Chapter 13 - CHAPTER 13 : Crime Scene #3

The police stopped calling them murders.

Because murder required logic.

These didn't.

Bodies weren't found anymore.

Just absence.

Rooms left untouched—

Except for the symbols.

Tanvir walked through one of the crime scenes unnoticed.

Even cameras failed to capture him.

"Three in one night," Tanzila said quietly.

"You're accelerating."

"I'm refining."

"Refining what?"

He looked at the symbol.

"My purpose."

A detective stood nearby, examining the wall.

"This isn't human," he muttered.

Tanvir stepped beside him.

"You're right."

The detective shivered—

But didn't see him.

Tanzila grabbed Tanvir's arm.

"You need to stop."

"Why?"

"Because this is wrong!"

Tanvir turned slowly.

"Wrong implies a standard."

"And?"

"I define the standard."

Her breath caught.

"That's not how the world works."

Tanvir smiled slightly.

"It is now."

The symbol on the wall suddenly changed.

Right in front of them.

Without being touched.

Tanzila stared in horror.

"You didn't even move…"

"I didn't need to."

The detective collapsed.

No warning.

No cause.

Just—

Gone.

Tanzila stepped back, shaking.

"You're not just killing anymore…"

Tanvir looked at her.

Cold.

Distant.

"I'm rewriting existence."
