Chapter 491 -   Chapter 190: Fragments of a Super Soldier:

Darkseid is completely different from Thanos.

There's no real Thanos. There are countless Thanoses in countless parallel universes, and none of them share memories or power.

Darkseid, on the other hand, is different. He has a real body, and clones spread across numerous universes. Of course, the number of clones isn't as numerous as Thanos's, as the number of universes in the DC multiverse has plummeted since the Crisis on Infinite Earths.

But all Darkseids share the power of the "Omega Effect."

Even more interesting, many of Darkseid's clones possess a strong sense of autonomy.

Darkseid, who joined the Dark Multiverse's lord, Barbatos, and blended into the crowd as a mere foot soldier; Darkseid, who defected to the Batman Who Laughs; Darkseid, reduced to a baby, repeatedly used as a tool by the Justice League, serving as an Omega Launcher...

The other Darkseids remained silent in the face of these humiliations. Even their original form, located outside the multiverse, boasted the power to crush the entire multiverse with its mere presence, remained silent.

It was as if certain avatars, trapped and humiliated, were merely familiar strangers to the others, completely unconcerned. Even the adult Darkseid and the infant Darkseid stood side by side.

Therefore, Duval was intrigued by the Thanosed before him. He wondered how much of Darkseid's godhood was within him, and how many fragments of Darkseid's godhood were contained within him.

Darkseid's complete godhood shattered during the events of the Grand Symphony of Universes. Most of the fragments coalesced into his original form outside the multiverse, while smaller portions scattered across the multiverse, becoming clones.

Darkseid's primary goal in launching a series of actions was to reclaim all the fragments and return to his peak.

"Barbatos, the Batman Who Laughs, and the Justice League can use Darkseid as a tool, and so can I. Besides, only half of Thanosed belongs to Darkseid."

Duval watched Thanosed, suppressed by Mephisto's alien form, face defeat in disbelief.

Finally, he acted, appearing before the frantically struggling Thanosed.

Like a hunter surveying his successfully captured prey, it was a look Thanosed knew well; it was the same way he viewed those he had conquered and defeated in the past.

"Don't be angry about this. I've already said it. You're confined to this universe, and haven't seen the wonders of the vast world. You don't even know what Mephisto is, let alone me."

Duva said, "If you knew my story, you'd be relieved, because losing to me is not shameful."

"Losing to you is not shameful? Is that a common joke in your world? You didn't even make a move, only sending out a demon like this or something else!"

Sanoside's eyes continuously blazed with red rays, but at this moment, he no longer had the power to turn the tide of battle.

Sanoside, whose power had terrified the world, was brutally suppressed by Duva's all-round force. Duva didn't even use his full strength, but simply sent out a subordinate, granting him a portion of his power, to end the battle.

"I'm not it, but it is me. I know you won't understand, because you're not a god like me, after all. But I promise you'll understand soon."

Duval ordered Mephisto to maintain high pressure on Thanoside. He himself took action, forcefully disrupting the various energy waves erupting from Thanoside's body, finally pressing his hand against his chest.

Compared to the towering, rock-like Thanoside, Duval's stature seemed dwarfed, yet even this inflicted an unprecedented palpitation on Thanoside.

It wasn't death, but a profoundly awful sensation.

  Duval's concept had invaded him.

"Tsk, I'm seeing resistance indeed. It's not Thanoside itself resisting me, but rather the fragment of DC Darkseid's godhood clashing with my concept."

Duval instantly confirmed the situation. Pondering, his attack intensified, completely enveloping Thanoside with the concept he symbolized.

Darkseid can be a dog to others, so you, Sanoside, with your thick eyebrows and big eyes, are you being a dog to me? Are you feeling wronged?

As Duva's concepts invaded, they gradually transformed Sanoside into a new form.

Sanoside was furious to discover that a living being had appeared out of thin air in his chest.

Even more astonishing was that this strange creature, created from nothingness by Duva's concepts, had invaded every aspect of his body the moment it appeared, deciphering the code of his life.

"The more powerful the life form, the more astonishing its vital signs. Even a tiny cell contains a vast amount of information, baffling even the most brilliant scientists. This is the most remarkable genetic encryption technology," Duva said slowly.

It's normal that higher-level life forms are more difficult to understand and clone.

Duva's gift of power certainly has its limits, but it certainly wouldn't fail him with Sanoside. The moment the parasite was successfully acquired, it was only a matter of time before Sanoside's body was completely under his control.

As the alien hatchling rapidly assimilated Sanoside's genetic bloodline,

Mephisto released his grip and lashed out with his tail, sending Sanoside stumbling.

Sanoside realized with a grim expression that his body was no longer his own.

The creature in his chest was a complete replica of him, parasitic on him, sustenance flowing from him, and interfering with his actions. This was truly...

  a profound humiliation!

"So that's how it is! I finally understand what kind of god you are, and what's going on with your two strange subordinates. So you're creating them this way," Sanoside's expression darkened. He used every possible means to compete with the alien hatchling in his chest, even resorting to opening his eyes and blasting himself.

Even more disgusting was that, due to their shared bloodline and genetic fusion, his resistance gave him the uneasy feeling of being at odds with himself.

"You're honored to be joining my side. If it weren't for me, who would be willing to take in a guy like you who's a bit of both sides, yet neither is completely involved?"

Duva said, words that Sanoside couldn't fully understand.

Immediately, Duva extended a finger and poured a flood of information into Sanoside's mind.

This vast amount of information included a basic understanding of the DC multiverse.

Because at this moment, with his discovery and successful entry into Universe 9602, many things no longer needed to be hidden.     "Is our universe a hybrid? Two entities from different multiverses constructed our world? Every individual in our universe is essentially a fusion of entities from two multiverses?"

Thanoside digested this explosive information and immediately believed it. He trusted a being of Duva's caliber. There was no reason for such a lowly tactic as lies to achieve his goals, especially since he was already under Duva's control.

No supreme cosmic god would resort to deception for profit.

As he pondered, Thanoside struggled, repeatedly flooding himself with vast amounts of energy, engaging in a painful battle with the other "self" within his chest, attempting to find flaws and vulnerabilities in the alien larva.

Unfortunately, under Duva's influence, he found nothing, trapped in an endless cycle of fruitless efforts. Yet, a burning sense of unwillingness and inner pride compelled him to continue.

"Thanos and Darkseid, are my predecessors? It seems you've already created aliens from these two," Thanoside sneered.

"Only Thanos is. I didn't rip his chest open, and he's still active and serving me."

"Then be prepared. Once you travel to another multiverse, your control over your old sphere of influence will inevitably weaken, and some of your subordinates will inevitably rebel," Thanoside cursed maliciously.

