The little girl pointed towards the robot standing by in the farm and queried, "Brother, what's that? It looks like a robot from the movies."
Chen Wei chuckled and replied, "That's right, MeiMei, it is a robot. But this one is here to assist me."
MeiMei's eyes sparkled with excitement as she exclaimed, "Wow, Brother is so amazing! They're all working under you?"
"Working under me?"
Chen Wei paused, but then realized there wasn't really an issue with what was said.
He glanced down at his sister cradled in his arms. The little girl's gaze hadn't strayed from the robot for even a second; she was fixated. Seeing her fascination, Chen Wei chuckled and offered, "MeiMei, how about a magic trick? Big brother will perform one just for you."
Upon hearing this, the little girl whipped her head around, her eyes alight with excitement. "I want to see big brother's magic trick!"
Setting MeiMei and Chen Mei down gently, Chen Wei grinned and said, "Watch closely, MeiMei. I'm going to make another robot appear for you!"
"Mhm, mhm," Chen Mei bobbed her head eagerly, resembling a chick pecking at grains. She stood in the yard, her face brimming with expectation as she watched her brother.
Chen Wei dove into the system's marketplace with his mind, locating the Beginner Guard Robot and opting to redeem it.
A message congratulated him:

Turning to his sister, Chen Wei inquired, "Ready, MeiMei? Remember, no blinking."

Chen Wei gestured towards a clear spot nearby and commanded, "Reveal!"
With a buzz, a glow materialized, and a black-armored robot stood before Chen Wei and MeiMei.
"Wow, amazing, amazing!" MeiMei exclaimed, far from frightened. Instead, she was brimming with excitement, hopping joyfully in place and clapping her tiny hands together.
The guard robot activated, announcing, "System operational. Awaiting your command, Master."
"Patrol the perimeter of the farm," Chen Wei instructed.
"Understood, Master," the robot responded.
Chen Wei then turned back to the little girl, smiling warmly. "See? Big brother kept his promise, didn't he?"
Chen Mei continued to applaud, her admiration clear. "Big brother is so amazing, so amazing."
Watching his little sister's lively reaction, Chen Wei felt a wave of relief wash over him; the cancer medication was evidently taking effect.
Chen Wei turned to the little girl with a warm smile. "MeiMei, big brother has to head back to the farm to work, but I'll return shortly. Do you want to come with me, or would you rather wait here at home for me, or play with that robot?" The little girl lifted her gaze to meet his, her face brimming with anticipation.
The Beginner Guard Robot, standing just under 1.6 meters tall with a slightly plump build and a helmet resembling a steel cap, looked like a minion of a female hero from the game Fighters' King—a touch of cuteness in its design. This was precisely why the little girl was so delighted.
"How about I make another guard robot to keep MeiMei company? Would you like that?" Chen Wei said, smiling at her excitement. With over ten thousand exchange points at his disposal, and having spent just three thousand on a guard robot, he still had a comfortable 9,050 points remaining.
With more than 6,000 points left after another exchange, he had plenty to acquire crops. "Yes, yes!" MeiMei beamed at the prospect of another robot friend.
Chen Wei proceeded to exchange for another black-armored robot and issued his command: "Your task is to protect my sister, MeiMei. Play with her and look after her." "Understood, Master," the guard robot responded.
In no time, MeiMei was happily playing with her new robotic companion. The joys of childhood are simple—good food and fun are all it takes to be content and joyful.
"MeiMei, you play here in the yard while your brother takes care of some things," Chen Wei instructed before heading off to the farm.
He set about selecting seeds, acceleration potions, and a Farm's Assistant Robot for exchange. This time, he opted for ten bags of various high-quality seeds:

He then turned his attention to the acceleration potion, purchasing 50 bottles for another 2,500 exchange points.
With only 1,050 exchange points remaining, Chen Wei decisively opted for the Farm's Assistant Robot, leaving him with a mere 50 points.
"Next time, I'll be able to go for the advanced acceleration potion," he mused. "Then, the crops will grow five times faster, maturing for harvest every two to four hours."
