The two were tangled in a brawl. By the time the police officers pulled them apart, Kiara Dillon's face was beaded with blood from scratches, her clothes were torn, and her hair was a complete mess. She looked nothing like her usual delicate and gentle self.

Mindy Caldwell had clearly gone berserk. She'd been vicious. Kiara Dillon's face was so scratched up that there was barely a patch of clear skin left.
The way she looked, she wasn't far from being permanently disfigured.
Mindy Caldwell's chest heaved violently. Even as she was pulled away, she shrieked her accusation, "I thought you were my friend! Why would you do this to me? Tell me—"
She was clearly heartbroken, her voice raw and strained.
Faced with the accusation, Kiara Dillon had no defense and simply lowered her head in silence.
