Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

It was early in the morning, the sun starts to rise over the horizon, it was another day for Kichiro as a high school student. He was living at a dorm with his roommate named Izumi who happens to be his schoolmate.

Kichiro pulled an all-night cram to prepare for his upcoming tests that day, and slept through his alarms. Luckily Izumi, who was usually the one being woken u by Kichiro, woke him up and Kichiro was startled and immediately jumped out of bed to get ready.

He hurriedly packed his things, rushed to the bathroom and came out in almost at an instant. As Izumi was waiting for him outside the door, she noticed they we're going to be late no matter what so she told Kichiro that there was no point in rushing. He came out after a few moments looking pale, and Izumi joked around that he looked like a tired zombie, and Kichiro just rolled his eyes as response.

They were thirty minutes late when they've finally arrived at school, luckily their first class wasn't the one with the exam. Although they received a good scolding, they decided to carry on. Lunch break came, and Kichiro was eating with a good friend of his named, Shiro. Kichiro talked to him about how he doesn't feel good, as if he knows something is bad is going to happen. Shiro just laughed at him and said it was probably just him overthinking. Kichiro decided to just shrug it off for now.

After the school ended that day, Izumi met Kichiro on her way to the dorm, and she was concerned about how he looked uneasy. She decided to ask him if there was something wrong but, Kichiro just brushed it off by saying that he was just hungry and that he needs a good sleep. Izumi decided that Kichiro should go home first and that she whould just buy food for him and take it to the dorm so he would be able to get a good rest. Kichiro felt bad and tried to deny that he was fine, but Izumi insisted so he had no choice but to go with it.

When Izumi finally cam back to the dorm, she knocked on Kichiro's door and there was no answer. She knocked again and called for his name but still no answer. She concluded that he might have fallen asleep after losing all his energy, so she decided to eat dinner by herself.

It was almost midnight, and Izumi was concerned about Kichiro as she had never seen him in such kind of state before. She peeked outside from her room to see if Kichiro had taken his food from the table, but it was still there.

She came out of her room and knocked on his door, but there was still no response. She tried calling his name a couple more times before she finally tried twisting the knob. To her surprise it was open, and peeked to see if Kichiro was inside. It was dark, but she could still see what was in her sight. She couldn't see him so she pushed the door open and saw no signs of Kichiro anywhere. Instead of being panicked, she got chills throughout her body, she had a feeling that someone or... something was watching her. She was frozen, thinking that if she looked up or outside the window or behind her that someone will appear.

She closed her eyes, and suddenly she hears a girl's laugh from somewhere. She finally gathered her thoughts and quickly turned on the lights of the room. She noticed that Kichiro never came back, as his bag wasn't there. She thought that maybe he might have gone to the laundry, so she quickly went to the laundry area, but he wasn't there. Izumi finally made up her mind and trusted that Kichiro will come back to the dorm on his own as he might be facing some personal problems.

She came back to her room, turned off the lights and laid flat in her bed. She cleared her thoughts and proceeded to drift away in her sleep.

"Hey! Hey!"

"Looking for him?"

"You like him don't you?"

"Oh? Is that so?"

"Well too bad... "
