Meanwhile, on the other side of the city, Zayden arrived in Manhattan.
He landed the Lamborghini in an abandoned place before switching it back into normal driving mode.
After making sure no one had seen him, he drove onto the road like any other driver and headed toward his new property.
Among the items he had taken from the gang leader's office was the deed to a large mansion in Manhattan.
It was clear the gang leader had been using it to hide his illegal wealth.
About thirty minutes later, Zayden stopped in front of the property.
The mansion stood behind a tall iron gate surrounded by trees and a high stone wall.
It was far larger than he had expected.
"So... I own this now."
He unlocked the front gate using the keys he had taken from the gang leader.
The front door opened without any trouble.
The inside of the mansion was clean and fully furnished.
Expensive paintings hung on the walls, while marble floors stretched through the entrance hall.
The living room contained high-end furniture, a large television, and a modern entertainment system.
"This place is worth millions."
He spent the next few hours searching every room.
Inside the master bedroom, he found a safe hidden behind a painting.
Using Upgrade, he unlocked it in seconds.
Inside were stacks of cash, several gold bars, jewelry, passports under different names, and documents connected to the gang's money laundering business.
Zayden took the cash and valuables but left the documents where they were.
"They might become useful later."
After checking the rest of the house, he found a large garage beneath the mansion.
Several luxury cars were parked inside, along with shelves filled with expensive tools and spare parts.
A smile appeared on his face.
"Looks like I'll have plenty of materials for Upgrade."
He closed the garage and walked back into the mansion.
For the first time since arriving in this world, he finally had a safe place to stay.
After taking a shower and changing into much better clothes, Zayden sat on the balcony of the mansion, overlooking the lights of Manhattan.
"I guess this is why people want to become millionaires," he muttered.
The view was peaceful.
As he sat there, he remembered the day he had spent using the Graviton Template.
"...I guess not every power comes without side effects," Zayden said quietly.
The Graviton Template came from the version of Graviton in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Glenn Talbot had eventually become unstable, developing an obsession with power and believing that only he could save the world. That mindset wasn't just part of his memories—it subtly influenced anyone using the template.
While using it, Zayden had noticed himself becoming colder, more ruthless, and far more willing to solve problems with overwhelming force.
Fortunately, the influence had faded once he deactivated the template.
"I should avoid relying on unstable templates like this," he muttered.
Thankfully, his innate ability allowed him to suppress or completely block the mental influence of a template if he chose to, although doing so also reduced how naturally he could use its powers.
"Good thing I was still in the hospital when I got the Homelander Template."
He remembered only activating it for a few seconds to let its enhanced physique accelerate his recovery.
"If I had used it for too long... who knows what kind of person I would've become."
Shaking those thoughts from his mind, Zayden leaned back in his chair and enjoyed the cool evening breeze.
That night, Zayden decided to go out for dinner.
He had no intention of living like a poor student anymore.
"I should enjoy this new life," he said to himself.
He walked down to the underground garage and looked at the collection of luxury cars.
After thinking for a moment, he chose a 2005 Rolls-Royce Phantom, one of the finest Rolls-Royce models available till date.
Its black paint reflected the lights of the garage, and the handcrafted interior looked as luxurious as the mansion itself.
"Let's take this one."
He started the engine.
The powerful V12 came to life with almost no sound.
A few moments later, the Rolls-Royce slowly rolled out of the garage and onto the streets of Manhattan.
Zayden wasn't in a hurry.
He drove at a comfortable speed, enjoying the cool night breeze through the slightly opened window.
The streets were still lively.
Restaurants, cafés, and shops were filled with people enjoying their evening.
For the first time since arriving in this world, Zayden felt completely relaxed.
After driving around the city for nearly half an hour, he stopped in front of one of Manhattan's finest hotels.
A valet immediately walked over.
"Good evening, sir."
Zayden handed him the keys.
"Please park it carefully."
"Of course, sir."
The valet respectfully drove the Rolls-Royce away while Zayden walked through the hotel's grand entrance.
The lobby was decorated with crystal chandeliers, polished marble floors, and elegant furniture.
Without attracting much attention, he made his way to the hotel's fine dining restaurant, intending to enjoy a peaceful dinner before returning home.
A waiter greeted him as soon as he entered the restaurant.
"Good evening, sir. Do you have a reservation?"
"No."
The waiter smiled politely.
"We still have a few tables available. Please follow me."
Zayden followed him to a seat beside the large glass windows overlooking the Manhattan skyline.
The atmosphere inside the restaurant was calm.
Soft music played in the background while guests quietly enjoyed their meals.
The waiter handed him the menu.
"Would you like something to drink first, sir?"
"A glass of orange juice."
"Certainly."
A few minutes later, the waiter returned with the drink.
After looking through the menu, Zayden ordered a grilled steak, mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, and a bowl of mushroom soup.
"I'll have those."
"Very well, sir."
The waiter left to place the order.
While waiting, Zayden looked out the window at the busy streets below.
People walked along the sidewalks, taxis moved through traffic, and the lights of the city stretched into the distance.
"This city is a lot bigger than I imagined."
About twenty minutes later, the food arrived.
The waiter carefully placed each dish on the table.
"Please enjoy your meal."
"Thank you."
Zayden picked up his knife and fork and took his first bite.
The steak was tender and well-seasoned.
"The food is actually worth the price."
He continued eating at a relaxed pace while occasionally looking out the window.
Without thinking about anything, he put a small piece of the steak in his mouth and chewed it while savoring it.
He simply enjoyed a quiet dinner and the peaceful atmosphere around him.
