"Time to eat!"
As everyone gathered around the dining table, Dundun sneaked down the stairs.
Shen Baobao quickly grabbed the freshly roasted silverfish to bond with her pet:
"Here, darling, these are grilled just for you by mommy. If you like them, mommy will make them for you every day, okay?"
Dundun eyed the fish suspiciously.
From its experience with mommy, it knew she wasn't great at making such dried fish.
But being a harmony-promoting little cat, Dundun hesitated for a moment but still rubbed its head against Shen Baobao's palm.
"Such an obedient darling!"
Dundun lowered its head, licked the tiny fish, and tasted it. Its eyes, originally squinted, widened in surprise. It then grabbed a piece and started eating rapidly.
While Dundun ate at its small table, Lin Xu and the others started their meal too.
They opened beers and filled their glasses.
Shen Baobao and Chen Yan, who was driving, opted for kvass instead.
