Mai Mingle could have sworn that the moment the Ballet Resident finished speaking, even Chaisi froze.
The large hand she had pinned against the seat cushion, just like Jin Xueli, briefly stopped struggling. The only difference was that Jin Xueli had a mouth, and she never forgot to use it.
"You have fingerprints?"
She poked her head out from under the shadow of Chaisi's frame, looking like a donkey carrying a mountain on its back.
Jin Xueli, her forehead glistening with anxious sweat, yelled at the Ballet Resident, "Just pull it out! I'll wipe your fingerprints off afterward, won't that be enough?"
"Oh, dear. That's not something you can just wipe away."
The Ballet Resident chuckled. "I could press a fingerprint onto your eyeball and let you see for yourself. Just don't you go regretting it, okay?"
"Oh, so *now* you're feeling cooperative?"
