The sun-set as the morning came but the atmosphere did not.
"Whisper…"
"…Again?"
"…Why is it her?"
The question was no longer hidden, it moved more freely now.
Lunivara sat quietly at her desk, her posture unchanged.
But she heard it, every word.
["I guess it wasn't dismissed"]
Her fingers rested lightly against the surface.
["That's good right?"]
Uncertainty meant it's still moving.
Across the room—
"There are others who could do it…"
"…Exactly. Why her?"
"…Maybe the professor trusts her?"
"That doesn't make sense."
Lunivara lowered her gaze slightly.
....
"Lunivara Morcant."
The professor's voice cut through the noise again.
The room stilled, not out of respect—but attention.
"…Yes, professor?"
He approached, placing another stack of documents on her desk.
"This requires delivery."
A brief pause.
Then—
"To the sword club."
Silence followed.
This time, heavier.
"Yes professor"
She stood without hesitation, but as she turned—she felt eyes lingering looking toward her.
["They're watching..."]
The hallway felt quieter.
Or perhaps—her awareness had sharpened.
["Haaa~...again?"]
That was no longer coincidence, but she did not question it.
She reached the sword club, the door was not locked.
Inside—
The room remained as it was, weapons aligned along the walls, training gear neatly stored.
And at the center—stacks of paper was filling the table.
The same boy looked up.
"Finall—..You again." He almost blurted.
"Yes."
She stepped forward, placing the documents neatly.
He exhaled, rubbing the back of his neck.
"…I was going to get those later."
A pause.
Then—
"…Can you help again?"
This time, there was no disbelief, only expectation.
Lunivara glanced at the scattered papers. Then back at him.
"I can..but" she said with hesitation.
But the boy is clearly begging for help with the look on he's eyes.
"Pleaseeee"
She slightly smile, not enough to make the boy notice.
"Yes, I'll help" she said after letting out a sigh.
She moved immediately.Sorted the papers and her work always look seamlessly inspiring.
"…You are truly fast," the boy murmured.
"—You work efficiently...no! seamlesly" the boy added with an exciting look.
"T..thank you..but it's nothing actually.." Lunivara's hand paused briefly. Then she continued. She felt someone was looking at her and slightly turn to the direction and saw.
Leontius.
This time—he was awake and was just watching her at the side.Lunivara and Leontius look at each other's eyes, when lunivara realize the eye contact seem to have been longer she looked away.
["He was here?"]
She continued working with the papers, like she has not seen him.
Leontius stepped closer and the boy notice.
"Oh..Leo-Captain!, you were there from the start?" Asking as if he didn't know.
"Your skill is exceptional, it's not nothing" Leontius said.
"Ignoring me?"The boy added
Leontius give the boy a cold stare and the boy immediately lower he's head.
"If that's what you see..Thank you" Lunivara replied, but inside her thoughts she's a bit nervous["Did I did well?...I'd better get things right..I don't want to end up like the story...**scared**"]
Leontius didn't respond and just look at the paper of lunivaras work, analyzing.
On the other hand,["why am I nervous?..when he was asleep I wasn't,but now he's awake I am?....Is it because he's analyzing my work?..or was it because she killed me when I got against him"] she looked down as the last thought pass her mind.
In original story on Leontius path, leontius killed lunivara because she became outrageous of things she do, almost killing the heroine.
"…I told you, captain," he said, breaking the silent moment, "she finished everything yesterday just as fast."
Leontius finally looked away and said
"…If you are already assisting," he continued, "it would be inefficient to limit it to delivery."
The boy blinked.
"…Captain?"
"Propose it formally." Leontius said.
"…You mean—"
"She is welcome to the club." Leontius added.
A brief pause.
"Temporarily...if she want," Leontius continued.
The boy nodded quickly.
"…Right—yes, that makes sense."
Lunivara stilled slightly.
["I'm welcome?"] She felt a bit hope upon hearing it.
A pause.
"…If permitted, I have no objection for her being an assistant"
["Assistant.."] By the hearing the word it gives her hopes even higher.
For a moment lunivara hesitated, but then—
"Yes, I'd like to an assistant here....even if it's just temporary"
Leontius look at the boy, signaling to prepare the temporary paper so that professors may know of her club and may be excused in classes,if help is needed.
"it will be arranged." Leontius said
After that, Leontius got to he's desk, across the table from where lunivara was facing.
The boy had finally gathered a temporary paper, since it was temporary it was not that good, just a piece of paper and written that she's temporarily part of the club and a signature sign at the left at the end of the paragraph.
"Here"The boy said."You can sign it here and I'm sorry for the e late introduction..I'm Jude Adrian I do most of the work here and I'm also a foreign, I live at where the captain live.
"So your the official assistant here" Lunivara signing.
"Yes..I am, but take heart, what the captain means was a paper assistant"
"I'm fine with that"
"I apologize the captain just isn't direct" he whispers.
"Ah" Lunivara look at leontius, while signing some papers from he's desk.
Lunivara has now became part of the sword club. But she was happy about rather than complain about it. They continued doing all the papers..Meanwhile...
Outside—
the academy continued as usual.
Students in class
Voices echoing
Rumors spreading
But inside—something had shifted and somewhere within that quiet shift, attention had begun to settle deliberately.
