Chapter 34: Matt and Ace
Zein's Point of View....
The contest ended in total chaos; I mean, I couldn't follow everything that happened. Supremo ruined everything I had arranged.
I was just surprised that he was my partner and Matt was with Fritzy.
"Why are you here?! Where is Matt?!"
I asked confusedly while looking at Supremo who was fixing his necktie on his black tuxedo.
He glanced at me in the mirror with a frown so I couldn't help but feel uncomfortable, especially since the scandal he created earlier was still fresh in my mind.
"I swapped our partners; you and Matt aren't a match." He answered innocently before returning his attention to fixing his hair.
Damn! Rule manipulator!
"Why?" He then asked. "You want him?" He added.
I didn't know what he meant so I couldn't answer.
"You want to see his body?!"
son of a bitch.
Just looking at you is enough to keep me from sleeping. UGH!
"Pervert!" He hissed at me and my jaw almost dropped.
I'm the pervert? He was the one who suddenly ripped his t-shirt and went in front of me and said all sorts of things, and now I'm the pervert?!
"I'd prefer him as my partner over you."
"I admit it, you are good with him." I froze at what he said and didn't realize he had moved closer to me.
I am in a long black gown. He held my waist and pulled me close to him. I swallowed as I looked at his frowning brows and slightly parted lips. Damn! He looked so innocent!
"But, you are best with me." He whispered.
I just shook my head when I remembered the things that happened earlier and at the same time laughed. I remembered again how Supremo introduced himself.
"You know my name, what's the purpose of this?"
He innocently complained to the organizer when he was already in front, holding the microphone.
The organizer had said we should introduce ourselves, which everyone did except for the last contestant who was still arguing.
"J-Just your name, Supremo." The organizer said while stuttering, clearly intimidated by Supremo's stare.
Supremo faced the crowds who were craving what he was about to say. Some had their mouths open and couldn't believe that the nerdy supremo had transformed into a burning hot guy that could melt you just by staring. UGH!
"Ms. Shion!" My mouth dropped when Supremo called me so even though I was hesitant, I went to the front.
What is it again, Supremo?!
"You are my secretary, introduce my name."
I swallowed when he gave me the microphone.
"Ace Craige, 18 years old. The Supreme Student Government President."
I couldn't help but blush again as I recalled the humiliation Supremo put me through. It's a contest, but he still managed to assert his authority as Supremo.
"Ms Face of the Year goes to..... Fritzy Saldivar."
I just closed my eyes as Supremo complained again

"What?! That's a fucking mistake! Miss Shion should be the one to win! She is so fucking damn gorgeous compared to anyone, damn it!"
"Don't worry Supremo, you are Mr. Face of the Year-"
Waah! Supremo, fuck you! 100 times!
"Nah. I am not interested."
He walked out and kicked the trophy, causing it to break.
I observed the bonfire they made here in the wide space. The fire was very high and all of us students were surrounding it.
The weather is cold but the warm fire is covering us.
The day was also proclaimed a free bloody night where killing is illegal. I was surprised when Supremo said my suggestion was approved; I mean, I really expected him not to approve it, but here it is now.
"Follow me, Miss Shion."
Fear enveloped me when I realized Supremo was already behind me. Trembling, I hugged my friends.
Damn, death is waiting.
"We are coming with you!" Vanessa complained, so I just shook my head.
No. You stay here.
I was behind Supremo while he walked ahead. My steps were heavy and it seemed like the longer it took, the harder it became.
I smiled when I realized where Supremo and I were. Behind the clinic where he said we would meet.
He faced me still serious. "I have thought about this for a long time... Do you want to be saved?" He asked.
I couldn't answer due to nervousness
"You are willing to save others that you almost knelt down on me just to save them... do it, if you want to be saved."
"No. Don't save me. You'll just risk your position." Something seemed to block my throat after saying that.
"I would risk anything-Crap it. The only way for you to be saved- I will take you out of this hell." He said.
My stare remained serious on him. Why is it like that? I should be glad that I could get out of this hell but there's something in me that wants to stay.
"I will take you out of Hell University."
"No. I don't want to." I answered bitterly which made his eyebrows and forehead frown.
If I die, I'd rather die inside this hell. It's annoying to admit that I've grown to love this hell. This place is a witness to everything I've been through; I admit that I'm no longer the Zein Shion they once knew, this place changed me. I love hell, to be with demons.
"It's almost time, Zein. I don't want you involved."
"Whatever you're talking about, I've long been involved, I won't run away...."
I didn't understand anything Supremo was saying, I just know I will die in this hell, I will die not just with my friends but with everyone who became part of my life in this place.
I will die fighting.
I heard his soft laugh. Happiness was evident in his eyes that sparkled. Supremo is laughing for real.
