragile finger...
Clark fully expected to completely obliterate the figure blocking his path. But to his absolute, reality-shattering disbelief, his impossibly strong body was brought to a dead, violent halt against a single finger! Then, an apocalyptic repulsive force violently erupted from the fingertip, slamming into him and launching him backward at dozens of times the speed of sound!
BOOM!
A deafening sonic boom echoed for dozens of kilometers. Clark violently skipped across the surface of the ocean, the terrifying kinetic force completely paralyzing his ability to resist.
He skipped across the water for over a dozen kilometers before finally coming to a halt. It was only then that he clearly saw the appearance of the figure who had swatted him away. It was the Dark Knight who had helped him days ago—Batman!
"Why?!"
Clark demanded furiously. Batman was human! He had actively helped him before! Why was he stepping in to stop him from destroying the World Engine?!
Indeed, the figure standing before Superman was Su Mu disguised as Batman. He had deliberately waited days without capturing any more Kryptonian batteries specifically for the World Engine's energy. Before he secured the Mother Boxes, this was a rare, premium all-you-can-eat energy buffet. How could he possibly let Superman destroy it?
Faced with Superman's furious questioning, Su Mu offered a warm, polite smile:
"You can't destroy the World Engine. It's quite useful to me."
But Superman completely ignored Su Mu's pleasant tone, roaring in absolute anger:
"I don't care what you want to use it for! It has to be destroyed right now! People are actively dying every single second this machine runs!"
Su Mu let out a lazy laugh and waved his hand dismissively.
"Relax. I'll stop it from killing anyone."
As long as Su Mu used Energy Absorption to continuously drain the World Engine's output, it wouldn't have enough power to continue terraforming the Earth. But Superman clearly didn't trust Su Mu's words anymore. "No! I have to destroy it with my own hands!"
Being repeatedly rejected, Su Mu's patience began to wear thin. If the Superman standing in front of him was Silver Age Superman or Superman Prime One Million, he would have instantly apologized and backed off.
But you're just the DCEU cinematic version. What's so great about you? I gave you an inch, and you want a mile?
Seeing Superman fiercely charge at him again, Su Mu grinned maliciously. Vector Manipulation seized control of the surrounding kinetic vectors, while a terrifying red-and-white singularity formed over his fist, radiating absolute spatial divergence. Simultaneously, Energy Absorption pushed his physical enhancement to its absolute limit.
In an instant, the two clashed! The sickening sound of shattering bones echoed like a crack of thunder!
"AGH!"
Under Clark's absolute, agonizing disbelief, the bones in his arm were instantly and violently shattered into fragments by the apocalyptic impact!
His body was instantly launched backward at hundreds of times the speed of sound, violently crashing into the ocean. A massive, hundreds-of-meters-high tidal wave erupted from his impact point as his body was completely swallowed by the sea.
Su Mu wasn't surprised by this result in the slightest. Under the Kryptonian atmospheric suppression of the World Engine, Superman's baseline stats were already heavily nerfed. Add in the fact that Su Mu possessed Vector Manipulation—the absolute conceptual counter to physical brawlers like Superman—sending him flying with a single shattered arm was child's play.
Completely ignoring Clark, who hadn't surfaced from the ocean, Su Mu turned his gaze up toward the towering World Engine.
The machine was continuously radiating violent light and heat. Su Mu fully activated Energy Absorption. An apocalyptic volume of cosmic terraforming energy violently twisted around his body before pouring directly into his cursed pathways.
The System notifications chimed continuously:
\[System Notification: Energy Point +1\]
\[System Notification: Energy Point +1\]
\[System Notification: Energy Point +1\]
...
The apocalyptic energy capable of terraforming a planet visibly began to dim. In just a few short minutes, the World Engine's immense energy reserves were completely devoured by Su Mu!
By the time he finished, his Template Synchronization had skyrocketed to 57%!
Activating the Limitless, Su Mu tore open the dimensional fabric of his invisible pocket dimension and forcefully shoved the massive World Engine inside.
The already cramped pocket dimension was instantly packed to the brim by the colossal terraforming machine.
Having resolved everything flawlessly, Su Mu flashed a wicked smirk and called out toward the ocean, where Clark's wounds had already fully regenerated beneath the waves:
"You better hurry, Boy Scout! Or that pretty girl named Lois Lane is going to get herself killed!"
With those words, he opened a sparking golden portal and stepped through, teleporting directly back to Metropolis.
