As a kid I was always fascinated by the idea of traveling trough space. So much so that when I watched movies with aliens in them I was never scared of how they were designed. I was captivated by the look of there horrific bodies. I started dreaming of going to space and meeting these otherworldly creatures. But dreaming about it wasn't enough.
I began to research how to get to space. How could I go meet them. "Man It would be great if they would come down here." I started working harder to reach this goal. I didn't care about anything other than meeting them. It was the only thing on my mind for years. My parents were even worried about me. People knew me as the weird alien guy but honestly I didn't care.
To me these creatures were far more important than anything else.
Unfortunately before I was even able to go to university. The space program was shut down.
Humans had lost interest in what might be out there. I lost interest in everything, and lost all hope on humanity. But what if they came down here? Would I feel happy again?
This small light of hope was the only thing keeping me alive.
New York, June 2nd 2079
"Did you see the news last night?" "Yeah there finally bringing the space program back." "Wow Travis this is probably the first time I've ever seen you excited for anything." Maybe I regained faith in humanity. "Oh is it really?" "Yea you always seem so gloomy and dead." "Oh sorry im just always zoned out." It doesn't matter I might quit my job today. "Maybe they will finally make the technology to travel to other systems." "Yea that would be great what if they finally find other species out there."
I feel like a kid again. Finally maybe my chance will come.
*eeee...* I realized a weird sound a little while ago but what is it. Its been getting louder. *eee... * Do you guys hear that?" "Yea its been going on all day but I thought it was just me." "What could it be?" *EEEEEEEEEE...* "AGHH what the fuck!" *BOOM*
"WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT!" There was a crack in the sky. But what could of caused it? Is it finally time will they come here? *crack* "WHATS GOING ON?" "There coming." My life is finally going the way I wanted it to. Why am I tearing up?