"You're right, but I'm a conceptual god. Even if some of my subordinates harbor ill intentions towards me, I won't be like you, throwing my lair into chaos the moment a problem arises."

Duva casually pointed in a direction, which was the direction of Apokolips.

When news of Thanoside's battle with a rival alien god spread throughout the universe, Apokolips erupted in chaos.

The rules of the game on Apokolips are actually very similar to those in Hell: whoever has the biggest fist is the boss.

The battle between Mephisto and Thanoside unleashed unrest throughout the universe, and it made the ruthless forces within that universe realize that Thanoside had encountered a formidable opponent and might be doomed this time.

Forget about it. Duva's group consisted of three. Sanoside already struggled against one, so if he were to face three, wouldn't he be doomed?

The outcome confirmed their suspicions: the invincible Sanoside had fallen, giving some individuals an opportunity to stir up trouble.

But even if they were to stir up trouble, all the gods watched Duva's every move with trepidation, wondering what this foreign god would do now that he had triumphed. How should they react?

Should they surrender immediately, or unite to wage a divine war?

These few gods didn't even understand the meaning of Sanoside's current behavior. Clearly defeated, yet suddenly free.

Most bizarrely, the arrogant Sanoside, upon regaining his freedom, seemed subdued and never attacked Duva again. This was unnatural.

"It's like he's been brainwashed, but is that even possible? I've never seen a Sanoside with such a tough mouth, yet such a shrewd mind."

Some gods murmured nervously, trying to discern Duva's next move.

But Duva simply led the seemingly obedient Sanoside to Earth.

And nothing happened, leaving the gods bewildered.

"Is that all? He sent a god of an unknown race to defeat Sanoside, perhaps even reached some kind of agreement with him—from that point of view, he might have conquered him—and then stayed on Earth? Recovering from his injuries?"

"With no signs of conquering the universe, no signs of challenging us old men, what on earth could he be trying to achieve by coming to our universe?"

  The gods were baffled.

Earth's superheroes were also bewildered, even more panicked than the gods themselves.

It was as if a herd of prehistoric behemoths had infiltrated their home, their immensity so great that a single movement could overturn the house. All hope of survival depended on the feelings of these beasts.   "

Ooo   ...     "When are you going to turn me into an alien? My replica will surely be stronger than your two."   "No such plans,"   Sanoside said with a sneer. "Although I haven't personally witnessed the legions you've assembled in other universes, don't mistake me for those you've parasitized. I'll definitely find a chance to rebel, and you'll be doomed."   "Many have said so, but they all serve me without exception. I don't care if they insult me or rebel against me behind my back, as long as they carry out the mission I assign perfectly." Duval walked on Earth, surrounded by a crowd of desperate and terrified superheroes staring at him from afar, ready for a desperate fight.   "I can tolerate your betrayal, but I absolutely cannot tolerate your incompetence. Get it done, and everything will be fine. Fail and hinder my progress, and you'll be doomed."   Duval desperately wanted to improve.   For someone so ambitious, having gradually completed the transformation from human to god, even slow progress was an unbearable torture.   "Now, it's time to get down to business."   Duval glanced at Thanoside, who was constantly resisting. He planned to take this guy to the DC multiverse. After all, he was a broken version of Darkseid, and maybe he would be useful in the future.   Now, what is more important than Thanoside is the combination of Captain America and Superman, the Super Soldier.   This guy has fragments of the two universes before the birth of Universe 9602 in his body.   One is a fragment of the Marvel Universe, and the other is a fragment of the DC Universe.   Getting the fragments means that Duval has grasped a part of the two multiverses, even if this part is so insignificant, but for a conceptual god, no matter how small it is, it doesn't matter, as long as it really exists.

  Chapter 191: Entering DC.

The Hyperion alien, carrying the super soldier, approached Duval.

This time, it finally let go of the super soldier, throwing the battered, unrecognizable creature in front of Duval.

"That's pathetic! Your head is swollen twice as much. If it weren't for the red shorts you were wearing and the shattered shield, I wouldn't have recognized you." Duval looked at the guy with some regret.

"Your men are strong, perhaps you're even stronger. Who knows? I suspect you, the superior, are actually quite weak, relying entirely on unknown means to control these men, such as curses, magic, and mind control."

The Super Soldier struggled to speak clearly. "But whatever your plans, don't try to defeat me with violence. This injury is nothing. I'll heal quickly—I can fight you all day!"

"I get it, I get it. It's incredibly awkward to hear the same line coming from you. A true Superman wouldn't need to fight all day, let alone spend so much time repairing his injuries. A few seconds is enough to completely heal a wound like yours," Duvall said.

"I'm not the Superman you're talking about, and I don't recognize my parallel universe self at all."

The Super Soldier desperately absorbed solar radiation, feeling noticeably better, his head less enlarged. He raised his hand, signaling the heroes in the distance not to do anything foolish. Charging forward would be a death sentence, and besides proving his courage, it served no purpose.

He realized he couldn't even defeat the weakest monster. How could he face the monster that had defeated Sanoside? And how could he defeat Duva?

Even more terrifying, Sanoside remained calm, seemingly subservient to this alien god. This was what puzzled the Super Soldier most.

"The master of Apokolips would surrender out of fear of death. I regret it. I should have agreed to Steel Lantern's plan and led Earth's heroes to attack Apokolips, instead of passively defending and waiting for you to attack us."

The Super Soldier tried to goad Sanoside. If there was a chance of joining forces with Sanoside to defeat Duva, there might be a slight chance of a turning point.

The Super Soldier was not one to give up easily. He would grasp at even the smallest hope, believing that through willpower and courage, miracles could always be achieved.

But Sanoside's face remained sullen. The Super Soldier had no idea how hard Sanoside was fighting, and was forced to accept a futile outcome.

But the Super Soldier understood immediately. His expression changed after sensing the sudden emergence of a living being within his body.

Instantly, he understood Sanoside's predicament and realized that once the being in his chest had completed its parasitism, it would control everything about him.

Subconsciously, the Super Soldier tried to control his muscles and internal organs, attempting to crush the newly born, still relatively weak being to death. But the Hyperion Alien attacked again, swirling its tail at superluminal speed, swiftly tapping the Super Soldier's chest, destroying all possibility of controlling his own body.

  Undoubtedly, the Super Soldier would

suffer the same fate as Sanoside. "Good, it seems I didn't overreact to anyone." Duval carefully sensed the situation for a moment, confirming that no other changes had occurred in this universe.

According to his information, the reseparation of Universe 9602 from the hybrid universe into two independent universes was an inevitable outcome. Those few discerning individuals who knew the secrets of the universe had been preparing for this future separation.

