I'd dragged every old record I could find onto the desk and was flipping through them when the door cracked open. Nadia slipped while carrying a cup of coffee. She set one down in front of me.
"You look like you're trying to murder those books, Alpha," she said. "What are you looking for?"
I rubbed my eyes and took the coffee. "Anything on tethers. Real information, not the usual vague shit."
She frowned. "Tethers?"
I hesitated, then let it out. "Elise and Reid. There's some kind of tether between them. When she tries to leave the pack house, it hurts them both. They get better when they're near each other. I don't know what the fuck it is."