"I like it... I like how brave you are for a girl... I like how you look into my eyes without being intimidated... I like how you bend everything I work for the rest of my life... I like how you react nothing when in fact everything is the matter between life and death... I like it."
"I hate it... I hate how you stand in front of me like you are the most tremendous person out there... I hate how you gave an order in an instance... I hate it."
"I hate it... I hate how you manipulate everything... I..."
We laughed hard at the things we said. It seemed that in all the time my Supremo and I were together, this was the first time we understood each other because we were always at odds.
"Everything is worth it when it comes to you,"
He held my face which caused a very strong jolt of energy to flow throughout my system. With one touch from Supremo, it felt like I was about to explode.
"If you would just send me outside of hell, I'd rather die."
"You know I can't do that... I'll give you another choice.. Be with me... Be mine... Be my everything... I'll give you my world."
A tear I had been holding back slid down my face. Scary... terrifying... This is the first time I've felt this way... I know what this feeling means.
Damn! I really hate how everything is falling... falling for this guy
"What will happen if I choose to be with you?" I suddenly asked.
I had no idea what the consequences would be if I chose Supremo. I had no idea what the outcome of everything would be. I'm ignorant about this.
"What will happen is doesn't matter... I told you... You are my everything... Nothing will be lost for me because you already have everything. Trust me."
When we returned, everything was in chaos. I panicked too and went to where everyone was in a frenzy.
I sat on the ground with my hand covering my mouth when I saw who was sitting on the chair, lifeless and tongue out where the BBG mark could be seen.
"Zein, why are you only here now?!" Mia suddenly appeared at my side.
I couldn't answer and kept my gaze on Celine who was lifeless, angry... I was burning with anger.
"Zein, are you ok?"
Matt was shocked when I stared him in the eye, a piercing gaze. I saw the confusion in his eyes.
"Zein, why are you looking at Matt like that?!" Dave shouted behind me.
I gripped Matt's arm tightly. His mouth parted slightly at what I did.
I pulled him away from there and took him to a deserted place. His mouth remained shut while I felt like exploding with anger.
"What do you have to do with Celine's death?" I asked directly.
I saw no reaction from Matt, not even shock.
"I didn't do anyt-"
"Liar." I calmly cut him off. "I trusted you. Of all people, you were the kindest in my sight but you deceived me." I added.
I saw Matt's bitter smile and the pain in his eyes that were already red.
"I didn't deceive you, I never turned my back on you."
"Then, why?! Why do you have to join the Black Blood Gang?!"
I saw the shock in his eyes.
Damn!
"Everything has a reason."
"Reason? You joined a gang so you could have an ally to save you? So you wouldn't die like that?"
His mouth parted slightly, clearly surprised by what I said and I felt like cursing myself. I was losing control of myself again.
I couldn't stop my mouth, I wanted to take back everything I said but I felt powerless when I saw the tear slide down Matt's eye.
Damn! It hurts to see Matt crying, and because of me. I've never seen him cry, this is the first time and I'm the reason.
What kind of friend am I?!
"M-Matt-
"You're right, I joined the gang to be saved but not me. I joined evil to protect the most important person to me."
I just sat on the ground after hearing everything.
"I don't regret everything I did, nor can I blame you if that's what you think is the reason I joined. Remember, I never can or will turn my back on my friends... even if we die, I still won't."
"Zein!"
Matt suddenly hugged me so I couldn't help but look at him. He was smiling at me but there was something different.
"I-Is something wrong, Matt?" I asked.
He shook his head before smiling again. "Close your eyes, please."
I don't know why but I just closed my eyes as he let go of the hug.
I felt many people around. I could hear their every move and the falling of others one by one.
What's happening?
"Ahh!" I heard Matt scream as if he was in pain.
"Matt! What's happening to you?!"
I was blind to what was happening for a few minutes but I knew Matt was still fighting. I felt the tears fall from my eyes again.
Matt, sorry.
"N-Nothing! Just close your eyes!"
After a while, the surroundings quieted down so I opened my eyes. Matt greeted me, walking weakly towards me while holding his bleeding arm.
I couldn't help but feel down about what happened to him. I stood up when I saw Matt fall to the ground.
"Matt!"
Someone's Point of View.....
I lit the cigarette I was holding before taking a drag from it and exhaling into the air.
The end is near.
"Leader, We have already done what you ordered."
I just nodded at one of my men before he left the room.
I watched the outside where everyone was in chaos

"What you worked hard for will be mine. You can't stop me, even you Supremo. You can't handle me. I have your secret, I know what you are hiding. You can't deceive me. Raze huh?"
I stepped on the cigarette I was holding when I saw who was now being carried by the unconscious men, followed by a dazed woman.
"Zein Shion, thanks to you, everything will be easier. You are the reason for everything.... You are the weakness of the demons."
I turned my back and closed the window.
"The end is so near..."