The cosmic fragments within the Super Soldier's body were intended to ensure the stability of the two newly formed universes when Universe 9602 split again.

After completely controlling the Super Soldier, Duval reached out and merged directly into the Super Soldier's body, retrieving two tiny points of light.

With super-vision, one could see numerous planets within these two points of light, but no signs of life.

"What is this? What have you done to me?" the Super Soldier himself was stunned.

"This is a valuable asset, a safety key I desperately need," Duval said with a smile, taking the two cosmic fragments for himself.

If Universe 9602 were left to develop freely, it was unknown when it would split from the hybrid universe into two normal universes.

Since Duval had participated, he would delay the split as much as possible and establish Universe 9602 as his transit base.

Of course, this transit base did not entail the complete transformation of all the billions of lives in Universe 9602 into alien forms, as he had done with Universe 1543681 or Mephisto's Inferno.

Perhaps Duval would do so someday, but not now.

The creators of Universe 9602 were the Living Tribunal of the Marvel Multiverse and the Spectre of the DC Multiverse. Neither of these entities was Duval's current strength.

Completely controlling Universe 9602 would be a massive undertaking and, for now, pointless.

But they could still do something. The Living Tribunal and the Spectre were the creators of this universe, not its caretakers.

Duval's seizure of the cosmic fragment from the super-soldier was only the beginning.

He immediately launched his next move: to obtain the "portal" that had existed since the birth of this hybrid universe.

"Sure enough, this guy understands the uniqueness of our world," said Doctor Strange Fate, observing everything.

While he initially hesitated to draw conclusions, careful observation of Duval's actions confirmed his conviction that Duval was seeking that very object.

"They captured Clark Kent alive, retrieved the fragment hidden within Clark's body, and now they want that portal... This guy wants to travel to another multiverse! But how does he know the secrets of this universe? Even a cosmic overlord like Thanoside doesn't know about the existence of cosmic fragments and portals!"

Doctor Strange Fate instantly vanished from the spot, teleporting himself to a dark, abandoned alley.

This was a derelict area where even homeless people wouldn't venture, filled with all sorts of worthless, aged junk.

"A smart move, hiding the portal in a place like this, and setting up some surveillance arrays further away to minimize the possibility of exposure. Hiding it in a high-rise building or a temple would only attract the attention of troublemakers."

Sure enough, Duval had already arrived, carrying a glowing, torn cardboard box.

If Duval hadn't precisely unearthed this thing, it would have been mixed in with the other garbage, forever remaining unnoticed.

Dr. Strange Fate fell silent. He truly didn't know how to interact with a god who was already mysterious and terrifying, yet also intimately acquainted with the secrets of the universe.

"How did you know this? Ever since Access hid the portal, no one should have discovered it," Dr. Strange Fate's voice was dry.

"Your tone betrays your feelings. There's no need to be frustrated or regretful, let alone regretting not guarding the portal properly. You and I both know you did your best."

Duval looked down at the glowing cardboard box, then up at Doctor Strange Fate.

"Are you planning to do the same to me? Turn me into something like Thanoside and the Super Soldier? Or perhaps even make me something resembling those two monsters?"

"I'm not interested in you. To be more precise, I have absolutely no interest in ripping open the chest of a magical being like you, even though you're somewhat special and have made some progress on the path of destiny."     Duval left, carrying the glowing cardboard box, passing Dr. Strange Fate like a stranger.

Even that simple act made Dr. Strange Fate break into a sweat, as if he had brushed past death.

  Duval's figure vanished from sight.

"What a madman! Is the existing multiverse outside insufficient to satiate his appetite? Or has he become so powerful that even the familiar multiverse can no longer accommodate him, forcing him to venture into yet another vast world?"

Dr. Strange Fate felt a deep sense of helplessness. Access had left the portal, but he, the one charged with protecting it, was powerless to do anything.

He watched as the entire Earth was about to fall under Duval's rule.

But there was still a chance to change all this.

"Neither time nor fate can inflict a fatal blow on a god of this caliber. I can't do it. But if this guy ventured into another multiverse, he might die there..."

Doctor Strange Fate put himself in the shoes of a god from another multiverse, sensing the intrusion of an outsider, perhaps he'd be interested. A

god of that caliber would surely be more powerful than someone like Duva, who needed one. Even if they were fighting on home turf, killing Duva would have the opportunity to reverse the disaster Duva unleashed on Universe 9602.

  Meanwhile,

"Some who have guessed what I'm going to do are constantly hoping for my death in another multiverse. It's a perfectly reasonable assumption,"

Duva remarked casually as he conducted various tests on the portal, holding the glowing cardboard box.

His audience consisted of the Super Soldier and Sanoside.

"It would be best if you died in another world, but before you die, you must tell me how you can cross universes." Sanoside offered Duva a sincere blessing.

"I can't die. Even if some bored multiverse entity were to attack me, at most they could injure me severely, but they wouldn't be able to completely kill me. They can't cross from one multiverse to another and completely wipe me out. And..."

  Duval chuckled, not explaining further.

Those confined to a single universe find it difficult to comprehend the constant emergence of countless new concepts in the multiverse.

There are so many chaotic new concepts, so many that few gods would be bothered to spare the time to examine them.

Only when certain concepts grow and reach a certain level might they attract the attention of powerful gods.

In this case, Duval can simply open a portal and sneak through. As long as he doesn't recklessly expose himself as a single-universe god, an alien conceptual entity, upon entering, and doesn't directly attract the attention of multiverse-level gods, he's likely safe.

"Alright, that's all. With the cosmic fragment in hand and the shuttle portal in hand."

Duval was finally ready to travel to the DC multiverse. He'd been preparing for this moment for so long.

But before leaving, Duval glanced at the Earth beneath his feet.

Universe 9602 needs to be properly modified.

"What do you want to do? Why aren't you leaving?" The super soldier growled, a sense of foreboding rising within him, his body completely immobilized.

"I will bestow a boon upon this world," Duva declared, and he began generously sharing his power.

Meanwhile, Dark Claw was organizing forces around the world, preparing to establish a resistance army, vowing to resist Duva to the bitter end without compromise.

"Immediately activate the doomsday plan, codenamed 'Dark Sun.' Although the enemy isn't the anticipated Apocalypse, and Earth appears peaceful, unfortunately, we still face the threat of extinction..."

Dark Claw was issuing orders, mobilizing a large number of superheroes. But as Duva's concept unfolded, he spoke without a word, extending his claws and performing a thoracotomy on himself, extracting the alien larva.

His skill was so refined that he didn't even injure the larva, but he soon realized it was useless, as a new larva suddenly emerged from his chest, integrating his genes at an even faster rate.

