His cold eyes swept across Rhomann's body, and a dangerous aura spread out, shocking Rhomann so much that he did not dare move.
Renzo stepped forward and kicked the man over, then reached out and slipped his hand into the man's coat.
Boom! Boom!
Rhomann struggled, pulled a weapon from his waist, and fired it at Renzo's face.
"It's just a little toy..."
Renzo's face was cold. He ignored Rhomann's attack and lifted him straight up with one arm.
"Huh?" Renzo's face darkened. In his hand was a device exactly like the one in the room. He knew he had been tricked. This old fox... Someone who could become a centurion really did have a good brain.
"Where's the Power Stone?" Renzo casually threw Rhomann to the ground, stepped on his chest, and gradually began to exert force.
"Do you think I'd be stupid enough to carry it with me?" Rhomann's expression twisted, as if he were in great pain, and his right leg bent at an unnatural angle.
"I was only going to borrow it and return it to you in a few years..." Renzo was truly helpless. He had come here with a peaceful and friendly attitude, but he had not expected to be treated like this.
"Ah..."
Renzo was too lazy to talk nonsense with him. Since the Power Stone was not on him, then Xandar could not blame him for turning hostile first.
A golden laser streaked across the sky, cutting through the spaceships that were speeding toward the two of them. The roaring explosions drowned out the sound of the thrusters, like expensive fireworks detonating in the air. Sparks and debris burst outward, as if it were a grand fireworks show.
Rhomann's eyes filled with tears. Every spaceship carried soldiers of the Nova Corps, students he had trained little by little—Feitos, Aiman, Rona...
Seeing the young children fall one after another with his own eyes, Rhomann could not withstand the immense shock. With a roar, he stood up unsteadily.
Renzo flew up directly, frowning as he looked at the hazy sky, where something seemed to be looming.
"That wasn't me. I only blew up their thrusters..." Renzo shouted at Rhomann, trying to make him calm down, but his eyes remained fixed on the behemoth in the sky.
But time waited for no one...
A dark and enormous spaceship was suspended above Xandar. Its massive shadow almost covered the entire Nova Corps, and a heavy, oppressive aura of despair appeared on every soldier's face.
"How could..."
A soldier raised his head tremblingly and looked at the spaceship, which was as large as a football field. How could a planet-class battleship appear in the sky above Xandar?
He dropped the weapon in his hands in despair. Two years ago, dealing with the Nova Corps would have taken a lot of effort. Now they were as weak as a skinny sheep. Thick wool clung to the surface, but if it were peeled away, the emaciated body beneath could be seen.
With trembling hands, Irani crawled out from beneath the fallen spacecraft, her face covered in dust. Her worries had indeed come true.
"The Black Order... how could it be them..." Rhomann collapsed behind Renzo. His widened pupils and twitching expression showed that his mood was far from calm. It could even be described as turbulent.
"Thanos..." Renzo narrowed his eyes. There was no doubt that the owner of this battleship was one of the undisputed overlords of the universe, the Titan Thanos. "Why did he come here? The massacre of Xandar should still be a few months away."
Renzo wanted to run away, not because he was afraid, but because it was not time yet.
Suddenly, a transparent beam of light shone down from the bottom of the spacecraft, and a woman wearing a white cloak appeared before everyone.
"This is..."
The woman walked slowly and elegantly, and her high-heeled boots made crisp sounds as they stepped on the ground. Her blue face made people feel a little strange. Her dark pupils swept indifferently over them, and the soldier at the very front suddenly went limp and fell to the ground with a thud.
"Lord Thanos will give your pitiful and pathetic lives a perfect ending."
"But the premise is... if you offer up your Infinity Stone, I can consider saying a few nice words for you in front of Lord Thanos."
The woman walked briskly, and wherever she passed, the soldiers collapsed before her. They lay on the ground with blank eyes, as if they were dead—perhaps even more uncomfortable than death.
"Supergiant? Why did Supergiant come to Xandar?" Renzo landed on the high bridge and looked down at the blue-skinned woman. This fifth Obsidian general, who had not existed in the movies, was now standing alive in front of him.
"Huh?" Supergiant looked around suspiciously. She felt that someone's gaze was constantly locked onto her.
