"Sebastian, I can do it myself."
Flustered, Sydney Sawyer took the towel from Sebastian Lockwood and hastily dried her hair. When she pulled the towel away, her hair was a tangled mess, looking like a bird's nest.
"You'll catch a cold like that in an air-conditioned room during the summer."
"Okay, I get it."
"I'll walk you home after you dry your hair."
"It's late. You should stay and look after Chester."
"You pinched him just now and he didn't even stir. He's sleeping like a log. He hardly needs me to look after him. And you know it's late. I can't let you walk home alone at night," Sebastian Lockwood said, his eyes on her.
His tone was gentle in a way Sydney Sawyer couldn't refuse.
'Sleeping like a log?'
Chester felt like Sebastian was insulting him, but he had no proof!
Sydney Sawyer looked down at the SpongeBob shorts she was wearing. 'When have I ever worn something like this outside?'
Luckily, it was dark, so no one would probably notice her.
