Valentina tilted her head as she looked up at me, the distance between us not as close as it had been before but most definitely not 'proper' enough if someone else was to come in and see us as we were right now.
Whether or not the woman - this complicated, impossibly difficult to read woman - in front of me actually understood what she was doing right now or not was certainly one of those things that I wasn't able to read.
The way she was looking at me felt dangerous, both because she was so close - close enough that that alluring scent of hers was filling my nose in full force, bringing up the memories of something that would undoubtedly haunt me for the rest of my life - and because I just couldn't tell what was going on in those inky eyes of hers.