As a general under Thanos, Supergiant naturally had deep affection for Thanos. Not long ago, a mysterious communication had connected directly to Thanos's spaceship.
"Damn it! Can't you find the source of the signal?"
Supergiant looked irritably at the men operating the console and yelled loudly.
The strange signal before them had actually broken through layer after layer of the Black Order's protective network and been sent directly into the internal area. It had ignored all their defensive measures as if they were made of paper, dragging their faces to the ground and trampling on them hard.
"Sir... sir, look!"
The person at the control console suddenly pointed at the screen in front of him in shock. Supergiant leaned over to take a look, and her pupils narrowed.
The location of an Infinity Stone was written on it, and the exact coordinates had even been given!
At first, Supergiant looked at the message in shock. Lord Thanos had been searching for the Infinity Stones across the vast universe for a thousand years, but he had never been able to find any traces of them. It was not until a few years ago that he had discovered traces of two Infinity Stones, but they had been lost by an idiotic Asgardian.
Supergiant wanted to tear that Asgardian into pieces.
After a while, Supergiant calmed down. She could not tell her lord whether this information was accurate. If it was a trap... she would definitely be ridiculed by that fellow Ebony Maw.
Every time she thought of the faces of the other four Obsidian generals, especially that shriveled, skinny monkey who only knew how to flatter, who had joined the Black Order earlier than her and was always disliked by Supergiant, ostracizing her in all kinds of subtle ways...
Then there was a big, brainless guy with rough skin and thick flesh who could do nothing but eat!
There were also two useless guys she did not want to mention at all.
"Go to these coordinates!"
Supergiant made up her mind, resentment and ridicule flashing in her eyes. If she obtained the first Infinity Stone for her lord, then the leader of the five Obsidian generals would have to be her!
...
Supergiant casually stabbed a soldier to death, picked up the weapon in his hand, played with it, and then threw it aside in disgust. "Backward technology."
Supergiant was now beginning to doubt whether the Infinity Stone would really be on this weak planet.
Suddenly,
Supergiant suddenly raised her head, and a surge of spiritual power rushed toward Renzo in a violent and chaotic manner, like a flooded river.
"Damn it!" Renzo had not expected that he had only wanted to use the Mind Stone to try to invade Supergiant's brain, but as soon as he approached her, he was instantly sensed.
Renzo hurriedly used the Mind Stone to defend himself so he would not immediately be turned into an idiot by the impact.
"It's true!" Supergiant saw the golden gem embedded in Renzo's forehead at a glance, and her eyes suddenly turned fierce. "Launch!"
She roared angrily, her black-and-blue face twisted with excitement. The giant spaceship suspended in the air shifted its muzzle, and blue energy gathered, ready to fire.
"Is she crazy? Is she planning to bomb Xandar?"
Renzo did not understand the thoughts of a madman, but he knew it was time to leave.
This was the first time he had seen this kind of Hollywood blockbuster scene outside of a movie. In the past, it had all been hand-to-hand combat. There had never been a spaceship blasting at him.
Renzo had just wanted to escape, but what happened to Xandar was beyond his control. He could only let them fend for themselves.
"Want to run?"
Supergiant had already appeared behind Renzo at some point. She did not stupidly use her mental power to control the man in front of her. His performance just now had shown that her ability was basically useless against him, but as one of the five Obsidian generals, Supergiant's skills were by no means ordinary.
Supergiant tried to strangle Renzo from behind, but he easily dodged by turning intangible. It had to be said that this ability was a bug. If he did not want to show himself, then no one could hit his body.
Perhaps magic could attack him directly, but Renzo had not experienced the true power of magic beyond being thrown out of the house by Wanda all day long.
Supergiant did not give up. Long-term battles and massacres had honed her excellent combat awareness. If one attack failed, she instantly changed her fighting style. She suddenly pushed off with her feet to create distance between herself and Renzo, and at the same time, a bomb was released and struck Renzo's body.
"So primitive..." Renzo dismissed things like bombs. They could not hurt him at all, and he prepared to step into the portal without looking back.
Boom!
There was a loud bang, and Supergiant was instantly thrown away by the aftermath of the explosion. The blast produced thick smoke and dust, covering half the bridge.
