Chapter 22 - THE STAGE IS SET

09:45 AM (15 minutes before inspection)

Central Logistics Warehouse – Sector 3

Sector 3 is the beating heart of Ironport's distribution. Here, thousands of shipping containers move daily. Beneath its legal surface, Sector 3 is a "gray zone" where the Seifong faction stashes their illegal weaponry before distributing it to the streets.

The Front Line: The Police

Three tactical police units came to a halt in front of the main gate of warehouse number 302. Sinclair stepped out in full uniform, his gold badge glinting under a cloudy sun. Behind him, dozens of heavily armed officers prepared for the surprise inspection.

"Make sure every container is checked," Sinclair ordered in a commanding voice. "I don't want a single illegal Seifong bullet slipping through today."

Sinclair felt confident. Based on the intelligence he had received, today was the scheduled date for a massive unloading. However, he remained unaware that above his head, the true predators were watching.

The Nero Familia POV: Silence Behind the Lens

Atop the old clock tower 800 meters away, Krow lay prone. His electromagnetic sniper rifle lacked a conventional long barrel; instead, it featured a series of magnetic rails ready to launch tungsten projectiles.

"Target (Sinclair) is in the green zone. Officers are entering the warehouse," Krow reported through a specialized earpiece crafted by Key.

"Copy that, Krow. Hold your fire until my instruction," Rion's voice came through calmly from a hidden command center.

Meanwhile, amidst the crowd of dockworkers, Lea moved undercover, wearing a safety vest and a construction helmet. She walked casually past the parked Seifong trucks, attaching small discs Acoustic Disruptors—to the undersides of their fuel tanks.

"One... two... three discs attached," Lea whispered.

"Good, Lea. Garry, are you ready?" Ren asked through the comms.

Garry was positioned in the drainage pipes directly beneath the warehouse floor. He was installing additional fiber optic cables to ensure Key had a direct link to the internal alarm system, bypassing police firewalls.

"One minute, Miss Ren. The 'rat runs' are ready for evacuation," Garry replied, his breath slightly hurried but controlled.

Command Center: Key & Funin

Back at the Sector 7 headquarters, Key stared at ten monitors simultaneously. Her fingers danced across the keyboard, piercing through Sector 3's police security layers.

"I've hijacked the warehouse PA system," Key reported. "Funin, your turn."

Funin adjusted the studio microphone in front of her. She had prepared samples of Commissioner Sinclair's voice, processed through audio manipulation software. "Waiting for Rion's cue, Key. I'll make them lose their minds."

The Director

Rion and Ren stood on a small rooftop that offered a panoramic view of the warehouse 302 area. Rion held digital binoculars, while Ren monitored a tablet tracking Seifong's finances and stocks in real-time.

"Sinclair is almost at the primary container," Rion noted. "When he opens it, the world will know his authority is nothing but an illusion."

Ren smiled coldly. "Let the orchestra begin, Rion."

Below, Sinclair stepped forward and ordered his men to break the seal on the largest container. He expected to find thousands of weapons he could seize to boost his reputation. He had no idea that in a matter of seconds, everything would turn into fire and chaos.

Sector 3 had become a stage. And Nero Familia was about to pull the curtain.
