Chapter 62 - Chapter 62 No!!!! Snow is fluttering, the north wind is howling.

William discovered a mysterious figure behind him.

"Hello, William."

Appearing before William was a mysterious blonde man wearing sunglasses.

"Wesker? Why are you here? Aren't you already..."

William exclaimed in surprise.

Standing before him was none other than Albert Wesker, his childhood friend and close companion, his comrade-in-arms in betraying Umbrella Corporation, who had disappeared without a trace after the explosion at the Arklay Laboratory.

"Naturally, it is for the G-Virus."

Wesker took off his sunglasses, revealing the rugged face William knew so well.

"No, aren't you already dead?"

"No, I have perfectly merged the Progenitor Virus with the T-Virus. I am more powerful now than I have ever been."

"What is your purpose in coming here?"

"Naturally, it is for the treasure in your hands. You know, William."

William was shocked. He hadn't expected the first thing his close friend would do upon resurrection was to seize his life's work!

"What? You want to covet the G-Virus? This is my life's work. Even if it is you... cough, cough!"

Before he could finish, William suffered a heavy blow to his abdomen.

Wesker, who had been three meters away just a moment ago, turned into a blur and instantly rushed in front of him, bringing a gust of wind with his figure.

Subsequently, Wesker delivered a light right uppercut, striking William directly in the abdomen and forcing him to his knees.

"I intended to reason with you, but I didn't expect you to be unreasonable. It really makes no sense."

William shook his head, his face full of disappointment.

"Wait! Do you remember? The T-Virus inside you was developed by me!"

Having suffered a heavy blow to his abdomen, it took William a long while to recover. He clutched his stomach with one hand and raised the other with difficulty, saying.

After speaking, a flash of inspiration struck William's mind.

"No, you are not Wesker!"

He struggled to stand up. William had spent a long time with Wesker and knew that Wesker's lifelong pursuit was to escape Umbrella Corporation's control, achieve freedom, and then lead all of humanity toward supreme evolution.

Now that Wesker possessed super strength, out of a desire to show off, he would definitely have explained it to him.

But the "Wesker" before him hadn't said a single word of nonsense; he was clearly here to steal things.

"Damn, you guessed that?"

The serious expression on the blonde man's face collapsed, then his complexion melted like wax, revealing his true appearance.

"What the fuck? Director Spencer?"

That's right, the newly revealed face was none other than one of the founders of Umbrella Corporation, and currently its sole director, Oswell E. Spencer!

"Who the hell are you!"

"I have no interest in revealing my identity to a dying man."

Asa shook his head. That's right, the person before him was indeed him, just looking for some fun.

As for the "dying man," it didn't mean he would kill William, but rather that the U.S.S. Alpha Team was already on its way to NEST 1, and their mission was to eliminate traitors!

William thought his plan was flawless, but who could have imagined there was an insider like Asa?

It was just writing a whistleblower letter, not posting big-character posters to let the whole city know; this was a piece of cake for Asa.

In short, Asa had informed Umbrella Corporation's directors of William's impending betrayal in advance. After entering the underground experimental base, he sent William's experimental progress to the senior directors, letting them know that William had been deceiving them about his progress and was preparing to run away with the data, which led them to urgently dispatch the U.S.S. Alpha Team for recovery.

Asa was also familiar with the team leader; it was the famous Hunk. Note, not the "Grim Reaper" Hunk, because his teammates were not dead yet at this time.

Asa picked up the briefcase containing the T-Virus and G-Virus samples and made a copy of the G-Virus research data.

Walking leisurely to the exit door of the laboratory, Asa turned back and waved to William:

"Goodbye, William."

"If we ever meet again, I will definitely protect your daughter well, so just rest assured..."

Asa shrugged, didn't continue, and turned to leave.

"No! The G-Virus! This is my life's work!"

Much like a helpless husband watching his newlywed wife being stolen away by a well-endowed man while his own "enoki mushroom" can do nothing, William let out a wail, splayed on the ground with all four limbs, his eyes filled with grief.

Just then, William's phone suddenly rang.

William crawled over with effort and took out his phone; the caller was Annette Birkin.

The call connected, and before William could speak, Annette said coldly: "William, no, Mr. Birkin, from the very beginning, we have been on the wrong path. This mistake cannot continue any longer."

"No, Annie, what do you mean?"

William froze in place. He didn't understand what had happened or why things had suddenly taken a 180-degree turn.

"William, one last piece of advice for you," Annette thought of their past relationship and sighed: "Leave. The direction of Umbrella Corporation was wrong from the start."

The phone hung up.

The phone in his hand fell to the ground, and William muttered to himself, "How could it be like this?"

"At this moment, am I dreaming?"

In just a few short minutes, his research results had vanished into thin air, Annette was missing, and the entire Umbrella Corporation was about to withdraw from Raccoon City.

A moment later, the door was pushed open, and fully armed octopus-faced soldiers filed in.

"Don't move, Dr. Birkin. Come with us; you've been exposed," said the octopus-faced leader.

Asa retreated with the G-Virus. After hijacking the entire underground base's system, almost everything happening inside the base could not be hidden. Seeing William being justly arrested by the U.S.S. Alpha Team, Asa couldn't help but clap in approval.

Because the G-Virus and T-Virus had been taken by Asa, there was almost no possibility of William transforming into the G-Creature.

At the same time, the T-Virus sample was also taken, and Raccoon City had avoided another outbreak of resident evil; it was truly a joyous and congratulatory occasion.

Having unknowingly saved all of Raccoon City, Asa didn't feel smug about it. As a transmigrator, saving the lives of a city wasn't a big deal; giving beautiful girls a home was something worth being proud of.

The U.S.S. Alpha Team quickly discovered the theft of the G-Virus and T-Virus samples. While interrogating William about who had stolen the samples, they activated the research base's emergency security procedures. The entire research base went into lockdown, allowing entry but not exit.

However, Asa was no longer in NEST 1. After leaving the nest, Asa chose to head to Sherry Birkin's home. Raccoon City was becoming increasingly unsafe, and he wanted to take Sherry Birkin to the factory.

While heading to Sherry Birkin's home, Asa picked up the violet liquid in his hand and injected it directly into his carotid artery.

While waiting for the gene fragments to form and stabilize, Asa inexplicably remembered another horror game from the same era as resident evil, called "Parasite Eve."

It was about how, hundreds of millions of years ago, mitochondria were swallowed by cells and became a part of them, but in modern society, the mitochondria betrayed the cells and transformed humans into monsters.

That was roughly the plot; Asa only impression was that the heroine's promotional poster was quite pretty.

While on the way, after the G-Virus perfectly merged, it added a new ability for Asa! [Bio-electric Control]!
