TORREN FOLLOWS SHAWNEY"
Turning to see if she had taken the extra set of keys, but the extra key was still hanging on the hook.
Curious to know how she enters, "Sweetheart, how did you get into my room?"
Waiting for an answer, only to realise my words had fallen on deaf ears. turning towards her, only to see she had already fallen asleep.
Thinking lunch will be the next hour, and he could take a shut-eye himself, but with her next to him, it was a bit difficult, feeling this urge to touch her.
Taking some deep breaths, but the nearness of her body was radiating a heat, making it difficult to relax.'
Sitting upright thinking, 'She is tired, and it will be very unfair and selfish of him to disturb her rest, when he had already slept late.'
Going by the window looking out when the thought crosses his mind, 'I never thought I will ever be married again, but I am now and I love her.
Turning to look at her in his bed, so relaxed and asleep. My main concern now is my children's safety and their upbringing.
Seeing the two children with her today, it put a slight fear in my heart for a moment. Recalling how Nancy used to treat him in front of everyone. It's the same way, especially when Dad was around. Whispering a prayer, "Oh Lord, please don't let this be a show in front of me, and behind my back, she ill-treats my children."
Torren closed his eyes to blot out those horrible thoughts as he took a long, deep breath and said to himself.
"I will not compare her to Nancy. Shawney is kind-hearted, and she treats my children with love. I must trust my instinct and know that I have made the right decision. Also, I would like to see what she has inherited. And what type of business she owned. But that will have to wait. She had insisted that she won't leave until Careen has the baby.'
So lost in his thoughts when the knocking came on his door, he jumped, then he hurried to open it. "Yes!"
"Torren, it is Lasandra. Careen needs Shawney. Do you know where she is?"
"I believe she is resting."
"Then I am going to call the doctor because I was knocking and she is not answering."
"Wait one minute I will knock on her door," closing his room door so no one will see her then walk to her door-knocking, then call, "Shawney, Shawney are you in there?"
When the door opens, "Yes!"
"Oh, Shawney, Careen needs you," Lasandra said.
Hearing Shawney said, "Just give me a minute."
Seeing the confusion on Torren's face as his lip twitches then his mouth opens.
As many confusing thoughts cross his mind, recalling her words. 'She said she comes through the wall. Now I know that is madness and impossible but how did she reach in her room, where did she pass?'
Returning to his room, still confused because she had already closed her door. Finding her in his room. 'Am I losing my mind again? This is impossible.'
Shawney, seeing his confusion, started to laugh, then sat on his lap and kissed his lips until she got a response and his full attention.
When he said, "You are driving me insane. Look, if someone were to come in or even the children, the door is open, what would they think?"
She ignores what I said, saying, "I love you, but Careen needs me."
Seeing she push my clothes aside in my wardrobe and disappears. Following her then comes through her wardrobe into her room.
Pinning her on her bed punishing her for allowing him to go through the thought of insanity.
Lying next to her breathless whispering his love to her with his eyes close.
Shawney slips out of bed quietly, seeing Torren sleeping, then she takes a quick shower. Before leaving her room, she locks her door and hurries to attend to Careen.
Reaching Careen room seeing what was happening Shawney shriek, uttering, "Oh my God," running down the stairs to call the ambulance, then hurried to her room and change.
Seeing him still sound asleep, writing a note, then she slipped it in his hand, locked the door once more, and hurried to assist Careen.
Grabbing her bag, "Okay girl come on and just keep breathing." We took a while to reach the stairs, but she was coming along fine.
Hearing her groan a few times with the pain, but I encourage her to take some deep breaths. By the time we reach the front, the ambulance reach.
Instructing Lasandra to go get dad and come, and I will be with her, having to raise my voice to get her to focus, "For God's sake, Lasandra, will you stop crying? Now go and get Dad."
"Yes, yes, I will," but she continues to stand there, watching as the ambulance drive away. "Oh dear God, I only hope Shawney is still here when I have to go to the hospital,"
Hurrying to her father-in-law's room and knocking, "Dad, are you awake? Please wake up, it is Careen?"
"Yes, child, what is the matter with Careen?"
"Dad, Careen got sick, and she has gone to the hospital."
Seeing his door open, "When did that happen?
"Dad, Shawney is with her, and she said you should come."
"Okay child, give me a minute and I will meet you downstairs."
