The rain poured heavily on her but she didn't seem the least bothered. She looked straight into the distance , people that passed by murmured but she didn't flinch a bit.
She looked on and didn't seem to notice the car that halted right in front of her. A pair of feet came out of the car and then a body of a tall handsome man that came towards her. At first , she take notice of him until he came towards her and took off his coat and wrapped it around, she tried to struggle in his arms as he carried her but she stopped, knowing fully well it was doing absolutely nothing to him .
" Where are you taking me?" She asked " Somewhere". Somewhere explained nothing in particular. Just somewhere. She wanted to struggled again but she felt... strange.
He placed her gently in passenger's seat and closed the door. That's when it hit her , she began to shiver from the cold and her body grew hotter as seconds past , when he entered the car he saw her and suddenly became perplexed, anxious and in a haste drove to a hospital nearby.
At first he didn't know what had brought him out that day but his mom had visited and displayed the drama she always does before she left and he went back in. His butler was on vacation for the first three rainy days and so was his driver.
The doctor that came out of the lady's room disrupted his thoughts.
" How is she?" He rushed to the doctor " Hmm. How long has she been in the rain?" He wanted to say he didn't know but the disturbed look on the doctor's face made him say " A couple minutes" and the doctor nodded slowly that it was almost dramatic " Well..." The doctor finally said " She has a very high fever and is unconscious but I have given her a drip " " Thank you " They shook hands .
At that moment he wanted to leave but something deep down drew him back and he was amused by it although they had just met for the first time.
