Chapter 182: Convincing
Kazuma looked at the other guard, he can clearly see the same confusion on their faces that he felt on his own. Whatever the visitors from earth had expected to accomplish by coming here, none of it was making immediate sense.
"Let us set aside the Danzo matter for now," said Kazuma, turning back to Raiken. "You have come a long way to be here. What is it you actually want to discuss with us?"
"Right, the best part," said Raiken without any buildup or hesitation. "We want to release Kaguya."
The silence that followed lasted approximately half a second before every Otsutsuki in the room activated their Byakugan simultaneously, the veins bulging around their eyes as their stances shifted into something that was very clearly not a welcoming posture and ready to fight them to the death.

Madara, standing slightly behind Raiken, took quiet note of the Byakugan activating to each of the guard and even the clan leader. The pale eyes with their expanded pupils were unmistakably similar to the Hyuga Clan back on earth, the same structure, the same characteristic veins. The connection between the two bloodlines was visible in a way that made the history Raiken had explained feel considerably more concrete.
"Everyone please calm down," said Raiken, raising both palms toward the other guard member. "We did not come here to start anything or any fight, I promise with Otsutsuki Honor."

"Releasing Kaguya is a threat to this earth and to everyone on it, including us," said Kazuma, he is serious while have no intention to be soft with Raiken. "If that is genuinely what you are proposing then you are going to need to go through all of us first."

He kept his eyes on Raiken though, genuinely curious about what move the man was going to make next in a situation that had escalated considerably faster than even he had anticipated.
"No, no, no," said Raiken quickly. "Peace, we came for peace, please deactivate the Byakugan."
"Then explain to me," said Kazuma slowly, "what releasing Kaguya has to do with peace. Because from where I am standing those two things have nothing to do with each other."
"Fair point," admitted Raiken. "Let me explain properly."
He took a breath and then laid it out plainly.
"There are other Otsutsuki coming to this earth. Kaguya was just the first Otsutsuki that we know, they are other dozens other Otsutsuki who might attack us directly. Otsutsuki members of the main clan who have been monitoring this planet from a distance and who intend to come and harvest it the same way they have harvested other worlds before this one. We found this out recently and we do not have enough information about them to prepare an adequate defense. Kaguya came from that clan. She knows things about them, their methods, their weaknesses, their patterns, that nobody currently alive on earth or on this moon has access to."

"There we go," said Raiken, now that nobody was on the immediate verge of attacking. "Our great great grandmother Otsutsuki Kaguya was not the only member of her clan to take an interest in this earth. Others came with her and others are still out there. If we do not deal with what is coming properly, the outcome for everyone on this planet, including the people living on this moon, is not something any of us want."
Kazuma was quiet for a moment, absorbing this new information alongside the others.
"What you are saying may be true," said Kazuma carefully. "But the problem remains, even if we accept your reasoning, how do you propose to contain Kaguya once she is free? She was a tyrant in the past and she had killed a great many people before Hagoromo and Hamura managed to seal her. Releasing her is not a small risk simply because the reason is good."

I have a method to limit her power after she is released, enough to make her manageable and enough to extract what we need from her without putting anyone at unnecessary risk."
Everyone become genuinely interested hearing Raiken answer, although Madara had heard from him before.
"How confident are you in that seal holding?" asked Kazuma.
