"I thought you were only going to ask one question?"
"I asked this second one since you don't have to answer it. Instead, I’d like to hear your response next time, when you want to talk about it. Honestly though, I'm just asking out of curiosity.”
The look in Junhui’s eyes was strange. Was he trying to use her to get clues to find her mother, or did he have some sort of interest in her?
Jinju was even confused by her own nonsensical thoughts. She had encountered him once or twice, but she didn’t want to get involved with him any further.
"I should go now… No, no, I don't need you to accompany me, especially in that outfit. The café isn’t that far from here."
Jinju got up and firmly declined Junhui as he attempted to stand up and follow her. She strode away briskly, her footsteps sinking into the sand below her.
Junhui bit his lips and stared at her back before turning his head to look up at the red sky.
"Sir…”
