And just as she had expected, Rosalie stood up on her feet from her seated position on the couch almost instantly, her eyes narrowing and the amber glow similarly fading from her eyes almost instantly, her hands clenching into fists as she stared towards Alice, with what could only be called rage, this wasn't simple anger, it was something more. It was a mirriad of emotions and reasons that caused a complete and utter distaste to the mere idea of Alan living anywhere near close.
"No, you know that we cannot allow that. We can help him with money or help him find another apartment but he is not sleeping here." Rosalie said, her voice was cold as ice and sharp as a blade, offering just as little compromise as Alice's own voice had offered.
And yet, despite clearly looking at eachother like they wanted to rip eachothers throats apart, neither of the two women moved even an inch.
The silence descending around the living room of the mansion.
'They're not moving because I'm here. They still have some rationality to them it seems even if they are… quite…. Emotional about this. What I truly don't understand is why Alice is willing to go this far for me. To even fight with her family on this point so hard… just why would she do this for a 'human' kid that she just met less than a month ago.' Alan thought to himself, the question itself had been doing its rounds around his mind for a while now, and it almost came back every time that he had any interaction with the small pixie like woman, it was completely confusing to him and it didn't have any sort of explanation that he could find.
It was at that moment that Alice turned towards Alan, her gaze still that black abyss like stare that offered no compromise and when she spoke, her voice wasn't gentle, it wasn't asking or requesting him, it was an order.
"Alan, head up those stairs on the left, the last door on the left hall when you reach the top. Go inside, I'll deal with this and be there in a few minutes." Alice said, her voice commanding and colder than Alan had ever heard it atleast when she had been talking towards him.
Alan looked towards her as his eyes widened slightly and then his eyes moved towards the rest of the Cullen's, the entire situation was awkward, what was he supposed to do? Listen to Alice and ignore the rest of the Cullens, especially Carlisle Cullen and head up the stairs in a house that wasn't even his? Just how much control did Alice even have in this place, there were a lot of questions and thus he couldn't even move as he just stood there in silence.
"You can go Alan, we can talk together later and I'm sure Esme can make you some food aswell, we just have to talk a bit with Alice and Rosalie, I'm sorry that you had to see this." Carlisle finally spoke once more as he turned his gaze back from the two vampire woman that looked ready to kill eachother and back onto Alan once more, his eyes just as soft as before and the amber colour only making them appear even warmer than they would have.
Alan didn't hesitate even for a moment, he really didn't want to be in the situation that he was currently in and thus without a moment to waste, he turned towards the left and headed up the stairs as quietly and as swiftly as he could. His figure vanishing up the stairs and onto the second floor in mere seconds.
Arriving at the second floor of the Cullen Mansion, Alan looked around, his gaze catching on the dozen or so paintings and pictures lined up on the halls.
There were three hallways around him, one that went directly from the front of the stairs, another that went to the right and another that went to the left.
Remembering Alice's command, Alan turned towards the left and started walking down the hall, his eyes focused onto the pictures and paintings.
Most of the paintings were either still nature or abstract arts of sorts and thus he didn't truly pay them any real mind and instead his eyes were caught onto the pictures. There were less pictures than there were paintings however most of them were in black and white, and only showed the Cullen family. To someone from the outside it may have appeared… like they were just pictures of the ancestors of the family, perhaps the grandparents and the great grandparents and some of the more distant family, however Alan knew better.
The quality of the pictures themselves wasn't great and some of them were quite blurry however if one knew what the Cullens truly were, they would realise it instantly.
The people in the black and white pictures were none other than the present Cullens themselves. In some of the older pictures, only photos of Carlisle, Edward and Esme showed, whilst a bit later, Rosalie, Emmet and Alice started getting shown and finally on some of the newest ones, Jasper Hale had also started showing up.
'So… I'm guessing thats the order in how they joined the coven thing?' Alan thought to himself and before he realised it, he had to stop, he had arrived at the last door on the hallway, his destination.
