Casperius had embarked himself on a newfound mission granted by himself. Create the perfect machine that can grant anything through mana, a goddess. He had promised Erika he'd save her mother, but he would need Erikas help. So instead of working 15 jobs in a day she'd visit Casperius's home to help make a machine to save her mom.
"Are you sure you can save my mommy?"
"Yes, as long as you'd do anything to save her."
The machine he'd devised would take mechanical gears formed and attuned by his affinity to formulate and weave mana coming from a constant source, and then it would take the weaved mana which had been elemented through the processes of the machine, and take it back into the source. Effectively amplifying the sources mana by a triple fold and taking the new outputted mana to formulate what he dubbed, "Divine Power".
This process could happen up to 10 times before the machine would break down from the condensed buildup of mana. Though it'd form a power similar to the first humans.
Impressive as it sounds, dangerous it is more. And the process Casperius would choose to take to create this machine, would be to cut up Erikas body, take her flesh and heart and use it as the constant source of mana which was needed.
Before this, Casperius the manic would have realized that if he were to help out her mother, the only person who visits him would visit him no more. He could not accept this fact, and he played her into the devils hands. The vermin would keep her forever.