Similar events unfolded around the world, with numerous superheroes falling prey to the trick, becoming the coordinates and anchor points for Duva's location of Universe 9602.

  Duva was finally satisfied.

Instantly, the cardboard box began to expand, eventually converging into a golden portal.

Entering from one side, one could reach the DC Multiverse; from the other, the Marvel Multiverse.

This was Universe 9602's greatest secret, and for a conceptual god like Duva, it was also its most valuable possession.

After a moment's hesitation, Duva had Mephisto temporarily guard Universe 9602. With his sheer power, he was enough to intimidate the entire universe and fully capable of defending the portal.

After all, if Duva truly needed him at DC, Mephisto could always rush over.

As for the Super Soldier and Hyperion, they served as his attendants, accompanying him.

Duva stepped into the portal, taking in the rapidly expanding concepts and rules of the DC Multiverse and the receding concepts and rules of the Marvel Multiverse.

It felt like eons, yet also like a fleeting moment.

Duval had already passed through the portal and stepped onto the ground of another world.

"Even I don't know where to land, let me see..."

Duval immediately determined his location as soon as he entered DC.

Chapter 192: Do You Also Enjoy the Battle Between Humans and Gods?

Different multiverses have different gameplay styles.

Take the DC Multiverse, for example. Like the Marvel Multiverse, it's equally vast, home to numerous multiverse-level gods, and its sheer size is staggering.

However, there are many differences from the Marvel Multiverse, the most fundamental of which is that universe numbering isn't prevalent in the DC Universe.

Initially, Duvall went to great lengths to secure a universe number for his universe within the Marvel Multiverse, simply to join the ranks of the canonical Marvel Universe, to escape the trap of being a "wild card" or "background figure," and to lay the foundation for his future plans.

In the DC Multiverse, things are different. In the regular multiverse, universes are officially numbered only up to 52.

However, the number of universes within the regular multiverse far exceeds 52, meaning many universes lack dedicated numbers.

For example, the animated universe and the Dark Knight Trilogy universe all exist, but they lack dedicated numbers and are not considered part of the 52 universes.

The universe Duvall has now arrived in is precisely one without a number.

He didn't mind the fact that this universe wasn't numbered, that it wasn't better; it meant he could keep a low profile and quickly establish himself here. He

wouldn't be targeted by bored individuals eager to explore the implications of this newly emerged concept the moment he appeared.

Duva wasn't afraid of any challenge below the multiverse level, but now, spanning a multiverse, he couldn't instantly amplify his concepts to their previous peaks. Facing a single, all-powerful opponent would be a real challenge,

  but that was all.

He might suffer a minor setback, but no one could kill him. To put it bluntly, even a multiverse-level god couldn't personally kill Duva.

Only someone so relentless as to pursue Duva to the Marvel Multiverse and wipe out all the aliens in every universe could truly slay him.

However, if it truly reached that point, a massive collision between the main worlds of the two multiverses, triggering a Justice League vs. Avengers-level event, would be nothing to worry about. A war between the two multiverses would inevitably ignite. No native deities of any major world could sit idly by and watch the gods of another world do whatever they pleased.

"Is this the parallel world you've been dreaming of? It seems no different from ours, even many of the cosmic rules are remarkably similar."

Sanoside arrived here, following Duva. His landing triggered an earthquake, and with a rumbling sound, the ground caved in.

This was because Duva had forced him to deliberately suppress his own strength; otherwise, he would have blasted the planet beneath him with a single ray.

Sanoside was, after all, a top god of Universe 9602. Even though Duva had forcibly abducted him to the DC Universe, he still possessed basic divine powers and the speed with which he could interpret cosmic information.

The Super Soldier was far inferior, requiring his supersight and superhearing to understand this world.

"It's exactly the same, there's absolutely no difference. It's the same 21st century, but the technology here seems a bit behind."

The Super Soldier retracted his gaze, glaring at Duva with resentment. "I don't even see enough superheroes on this planet. This universe is far inferior to ours. You clearly have the ability to conquer our universe, so why did you go to such lengths to come to a place like this? What's your conspiracy?"

"Because this is the future. This universe hasn't reached its peak yet, and even if it did, it probably wouldn't be that strong. Your Hybrid Universe 9602 is special. This is the first fusion of two multiverses," Duva said.

Sanoside grinned. "According to you, half of me has an equivalent in this universe, right? I can't wait to find that guy and crush his head."

"Oh? Really motivated! It seems you've completely adapted to your current role and are determined to make great contributions to Duva." The Super Soldier regarded Sanoside coldly.

In short, neither Duva nor Sanoside were good people.

Sanoside sneered, "Aren't you the same? Powerless to resist, only a cold, thinking machine obeying his orders? And do you really need me to explain this? I killed that Darkseid, and I'll have the chance to seize divine power and enhance my own strength. One day, I'll be free of Duval. What about you? What gives you the right? Are you going to kill your parallel universe self too? Useless trash, get out of here!"

Sanoside slapped the super soldier, sending him flying like a cannonball, blasting through a mountain with a boom.

"It's good that you two are so warm to each other. I hope you'll be just as warm when you fight the natives here."

Duval glanced into the distance. Some passing cars, having heard the commotion, were heading in that direction. They suddenly lifted their feet and disappeared in an instant.

A group of curious citizens drove over, marveled at the cave appearing in the mountain, and took out their cameras.

The news made the newspapers of many cities, but ultimately, it didn't cause much of a stir.

  Only a few people noticed.

"Strange loud noises in Montana, and a strange tunnel piercing the mountain?"

A billionaire was reading the newspaper. Normally, he would have chosen a more efficient way to obtain information—through a supercomputer and the Butler, but using the newspaper to conceal his public identity was a rare way to relax.

"Why are you so focused on these things? Speaking of which, you've been documenting supernatural events around the world lately. Perhaps you should share your thoughts. I may be old, but at least I'm not someone like Scarecrow or Two-Face who will only cause you trouble."

The faithful butler, Alfred, placed a cup of brewed coffee in front of Bruce. "This is the best coffee, perfectly warm. It would be a shame not to drink it while it's hot."

The casual movement of the coffee strained his clothes, bringing out the muscles in his arms.

Alfred was also a retired soldier and quite capable in combat.

Even Bruce Wayne didn't know how skilled he was. In fact, he hoped Alfred would never have the opportunity to fight in person. It meant that Alfred was always in a safe environment, which was a good thing.

"Superhumans have always existed throughout human history. Laws that apply to most people rarely have sufficient force on these creatures." Bruce picked up his coffee, enjoying one of his rare moments of quiet reflection.

