With Sebastian Lockwood coming over, Sydney Sawyer found the time at the Sawyer house exceptionally hard to bear. Chester Sawyer, on the other hand, was delighted, but his excitement was quickly crushed by Edwin Sawyer.
"Chester, come to the study for a moment. I need to talk to you."
Chester's heart skipped a beat. He knew exactly what this was about:
'The reckoning always comes.'
"Dad, is there something that has to be said in the study? Can't we just talk here?" He kept shooting glances at Sydney Sawyer, pleading for help, but she was completely distracted and ignored him.
"The study is quiet. It's a good place for a heart-to-heart."
"I think the living room is just fine, right, Sis—" Chester raised his voice, trying to snap Sydney Sawyer out of her daze.
"Stop calling for her. It's useless. I absolutely must have a good talk with you today." Edwin Sawyer grabbed Chester and dragged him toward the study.
