Rayton called Sez’s name with a cracking voice. There was no sign of life on her face as she looked at him, her expression crumbling.

Sez let out a few unintelligible groans before embracing Rayton, who’d collapsed to the ground. She fumbled over his chest with trembling hands as if trying to stop the bleeding by applying pressure... but it was futile. Her hands were merely soaked with blood.