Alfred smiled faintly. "Isn't this perfectly normal? While ordinary people are arrested for fighting, superhumans barely even warm up to a fight. They don't even think they should pay the price for punching an ordinary person with enough force to kill him without causing any damage."

One of the great benefits of modern technology is that we can more frequently and scientifically observe rare but real phenomena from past history.

This gives the illusion that the total number of superhumans is constantly increasing.

This principle obviously doesn't apply to the Marvel multiverse, because Marvel has its own mutant community, and there's no telling which teenager might suddenly awaken the X-gene and become a superhuman.

"So, sir, are you planning to send someone to investigate those strange caves in Montana? Or are you going there yourself?"     "If I have time, I'll go there myself. Look here, there are two deep pits near the mountainside, as if they were crushed by something incredibly heavy, but there's no other trace of anything around them."

Bruce pointed to a picture in the newspaper and opened the computer in front of him, calling up the Wayne Group's satellite for precise footage.

"Do you know what this means, Alfred?"

"It means something large appeared here, but then vanished. Perhaps it teleported, or even flew. But I don't think our satellite captured it at the time," Alfred said.

Clearly, Bruce agreed with the old butler's point.

He folded the newspaper, and if you looked closely, you'd be amazed to see that each fold was perfectly aligned, as if measured with a ruler.

This demonstrated Bruce's incredible muscle control.

Alfred smiled and put the newspaper away, not giving anyone the chance to get their hands on it, lest anyone with ulterior motives discover it.

This was the job of a loyal butler, doing things smoothly and avoiding any risks.

"For now, we'll file this incident and search for any suspicious individuals. But that's not my primary objective; Superman is!"

Bruce headed straight for the Batcave, ready for a new round of training.

Defeating Superman would prove humanity's superiority, that humanity was capable of handling Earth's affairs, and not letting an alien dictate them.

To quell a disaster by causing even greater destruction, to save a few at the cost of even more casualties, was truly cruel.

"It's difficult to defeat Superman, even with that strange stone," Alfred continued, dissuading Batman from this adventure. "LexCorp must have a conspiracy by giving you that stone."

"I know they have their own agenda, nothing more than to provoke a war between humans and gods. But Lex Luthor and I agree on one thing: humanity should handle its own affairs, and Earth's affairs shouldn't be decided by an alien. The battle between Superman and Zod is truly..."

Bruce trailed off, removing his shirt to reveal his razor-sharp muscles. Countless scars adorned his skin, ever-so-slightly changing shape with each training session, like a grimace in the darkness.

Batman once again pushed his physical limits.

He was, after all, mortal. He had the ability to develop all sorts of drugs, serums, and other technological feats, but he had never done so, insisting on fighting as a fully human being.

Ordinary people couldn't endure this kind of training regimen, teetering on the brink of complete physical and mental collapse. But for Bruce, it was a valuable tool for improvement.

Everything was centered around defeating Superman.

Bruce Wayne couldn't wait to tear off Superman's invincible disguise with his own hands and knock him to the ground. Maybe he would ask at that time, "Can you bleed?"

  ...

"It's confirmed that this is the DCEU, the DC Extended Universe, which is also the movie world."

Duva thoroughly confirmed his location and knew why there were no numbers here.

Batman has already created files on superhumans around the world and is preparing for a battle with Superman.

To be honest, the dominance displayed by DCEU Batman is not strong.

But it doesn't matter. Duva just wants to develop peacefully and sincerely bring more people into his sphere of influence.

"If Burbank were here, he would probably rush out at the first moment and spread the word about the alien cult..."

This thought suddenly popped up in Duva's mind, and then he chuckled.

Gradually, as Earth's elite circles focused their attention on Superman and Batman, they gradually learned that Batman was going to challenge Superman—this was no secret, not

to mention the outspoken Lex Luthor, fanning the flames like the end of the world. Although many knew Lex Luthor's goal was to enter General Zod's spaceship and gain access to study his body,

this was all obvious. Anyone with any talent would be just as interested in Superman as they were in the bodies of Kryptonians.

Everyone was equally curious about whether Batman, the "strongest, purest human," could defeat Superman.

Under these circumstances, the alien population began to rapidly expand. The first to suffer were the animals, who vanished silently.

Then came the hopeless, destitute, and desperate people of the lower classes, especially those who lacked the fortitude to overcome their relentless pursuit of low-level dopamine.

"It's like a new cycle. I did the same thing in Universe 1543681, and it quickly swept the entire world. No one or god could stop me."

Duva stood in front of a leaky window, looking at the deserted street outside.

Even though he was already a god, he was an unbelievably young god. He had not been tempered by billions or tens of billions of years of experience, and he retained some of the habits of an ordinary person.

  For example, drinking boiled water.

The boiling water and the rising steam made Duva happy.

Once he was happy, and without any deliberate self-restraint, many aliens passively accepted Duva's joy.

"What a wonderful creature! I've only been observing it for a few hours, and I'm already fascinated by it."

A figure walked in: "What surprised me even more is that the owners of these creatures actually have the same habits as me, waiting for a war between humans and gods."

Chapter 193: If I continue to behave this way, how will Superman and Batman respond?

According to the DC multiverse's intelligence scale, Batman's intelligence reaches level 9, while Lex Luthor's reaches level 12, the pinnacle of the multiverse, crushing most higher gods.

But this doesn't mean that Luthor is truly impeccable, as if he's read the script, knowing the past and the future, and will never make a mistake or fail.

Furthermore, Luthors in different universes vary in intelligence, and there are many Luthors who have died in a confused manner, like background characters.

For example, the DCEU's Lex Luthor had the audacity to approach Duval. In Duval's eyes, this was a mistake.

"You made a mistake. You shouldn't have approached me so rashly. Perhaps you think the slight risk is insignificant compared to the potential gains."

Duval poured himself a cup of boiling water in front of the visitor, the simmering water making the visitor's eyelids flutter.

"I'm truly sorry to have to speak to you this way, but this is the safest option I can think of—I won't be coming myself, so I'll have to arrange for a megaphone. I considered cloning myself to communicate with you, but ultimately decided against it. Current cloning technology isn't perfect, and it would take me a while."

The man before Duval was merely a tool; the one operating his communication device was Luthor.

"And what you lack most right now is time. Why have you come to me, an unknown individual?" Duval smiled, his mood high. While gathering strength in the DC universe, interacting with the locals was a leisurely endeavor.

"You seem to know me well, but I've searched the world and haven't found anyone like you, let alone any information on those little cuties out there. It's as if you just appeared out of thin air. Even if you're conducting biological experiments, you need basic lab space, equipment, and genetic samples. Especially as a researcher, you can't just acquire knowledge for nothing. You definitely need to learn."

But Luthor couldn't find any of these.

