Seated around the white leather couches in the living room of the mansion were the rest of the Cullen Coven.
Esme walked towards them and then swiftly stopped as soon as she reached Carlisle Cullen who was seated on the right side of the living room.
Opposite to the two of them were Rosalie Hale, Jasper Hale and Emmet Cullen whilst Edward was seated on a single person couch next to the three seater where they were.
Alan took a gulp as his hands tightened for a moment, his heartrate increasing just barely for a brief second before it returned back to normal and then he gathered his breath before slowly raising his hand in a small wave.
"Hi there, I uh, It's a pleasure to meet you all more formally? Though I uh have seen most of you in school before, sorry for the interruption." Alan said softly almost awkwardly as he tried to maintain as steady of a tone as he could, something that wasn't qutie so easy especially when he considered the fact that he was currently standing infront of an entire coven of vampires, even if they hadn't ever done anything against him, it wasn't exactly the ideal situation that he wanted to be in.
Alice who had remained by his side, merely two feet away from him gave a nod towards the rest of the Cullens and it was at that moment that Carlisle Cullen slowly stood up.
His expression changing to a soft welcoming warm smile as he walked towards Alan and lifted his arm, offering his hand for a handshake towards him.
Alan hesitated merely for a fraction of a moment before he moved his own arm and grabbed his hand, shaking it as firmly as he could.
"Carlisle Cullen, Alice has talked quite a bit about you Alan, It's a pleasure to finally meet you aswell, someone that my daughter's been talking about so much." Carlisle spoke, similarly to his expression, his voice was calming and almost soft, it wasn't light, it was a deeper voice than Alan had expected to come out of the man however it was still undoubtably meant to calm him instead of anything else.
"She did? I hope she didn't say anything embarrassing." Alan replied as he released a soft chuckle, though it almost sounded forced especially in this enviorment where the rest of the Cullens hadn't even bothered to stand up.
It was at that moment as the silence started extending however that Emmet Cullen and Jasper Hale stood up aswell and walked closer, Emmet's expression had changed from what could be called a poker face of sorts into what was a wide toothy grin whilst Jasper's own expression hadn't changed much, merely becoming slightly softer, and perhaps less forced than the poker face that he had on his face when Alan had first walked into the room.
"Alan huh? Alice really wouldn't shut up about you. Talking all about Alan did this or Alan said that, it was quite annoying yknow? But yeah man, nice too meet you too." Emmet said in a friendly voice though it was a voice that was unnecessarily too loud for the almost eerily quiet mansion living room that they were currently in.
He lifted his hand and slapped Alans right shoulder with enough force that it shook his entire body yet didn't cause any real harm to him, it was clear that it was just a shoulder pat and nothing more, the fact that his entire body was shaken was simply because of how Emmet was.
Jasper meanwhile who had remained silent for a moment extended his hand for a handshake towards Alan who swiftly took his hand aswell and shook it.
"Yes, It's nice to see you aswell Alan, I did see you sometimes around the highschool." Jasper muttered in a low voice that clearly held a southern accent to it that was unmistakable.
Alan gave a nod towards both of them as a small awkward smile appeared on his face.
"Right, well uh It's not like I was actually planning to show up here tonight but well, something kind of happened and Alice thought that the best option possible was draggin me here. I'd appreciate it if she helped me explain instead of just standing there grinning at my awkwardness however." Alan said as he first talked towards Carlisle, Emmet and Jasper before he turned his head towards Alice as he spoke his last words, his annoyance clearly showing through slightly at the end as his left eyebrow slightly twitched and his eyes narrowed almost imperceptibly.
Alice raised her hands in what could only be called a motion of defeat however her expression showed that she clearly wasn't sorry at all and was infact enjoying, quite a lot, just exactly how awkwardly Alan was standing there infront of her family.
That however lasted only for a brief moment as the rest of his words registered and the moment shattered, the memory of his apartment and the reason as to why he was actually here came up again.
Alice turned her gaze towards the entire Cullen Coven, her amber coloured eyes quickly starting to dim as the amber glow swiftly retreated back and was replaced by those frightening dark eyes that seemed to stare directly into the soul of whoever peered into them.
"His apartment was destroyed, entire room, his clothes, everything, someone came inside and destroyed everything, He doesn't really have a place anymore and I thought that I could bring him here to live whilst he gets that fixed." Alice said as her eyes narrowed slightly further, her gaze was fixed onto Rosalie and Edward specifically, the two of them were the ones that she was expecting to have the most disagreements about her decision, however this wasn't something that she was willing to back out of.

Here's the chapter of the day, I hope ya'll liked it, these chapters are kinda just the start of the new volume so really it's all just setup.
I know quite a bit of people think its super slow paced but that's just my writting style, so yeah will stay that way.
