"Why did you choose to come with us? I thought you wanted to stay."
The question that has been bother most of us. The other's perk up as well, they seemed to have forgotten about the whole thing.
Leslie just smiled and said, "Well, I can't have you guys have all the fun now couldn't I."
A cute smile that would probably make anyone fall in love, but Alex and the others didn't mind the smile as they have seen it plenty of time.
Alex was about to speak when Elijah jump in, "Well that would be unfair, now c'mon, let's explore this tribe," Elijah said as he swung around Alex's shoulders and dragged him around, the girls has nothing to do so they followed Elijah's lead.
While exploring, they met some of the people living here, apparently, those who can use magic are called magic wielder, and there are only a handful of them through out the whole island, so most go hunting and fighting with traditional weapons like spears, swords and bows and magic wielders are groomed by only the best Warrior and other magic wielders.
According to some of the nicer villagers, there are four tribes that focus on each of the four base elements, Tribe of Raging Fire, Tribe of Rushing Water, Tribe of Quaking Earth, and the tribe they are currently residing in, Tribe of Swirling Winds.
[I don't think I need to explain which tribe focuses on what element.]
While there are some nice villagers, there are also who think they are only trouble, especially the one named Hawk that Flies Like an Arrow who is a magic wielder and focuses on speed and stealth rather than strength and brute force.
Now that one think about it, most of the villagers that Alex's group met here focuses on speed and stealth
"Hey these are the new comers right?" Hawk said in a mocking tone.
Kristin picked up the mocking tone and was quickly enrage, she was going to blast him with those air punches she used earlier but Alex stopped her.
"This is not the time Kristin, we are trying to explore and get to know what place we are staying at," Alex coolly said and put down her arm.
"What are you scared?" One of Hawk's lackeys said and was immediately shut down by Hawk who is glaring at him, and the lackey quickly retreated.
Alex just sighed and said, "What can I do for you, Mister... Hawk right?"
"Ahh so the newcomer has heard of me, I'm flattered," Hawk complemented, "But I don't know what that mister thing is but base on how it sounds, it must be the one you use to address seniority from where you're from."
"Yes, from we are from, we address those who are above us as mister or miss," Alex said while trying to find a way out of trouble, cuz that wouldn't be ideal on their first day to be caught in trouble.
"Oh? Is that so, then you guys start addressing me as Mister Hawk that Flies Like an Arrow!" Hawk exclaimed.
"Now why would we do that? Have you done anything of note?" Gale suddenly appeared behind Hawk.
Hawk's smile suddenly froze upon hearing Gale, ignoring Hawk's reaction, she continue, "You haven't been the best at anything, not even average so why would we need to address you in such a respectful matter," Gale mocked.
Hawk's face flushed red and jump up the trees, the bystanders grinned at the matter and moved on with what they were doing.
"Now c'mon, I think you've explored enough on your own, now follow me," Gale signaled the group to follow her and they went up the tree towards the highest hut in the whole tribe.