"Aliens, those are the names of these little creatures. As for me, you can call me... God," Duval said slowly.

Far away in Lex Tower, Luther couldn't tell whether Duval was telling the truth.

  It was too absurd.

The impending battle between humans and gods hadn't even begun, and a mysterious, unknown species had suddenly appeared out of nowhere. The one commanding these monsters claimed to be a god?

Intelligent people have a wonderful trait: they tend to question everything, but they won't easily deny it. This allows them to discover the truth of the world from various perspectives.

Luther was about to say something, but the next second, the unfortunate creature he had sent out had his head removed.

  "...Dead? That's even stranger."

Luther hid in his safe house.

It was undoubtedly the most advanced safe house in the world, equipped with countless high-tech equipment.

Every second, Luther's brain was calculating something more complex than all the computers in the world, mulling over various possibilities. He watched Duval's expressions and movements in the video over and over again.

"Not a single micro-expression. Just like a robot in human skin. Either he's not human at all, or..."

Luther recalled all the information he had gathered about the Alien, his mind filled with a dense web of three-dimensional models.

He had already analyzed the Alien's characteristics, knowing that it was a creature capable of acquiring the host's superior genes.

"Whether their chests were broken or not... If I'm not mistaken, even those whose chests remained intact, seemingly instantly becoming normal superhumans, were actually controlled by that mysterious figure."

Luther had already mastered the Alien's basic characteristics. He even collected some Alien saliva and confirmed that the substance flowing from its mouth was pure water.

Luther recalled the scene of Duval drinking the boiling water.

"It can withstand high temperatures, can steal the host's superior genes, and its numbers are not a problem... It's truly a wonderful creature. We still don't know the upper limit of the Alien's power. Since it can transform ordinary people into superhumans, with all its physical indicators skyrocketing, it means the Alien's own genes are extremely powerful and can be shared with its host."

Lex Luthor naturally thought of a possibility.

What would happen if this thing infected Superman as well?

Either it would fail from the start, the alien unable to penetrate Superman's body, or even if it did, Superman would easily kill it.

Or was there a chance of success?

"Even if it fails, it doesn't matter. The upper limit of the alien isn't my upper limit. I can definitely cultivate stronger aliens. Then, no matter what level of creature, alien, or monster, it will be nothing."

Intelligent people share a common trait: self-confidence, a belief in their ability to achieve what others cannot. This was

especially true for Luthor. His mind was originally preoccupied with provoking a fight between Batman and Superman, then exploiting the opportunity to unlock the secrets of the Kryptonians, to prove humanity's superiority.

But the opportunity to completely control Superman, or even to gain even greater power than Superman, would be far more valuable than simply defeating him.

"But there's something about that self-proclaimed god that's making me unsure... Logically, he shouldn't be engaging in friendly conversation with me, only to kill the men I sent after just a few words."

No matter how clever Luthor was, he'd never have guessed that Duval was a conceptual god from another multiverse, whose power at its peak was the strongest in the multiverse.

This was simply a product of his own perception. Luthor, still untouched by the mysteries of cosmic events, couldn't imagine what a god truly was.

In the eyes of the world, Superman was already a god, a god on earth.

Perhaps even Diana of Thessaloniki could be included? But she was at most a demigod. Only Zeus himself could provide Luthor with more reliable information.

  ...

"Although it's a different multiverse, Luthor's choices won't be much different. Now he should be planning how to acquire the aliens."

  Duval fully understood Luthor's ambitions.

After all, these creatures can directly steal the host's best genes, transforming into even more powerful forms to achieve transcendence. Earthlings envy the Kryptonians' might. The emergence of these numerous aliens at this critical juncture is the ultimate weapon some would crave, the kind they wouldn't trade for even a hundred rounds of Big Ivan.

In reality, Superman already possesses the Codex of Life, possessing the most complete genetic makeup in Krypton's history.

As long as Luthor's mind is intact, he'd undoubtedly envision the possibility of an alien parasitizing Superman, either controlling him or simply blasting his way out, thereby creating a weapon even more powerful than Superman.

Especially at this point in time, Luthor was already preparing to use Kryptonian biotechnology and General Zod's corpse to cause trouble.

Duval briefly considered sending Luthor an alien to see what tricks he could pull off. He wasn't too worried about Luthor losing control, but if he could seize control of the alien, it would be the ultimate insult to Duval, the conceptual god.     This universe's Luthor lacked the ability or opportunity to acquire the power of a multiverse-level being.

Duval wasn't in a hurry; he'd already pinpointed Luthor's location.

With a simple thought, Duval would complete his parasitism.

"I'm looking forward to that guy's performance... But conquering this universe, amassing sufficient power before Darkseid's clones or any of the other multiverse's incarnations truly take notice, is the real priority."

Duval maintained a calm demeanor, watching the two protagonists—Batman and Superman—as if toying with an ant.

  ...

  Everything unfolded as planned.

Except for Superman himself, everyone else was eager for this battle.

Even Batman, the challenger, prepared his carefully prepared kryptonite weapons, ready to clash with Superman, eager to prove that man was stronger than god.

The deserted streets were drenched in a torrential downpour.

The icy raindrops pounded against their bodies, sapping precious warmth and chilling them to the bone. Even breathing became a luxury.

But neither Batman nor Superman took any of this to heart.

"Bruce, calm down. We've all been tricked. It's Lex Luthor! This is all a conspiracy! He wants us to fight!"

Superman shouted as he landed, trying to stop the fight that shouldn't have broken out.

"Don't use cheap talk to cover up the inevitability of this fight." Batman, wearing an exoskeleton armor, took heavy steps, accompanied by bursts of thumping, as he walked towards Superman.

"I really don't understand. What are you thinking?" Superman was furious. He couldn't understand Batman's thoughts.

He knew Batman was very intelligent, perhaps no less intelligent than him, who had a super brain, but why did he jump into this battle that was obviously a trap?

Was it really that important for him, as a human, to defeat this alien?

Superman was restless, desperate to save his adopted mother and lover. "I'm not a villain, not a criminal. I was raised by humans, and ever since, I've strived to protect humanity..."

"Protection? You call the devastation you've unleashed and the even more devastation you've caused protection? Do you know how many people you killed in that battle with Zod? You can't even count how many buildings collapsed!"

Batman stepped in front of Superman, his armor's eyepieces glowing in the darkness. "People like you shouldn't have been on Earth in the first place. The way you pride yourself on protecting humanity is completely unnecessary for humanity. Humanity is far more powerful than a mortal god like you!"

Batman himself had killed many—the DCEU Batman was no scapegoat, never one to play the "no kill" game, always killing when necessary—but the number of people he'd killed in his lifetime wouldn't even be a fraction of Superman's.

