Chapter 41 - Chapter 41: A Method to Treat Lisa

Asa gradually understood everything.

So that was it. The parasite, by absorbing the T-Virus within Asa body, could cause the host to lose its aggression towards him.

Asa considered various uses, for instance, maintaining others' loyalty to him?

Upon detecting any act of betrayal, he could detonate the parasite within their body.

The use of the parasite was not without limitations; it required the absorption of the T-Virus to survive, which destined the host to be infected or in some other specific state.

Or perhaps?

Asa looked at the T-Hope reagent in his inventory. Could the antibodies produced within a human body serve as nutrients for the parasite's growth?

He didn't know; he would have to find someone to test it on.

Asa testing of the parasite was not yet fully complete, but time was running out; it was time to wrap things up.

From arriving at the Mansion in the morning to Ada Wong's departure, about five hours had passed.

Indeed, delving deep into the plot made life very exciting.

After dealing with the virus gifted by the treasure girl Lisa, it was time to find a way to save this poor girl.

But truthfully, Asa had no clue.

As a human test tube, the viruses within Lisa had reached a dynamic equilibrium.

The Progenitor Virus variant, the T-Virus prototype strain, the G-embryo, and the NE-alpha Parasite that allowed Lisa to recover some intelligence.

Removing any one of them prematurely would very likely disrupt the balance within Lisa, potentially leading to irreversible changes.

However, it was certainly very challenging.

Asa returned to the underground mine and saw Lisa's stumbling figure wandering in a branch tunnel.

Their meeting should have been nothing more than a fierce battle.

However, Lisa merely stared at Asa for a moment, then walked past him as if she hadn't seen anything, her hideous face beneath the skin hood still muttering incessantly.

"Mom... Mom..."

Perhaps because there were no women around Asa, Lisa was uninterested in men, and she continued to wander aimlessly.

What a poor child.

Asa turned his head, attempting to communicate.

"Lisa Trevor!"

Hearing this name, the monster that had been drifting away suddenly turned back, staring fixedly at Asa.

"You..."

Before she could finish, Asa shout startled and enraged Lisa. In her remaining memories, the only ones who called her that were those detestable humans who injected strange liquids into her body.

The hatred in her memory caused Lisa to immediately raise her hands, bound by iron blocks, and swing them with all her might toward Asa body the moment she turned.

It was a blow struck with hatred, and combined with the weight of the iron blocks, any human body facing such a powerful attack would likely have been turned into ground meat on the spot.

But Asa had just fused two types of viruses, and wanting to test his own strength, he didn't even bother to dodge, instead throwing a right hook to meet it.

The monster's fist and the inhuman fist collided, the sound of wind whistling as a circle of dust kicked up.

Asa, who had struck later but arrived first, stood motionless, while the monster Lisa, who had swung her hands, staggered back a few steps and sat down on the ground.

"Wow, that felt great!"

Asa let out a strange cry. This was the first time he had gone head-to-head with a bio-organic monster without using weapons. This punch not only sent Lisa flying, but his own metacarpals, wrist, and elbow bones had also fractured and shattered from the impact.

"Damn, that hurts."

Cool for less than a second, Asa crouched down in a cold sweat. His physique had improved, but his bone density was nowhere near the level required to withstand a direct hit against iron blocks without injury.

Asa hated pain, so he immediately severed the nerves in his arm. After resting in place for a few seconds, his hand returned to a pristine, undamaged state.

Seeing Lisa slowly climbing back up, Asa charged straight at her.

This time, he chose to use the heavy hammer form. Dense bone quickly generated on Asa fist until it formed a massive, solid bone structure thirty centimeters in size.

Unable to communicate with Lisa verbally, Asa had no choice but to open up a dialogue with his fists.

"Lisa, take my friendship punch!"

...

A moment later, Asa grabbed the iron chain on Lisa's foot and dragged her massive body into the elevator.

Bullying a child was satisfying; neither he nor Lisa knew any combat techniques, so it was all just visceral, flesh-to-flesh brawling.

By the end, Lisa was driven into a frenzy, and countless tentacles erupted from her body, looking quite intimidating.

Asa was not to be outdone, and countless hideous tentacles erupted from his body as well, tightly binding Lisa's entire body.

The rest of the battle went without saying; Asa won completely, whether in terms of strength, regeneration speed, or terrifying appearance.

Asa guessed that if Lisa were still capable of crying, she would have been crying in fear by now.

Dragging Lisa into an autopsy room in the underground laboratory, Asa tied her to a medical bed.

The ropes certainly couldn't hold Lisa, but if she struggled and broke them, Asa would make sure she experienced the persuasive power of his fists.

Whether it was because the psychological trauma Asa inflicted on Lisa was too great, or because the injuries caused were too severe, Lisa did not wake up for a long time afterward.

It worked out well, as it allowed Asa to check whether little Lisa's development was normal.

Overall, it was not good.

After the Progenitor Virus fusion, Lisa lost all her reason, memories, and emotions, but she also unexpectedly gained the ability to fuse other genetic fragments because of the Progenitor Virus.

This was the reason the T-Virus, the parasite, and the G-embryo could exist within her.

The NE-alpha Parasite had awakened a sliver of Lisa's consciousness. If Asa were to completely replace the mature parasite within her, Lisa might revert to being a monster without a shred of reason.

But it was also possible that after the parasite died, the perfectly fused Lisa might regain her reason.

For the sake of the favorability reward from Lisa, Asa was going all out.

If there was absolutely no other way, he could disguise himself as Jessica Trevor to deceive the innocent girl's emotions.

To restore Lisa to normal as quickly as possible, Asa returned to the Cyberpunk world again.

This time, he needed to cultivate stable forms of the various viruses within his body.

A few days later, Asa returned to the Arklay Laboratory carrying three test tubes of different colors.

Having injected three types of viruses in succession, the three viruses in Asa body did not fuse; instead, they remained distinct, each performing its own function.

Therefore, Asa was still able to extract them one by one.

"If I keep running back and forth between these two worlds, I might suffer from premature aging."

Asa sighed.

"Wait, no. After the fusion of the Progenitor Virus and the T-Virus, it's practically equivalent to eternal youth, so I don't need to worry at all."

Never mind then.

Didn't he see that Sherry Birkin was in her forties, but her face was as tender as a thirteen-year-old's?

"Let's try it, Lisa. I hope you can make it through."

Looking at Lisa, who was tied to the medical bed, Asa muttered to himself.
