Archer had his ears placed on David's door. He was sent for Zion's work, but he was not interested in that. He had to know why Journee was inside. And it hurt his heart to know that the poor girl was sick and hurt. He had no idea that she was hurt. He thought he protected her, but he was wrong.
"Oh, so much happened! I have to talk to him. I have to get his statement. I totally forgot!" Journee said. Archer could hear the annoyance in her voice.
"What statement?" asked David.
"Statement about his shooting. He was high on pain meds and couldn't answer any of our questions. I was thinking of calling him to the precinct. Well! That may be better," said Journee.
"Oh, right! The doctor might have to tell Journee about Zion being discharged. They need to take his statement. I totally forgot," Archer facepalmed.
"You really need to take a deep breath, Sergeant! So much is happening around you, and you don't even take a pause. You need to rest," said David.