Surprisingly, the energy generated by the explosion distorted the surrounding space. The scene before him suddenly shattered into pieces like a broken mirror, with large and small fragments floating in the air.
"Ugh!"
The smoke gradually dissipated, only to reveal Renzo kneeling on the ground in pain. An unprecedentedly ferocious look appeared on his red face, as if he were suffering immense agony.
Looking carefully, cracks of various sizes had appeared across Renzo's body, with dark purple energy flowing back and forth through them like poisonous snakes crawling through gaps in stone.
"Dark matter bombs. People from a backward planet like you must have never seen one before." Supergiant twisted her graceful body and walked in front of Renzo at a leisurely pace. The explosion just now had directly caused Renzo's body to malfunction. His body was in a chaotic, berserk state, and he could not control it at all now.
The visual system, the language system, the behavioral system... everywhere was malfunctioning. The cracks on Renzo's body grew larger and larger, and more dark purple lines gradually spread across his entire body. His originally vibrant pupils were completely replaced by purple. He raised his head in pain, fell to his knees, and uncontrollably spread his arms to both sides.
Supergiant gently stroked Renzo's forehead, the golden gem reflected in her eyes.
"It's so beautiful!"
Her delicate little hands stroked the gem back and forth, and she closed her eyes in intoxication. The touch made her unable to help moaning in comfort.
She felt the majestic spiritual power contained in the Mind Stone, manic and peaceful. Two completely opposite sensations had actually appeared within the same gem. This strange and wonderful feeling made Supergiant comfortable.
She saw a sea, a golden sea, an endless golden sea.
She was shocked, because the entire sea was made of spiritual power, and it was boundless. She was like a small boat, sailing aimlessly across the sea, with waves rolling up from time to time and striking her body. There was an indescribable feeling of comfort.
For a warrior with spiritual abilities like her, this ocean was simply paradise. It was like fish in an aquarium finally returning to the sea, like birds escaping their cages and spreading their wings to fly through the boundless blue sky.
Supergiant sank into this beautiful ocean and refused to come out.
Boom!
"What!"
Supergiant covered the back of her head, turned around angrily, and stared viciously at the blue-skinned kid in front of her.
"Hi... hi! Has anyone ever told you that you look like an Olonni in heat?"
Cartel was trembling, holding a laser gun in his hand. The butt of the gun was still stained with blood, clearly freshly marked.
Cartel could not stand seeing his benefactor treated like this. Although they had only a weak relationship of mutual interest, and a friendship that could not even be considered ordinary friendship, still!
He still needed to rely on Renzo to leave Xandar. If Renzo died, he would definitely be finished too!
Supergiant grabbed Cartel's neck, and the terrifying force instantly turned the boy's face red, making it especially conspicuous against his blue skin.
"Am I going to die here... I'm so unwilling!"
The severe pain and suffocation made Cartel gradually fall into a coma. His gaze drifted unconsciously toward the dark sky, searching for two stars...
Just when Supergiant was about to finish Cartel off, she was forcefully knocked away by a shining figure and flew a full fifty meters away.
"Who! Who is it this time!"
Supergiant's battered body bounced across the ground. Hot blood slowly flowed down from her head, covering her sight. The clean white robe had also been scratched with long marks by gravel, and dust stained the white fabric. With a slight shake, the dust suddenly scattered.
Rhomann was limping and leaning against a collapsed pillar, his face covered in blood. When he saw the speeding figure, he could not help smiling. "You're so late! Richard!"
"Nova!"
Supergiant wiped the blood from her eyes and stared solemnly at the heroic body standing in midair. She had used all her strength to flip away from the previous blow, but someone who could produce such an attack effect was by no means ordinary.
Looking at the man in front of her, wearing a red cross-star helmet and a black-and-yellow battlesuit, Supergiant could not help retreating. This man was powerful enough to see with the naked eye, and the cosmic energy in his body could be clearly felt even from fifty meters away.
Richard Rider did not pay attention to Supergiant. Instead, he slowly walked to Rhomann Dey's side and helped him up. Seeing the excitement of his old superior, whose eyes were filled with tears, Richard could not help smiling.
"I'm back!"