Just look at Superman and Zod's fight. In just one round, those two crippled a building. How many people did they indirectly kill with just one move?

Humanity doesn't need such an ugly guardian, and neither does the Earth.

Humanity's problems should be solved by humanity itself.

Superman closed his eyes in agony, stretched out his hand, and with a gentle push, he pushed Batman seven or eight meters away.

"Bruce! The gap between you and me is vast. You're no match for me! We should unite and thwart Luthor's scheme..."

Superman struggled to control his temper, attempting to convey goodwill through the logic of "I'm far superior to you, so it would only take a moment to kill you, but I won't." See, I'm strong, patient, and actively "showing weakness." Isn't that the ultimate sincerity?

  But this utterly enraged Batman.

Above ground, various machine guns, long-prepared, emerged from the earth and opened fire on Superman.

As expected, they couldn't even harm Superman.

But when Batman unleashed his kryptonite weapon, things changed. It was his turn to pummel Superman.

"What a spectacular duel! A human can even defeat a god. It took some trickery, but it's still a remarkable achievement."

Everyone was watching the battle, the sky dotted with satellites.

But Luthor would periodically glance down at his tablet, scrutinizing the screen. With a swipe of his finger, he switched to another interface.

Then, carrying his high-alloy box, he entered the Kryptonian ship, activated the artificial intelligence, and opened the box.

  Inside was a severed tail.

It was a small section of an alien's tail.

He had lost several soldiers to obtain it.

  "Kryptonian..."

Luthor stroked his chin again, observing Zod's corpse. After a brief hesitation, he immediately began typing commands into the Kryptonian ship's computer.

"Warning! This is a serious violation of Kryptonian law..."

The entire ship sounded an alarm, but the key Luthor had obtained from Superman had supreme authority, so the warning had no effect on him.

"Hehehe, let me see, if we throw aside all morals and laws and simply amplify the power of technology to the extreme, what kind of monster will be created... Zod's genetic level, is it a high-level gene? It doesn't matter, we will know the result soon."

Luther scratched his long hair, put his hands on his hips, looked at General Zod in front of him, thought for a while, and carefully picked up the alien's tail.

Although he had already released the highly corrosive blood in advance and froze this section of the tail at the first time to minimize the loss, Luther still maintained the highest vigilance.

If it weren't for the confirmation that the alien was not like a snake, with low-level nerve centers all over its body, this section of the tail would not suddenly jump up and cut his throat.

"Hehehe, first this way, then this way... This is interesting, plus my research, although the time is short, it should be enough..."

Chapter 194: Diana is a supporting character; the real action is here

. Superman never imagined he'd lose.

Nor did he imagine that a substance so powerful could exist in this world.

First, a kryptonite smoke bomb, then a terrifying kryptonite spear.

Superman was defeated, beaten by the mortal Batman. He could feel his cells dying en masse from the kryptonite.

If only it were daytime; under the sun, perhaps cells would regenerate faster than the stone could kill them. Superman felt his death coming, and this thought crossed his mind.

"You're nothing special. Humanity is greater than you."

Batman's eyes gleamed fiercely, and he, kryptonite spear in hand, was about to kill Superman.

As mentioned before, the DCEU Batman doesn't have a creed against killing, but at least at this moment, his murderous intent towards Superman was genuine.

  "Martha..."

"What, why did you yell that name!!"

  "You want to save Martha..."

"I'm asking why you yelled that name!!"

Duvall watched the scene from afar, still feeling a little uneasy.

This would have been a blast across the entire DC multiverse.

Duvall watched the two men, their hatred for Martha put aside, and decide to join forces to take on Lex Luthor.

"Luthor's already making clear moves. He's got some ideas, but unfortunately, mine are superior." Duvall crossed his fingers, patiently awaiting Luthor's spectacular performance.

Luthor was truly eager to showcase his work of art to the world.

It was a product of Kryptonian biotechnology pushed to its limits.

"Luthor, you will pay for your actions!"

Superman, barely regaining some strength, flew angrily to the top of a building, his eyes glowing red, his heat vision ready to blast.

Luthor spread his hands, then put his hands on his hips again. "Why, Clark Kent? Just because Batman nearly killed you a few minutes ago, you've now found your mother and rescued her? That's great, but you probably never knew I wasn't pinning my hopes on the hostages."

Luthor could accurately pronounce Superman's real name and even knew everything about his life.

Likewise, he knew Batman's true identity.

This was the fascinating thing about the DCEU; it was a completely different game from other universes, especially those with numbered characters.

In this universe, many superheroes' true identities were no secret, and heroes could call each other by their real names, not nicknames. There

was no chance of Batman removing his mask and revealing his true identity as Bruce Wayne to gain the trust of the other Justice League members. Luthor continued to ramble

, "You're Superman. You could kill me in an instant, just like you've killed all those innocent people in the past—but I know you won't. Now that you've confirmed your adoptive mother is safe, you need to prove to Batman that you're a genuine superhero, not just a murderer."

Superman looked at Luthor coldly. He wasn't in a hurry. His adoptive mother and girlfriend had been rescued; all that remained was to capture this madman and throw him into prison.

But Luthor clearly wasn't going to surrender, and Superman knew that, so he immediately looked at the giant, wriggling sphere behind him.

"Beautiful, isn't it? Like a fetal membrane nurturing a newborn. With a single, poof, new life will burst forth, becoming the world's nightmare."

Luthor clenched his hands, then suddenly opened them, solemnly articulating a vision with exaggerated gestures.

Superman stared intently at the unknown creature about to be born: "It won't be the world's nightmare, it will only be yours."

"No, no, no, do you think your super vision and super hearing mean you can always grasp everything? Have you forgotten how I managed to capture your adoptive mother when you weren't paying attention? Where you neglected, a whole new life form emerged, a life form that, in some ways, is simply perfect..."

Luthor hadn't finished his words when the massive fetal membrane behind him trembled, and a towering, pitch-black monster burst forth.

It was a creature resembling a black, hairless gorilla, with an ugly face and a massive build. There was

also an aura of terror that made Superman's face grim. More accurately, it was an extremely frenzied biological force field, directly exerting a heavy pressure on Superman's vital signs.

It's only just been born, how could it be so powerful?! What kind of monster is this?

Superman felt a vague sense of familiarity from this unrecognizable creature, as if he were facing a Kryptonian.

"Hahahaha, I spent so much effort on General Zod to transform his body to this level. Surprised? A son of Krypton?"

Luthor quickly dodged to the side.

Superman no longer cared about the creature. Luthor was only a mortal, after all. He could capture him anytime he wanted.

The key was to deal with the monster before him.

