Chapter 2 -  Breaking the Limits of Chakra

Iruka Umino said awkwardly to Orion, "Orion, don't mind it. Naruto just has a bad memory."

Even as he said it, Iruka felt the excuse was weak. No matter how bad someone's memory was, they shouldn't forget a classmate they'd spent six years with.

To Iruka's surprise, Orion didn't get angry.

He smiled lightly. "It's fine. I'm just not very good at socializing."

"Don't say that—it's just Naruto's terrible memory," Iruka said seriously.

This was also the first time Naruto Uzumaki truly noticed Orion.

"Iruka-sensei, did Orion pass the graduation exam?"

Iruka turned his head and said with a forced smile, "Of course he did. You're the only one in the class who didn't pass. What have you been doing all these years?"

Naruto scratched his head awkwardly. "Iruka-sensei, I'm just bad at the Clone Technique. My Sexy Jutsu is really good though!"

At the mention of that technique, Iruka's face turned red with anger. "Don't bring up that indecent jutsu!"

Naruto shrank back and muttered, "But you even got a nosebleed watching it…"

"Enough! Don't say another word…"

Iruka's face flushed with embarrassment.

Orion didn't pay much attention. He turned to the shop owner and said, "Old man, one bowl of tonkotsu ramen."

Teuchi smiled while preparing the ramen. "You passed the academy exam—soon you'll be a ninja. I'll add two extra eggs for you today."

Orion smiled. "Thank you, Uncle."

At that moment, Ayame placed some beef in front of him and said cheerfully, "Orion, I'm happy for you too!"

Because Orion came often, was polite, and had a good appearance, Ayame had always liked him.

By the time Iruka and Naruto finished talking, Orion had almost finished eating. Because they were there, he ate faster than usual.

After finishing, he stood up. "Iruka-sensei, Naruto, enjoy your meal. I'll head out first."

Iruka was slightly stunned at how quickly Orion left. Looking at Naruto, he understood something—but didn't blame Orion.

After all, Orion's parents had died in the Nine-Tails Attack on Konoha. It was normal for him to feel distant.

Naruto, unaware of anything, laughed and waved. "Bye, Orion! Let's hang out sometime!"

Orion simply smiled faintly and left—polite, yet distant.

Naruto didn't notice it, but Iruka did.

"He's already better than most. At least there's no obvious hatred in his eyes."

What Iruka didn't know was that Orion avoided Naruto simply to stay out of trouble.

Back home, Orion lay on his bed, closing his eyes as he wondered when the system reward would arrive—and whether the Idle System was even real.

Time passed.

Near midnight, just as he was about to fall asleep—

"You have idled for one day. Reward granted: Chakra limit removed."

Orion frowned slightly, not yet understanding what it meant.

Suddenly, faint blue light began to appear around his body.

Having already learned how to extract chakra, Orion immediately recognized it—this was chakra.

But what shocked him was its density.

It had become visible.

"So much chakra… this amount is at least a hundred times what I had before. Is this my reward?"

The next moment, the chakra surged wildly into his body.

A wave of intense comfort spread through him. It felt so overwhelming that he almost cried out. If he hadn't bitten into his blanket, his neighbors might have misunderstood what he was doing.

After a long while, the chakra was fully absorbed.

"This is unbelievable… I can actually absorb chakra from the outside."

Normally, a ninja's chakra is extracted from their own cells. That was how Orion had always done it.

He used to worry that extracting chakra might weaken the body—but that was unnecessary. In this world, extracting chakra didn't harm the body unless it was excessive.

However, the amount of chakra one could produce was limited by their physique.

In simple terms, those from ninja clans had far greater chakra reserves than ordinary people.

Orion's chakra had always been average.

His parents were civilian ninjas, so his chakra reserves couldn't compare to someone like Sasuke Uchiha—the gap was about ten times.

Compared to Naruto, the difference was even more absurd—tens of thousands of times greater, and that wasn't even counting the chakra of Kurama. Just Naruto's Uzumaki Clan bloodline alone gave him immense reserves.

And as Naruto grew older, that gap would only widen.

In this world, bloodlines were extremely important. Without one, at best you could be like Might Guy—brilliant for a moment, but limited.

But now—

Orion could feel it clearly.

His chakra was now a hundred times greater than before—already comparable to a jōnin.

And more importantly, he could draw chakra from the outside world.

That meant he could replenish chakra anytime, anywhere—something most ninjas couldn't do.

The energy of nature far exceeded what existed within his body. Now, he could feel that external energy constantly flowing into him, pure and high-quality.

What Orion didn't realize was that what he was absorbing wasn't ordinary chakra—but natural energy.

Natural energy could not only be used in battle but also nourish the body.

His body wasn't particularly strong to begin with, and it limited how much chakra he could absorb. If he had Naruto's physique, his chakra might already surpass Naruto's by hundreds of times.

Even so, his entire body now felt incredibly comfortable—more relaxing than soaking in a hot bath.

"This system is incredible. Just the first day gave me such a huge boost."

"The only problem is… I don't know any jutsu beyond the Three Basic Techniques."

His parents hadn't left behind any ninjutsu scrolls. They were just ordinary chūnin.

"Well, I'll take it step by step. Maybe the system will provide more later."

"Even just this increase in chakra is already amazing."

"Right now, my chakra far surpasses Sasuke's."

The Uchiha Clan was known for having strong chakra, but compared to the Uzumaki Clan and Senju Clan, it still fell short.

After all, without sufficient chakra, it would be impossible to properly use the Sharingan—let alone the Mangekyō Sharingan.
