Sez felt warmth on her skin as Rayton’s faint breath brushed past it. He seemed a little more breathless… or shakier than usual.
Sez stared at him blankly, sensing a different color in the red eyes that were staring at her. The usual gleam of wisdom was nowhere to be seen and they looked somewhat murky, almost like an endless, pitch-black night.
Soon enough, a large arm slithered around her slender waist.
“……”
The flower fell from Sez's hand and her sapphire eyes shook slightly. Her heart was not just pounding, it was about to explode. And… suddenly, a gust of wind blew through the greenhouse.
“Gasp!”
Sez let out a soft, surprised squeal. Rayton looked past the walls of the greenhouse, squinting as he did so. Beyond the greenhouse was snow, scattering like dust following the sound of the rough wind.
"It's been snowing for a few days… now it’s finally windy.”
Rayton murmured softly, but Sez looked down at her hands wordlessly.