"Zod... are you using Kryptonian biotechnology?"

Superman looked at Doomsday, who was charging towards him, and punched him, sending the giant flying over a hundred meters.

An ordinary enemy would have been crippled by this blow.

But Doomsday was different. Freshly beaten, he roared in anger, and his wounds healed instantly. His skin grew even thicker. When he took a second blow, he actually withstood it head-on without a single break. This startled Superman, and his sense of danger surged.

"Adapt, this thing is adapting to your attack." Batman also flew over in a fighter plane and fired a series of missiles, but failed to cause any damage to Doomsday.

Although Doomsday was a newborn, he was at least an upgraded version of General Zod, and General Zod's strength was amazing. After a few days of sun exposure, he could fight against Superman who had been in the sun for decades.

Doomsday's eyes flashed with heat, and he destroyed Batman's fighter plane.

Batman jumped out immediately, holding the Kryptonite spear high and rushing over.

"Clark, since this works on you, it must work on this monster that also has Kryptonian genes!" Batman shouted.     Unfortunately, Batman was too weak. His exoskeleton had been severely damaged during his battle with Superman. He couldn't even withstand Doomsday's energy blast, let alone charge in with a kryptonite spear to engage Doomsday in a spectacular hand-to-hand combat.

But what if Superman were to hand the kryptonite spear to Doomsday?

That wouldn't work either. Superman would likely be killed by the spear before Doomsday fell.

Normally, this would require a metahuman who wasn't afraid of kryptonite and possessed combat abilities far superior to Batman's.

Such a person existed, but since the situation hadn't deteriorated to a critical point, she chose not to intervene immediately, instead maintaining a vigilant eye on the dangerous individual she had spotted.

"Ma'am, with the fighting going on over there, you're clearly more needed. Why are you targeting me?"

"Because compared to that Kryptonian monster, you're the more dangerous one... Don't think your actions are so secretive. I've already discovered what you and those weapons are doing."

Diana drew the Godslayer Sword, pointing the tip at the mysterious figure before her.

"Those creatures bear no trace of magic, so they must be biological weapons created through technological means, seeking out hosts and parasitizing them to quickly mature. And you are the mastermind behind these biological weapons," Diana said coldly. "Luthor is only the apparent danger. You, hiding behind the scenes with these even more dangerous weapons, waiting for an opportunity, are the real disaster that needs to be dealt with first."

"So? Are you determined to take care of me before Superman and Batman are killed by Doomsday?"

Duval had been watching the excitement from a distance, anticipating this rare spectacle.

But then Wonder Woman appeared, accusing him of being the greater evil.

But on second thought, perhaps that was indeed the case. The way the aliens grew and expanded their populations defied superheroes' expectations.

"Clark, Sanoside, which of you two is going to make a move?" Duval, completely ignoring Diana, casually addressed the two figures behind him.

"Don't you have another very powerful alien? Send it," Sanoside said coldly.

  "Clark?"

Diana gazed at the other burly man in disbelief. While their attire and equipment differed slightly, their facial features bore a resemblance.

"I don't want to go, but I don't seem to have a choice. Since you've made your decision, don't hypocritically ask for our opinion!"

The super soldier stepped forward, his face sullen. His body began to move uncontrollably, and he charged Diana.

The two immediately engaged in a fierce battle.

From the moment they engaged, Diana was stunned to discover that this man's abilities were identical to Superman's!

"You even have heat vision? And your name is Clark? What's going on? What's your relationship with Superman?!"

Diana almost wondered if Superman had a half-brother.

Facing the super soldier's powerful attacks, Diana could only passively defend herself.

Even with the Godslayer Sword in hand, she could only passively block Clark's punches.

The two clashed, the air continuously compressed, the ground dented, and the noise was deafening.

Finally, Diana seized her opportunity and managed to sling the Lasso of Truth around the super soldier's arm.

"Stranger, tell me your full name!" Diana shouted quickly.

"My name is... Clark Kent. And even if you don't use the Lasso of Truth, I'll answer your questions normally. I'm just unable to control my body, but my mouth is mine—for now," the super soldier said. "

Where are you from?" Diana asked at breakneck speed, just as the super soldier punched her in the stomach. Not even her golden armor could fully absorb the force.

The Super Soldier didn't immediately pursue, instead concentrating on tugging at the Lasso of Truth on his arm. "I come from Universe 9602. One half of me is the Superman you know. Duval said I couldn't match the real Superman, but from my observation, I'm stronger than him. Perhaps the Superman in this parallel universe is too weak."

Diana stood up, discarding the Lasso of Truth. She endured the excruciating pain, a horrific blow that felt like it had split her entire body in two. She raised the Godslayer Sword and slashed at the Super Soldier fiercely.

But the Super Soldier immediately threw out his Vibranium Shield, briefly blocking the Godslayer's blow. Then, with a sideways kick, he sent Diana flying dozens of meters.

He flew in front of Diana. "Is your next question about how I know you so well? I'm familiar with your artifacts and your combat techniques, because in Universe 9602, I have a teammate who's very similar to you in every way."

"Since you're the Superman of this parallel universe, you should be on my side, not a puppet controlled by that vicious demon! Remember who you are. If you're truly Clark Kent, you should have a kind heart..."

Diana screamed at the top of her lungs, trying to awaken the Super Soldier's psychic powers and resist Duval's control.

This was an extremely effective awakening method for a superhero with a heart devoted to the light.

"It's useless! I've tried the method you devised countless times in just a few seconds. It's useless."

The Super Soldier's eyes glowed red, and he was filled with grief. "I'm so sorry, I can't help myself... but I'm about to kill you." Puff

  !

Diana stood in the rubble, struggling to raise her arm and use her protective silver bracelet to block the attack.

But it only delayed her death.

At that moment, Diana's heart was filled with despair. She had originally intended to quickly dispatch a lurking bio-monster with malicious intent, then help Superman and Batman deal with the creature.

But she hadn't expected this to unfold. These creatures were from a parallel universe, and the leader even controlled that parallel Superman—a complete monster.

She'd fought tooth and nail, yet she couldn't even defeat a helpless "Clark." How powerful could the controller, who remained so impassive, be?

"I should try to kill the controller first. Maybe he's a mage skilled in mental magic." Feeling almost dead, Diana was filled with regret, ready for a desperate fight.

  Duval moved.

"Alright, enough playing house. Time for the real fun."

Duval's gaze was completely oblivious to Diana; he gazed with interest at another battlefield ahead.

Doomsday grew stronger, each burst of golden energy field signaling a new evolution.

Suffering attacks, adapting to attacks, becoming immune to attacks—this is the evolutionary path of biological weapons like Doomsday.
