MURDER CASE OF GOKUMON ISLAND
Kindaichi Nashi becomes entangled in a terrorist incident in the Middle East, where he receives the final manuscript of his friend, Tōgōji Shōichi. Shōichi’s dying message reads: “When I die, my four sisters will be murdered.” Soon after leaving behind those words, he perishes.
Honoring his friend’s last wish, Nana-shi travels to Shōichi’s homeland—Gokumon Island. Whether by coincidence or fate, it is a place deeply connected to his grandfather, Kindaichi Kōsuke, whose past investigations had already stained the island’s name with tragedy.
At the same time, Nana-shi’s cousin Kamiyama Nao receives a letter addressed to Kōsuke himself—an old request for help that somehow resurfaces now, decades later.
As the island prepares for Shōichi’s funeral, the tension among the residents grows palpable. Whispers of inheritance disputes spread through the humid sea air, and an ominous sense of inevitability settles over the island.
And then—at last—the first victim is found.
A fan fiction depicting the feudal hierarchy, ancient customs, and deep-seated hatred that still linger within Japanese society.
