Watching the old man packing, an absurd thought sprang to his mind.
A god dies and births other creatures and gods? Why does this god's design feel like a rip-off of Pangu?
After thinking for a moment, Charles asked the old man again, "So, what is your god called now?"
"Pai Bo." It was another unfamiliar name.
"Do you have a statue of it here?"
Following the old man's finger, Charles saw a vicious worm twisted into the shape of a braid. Its terrifying and detestable appearance wasn't strange, but one detail struck Charles as very unexpected. The statue was split into two colors; half of it was black, and the other half was transparent, resembling a mixture of glass and obsidian.
When Charles asked the old man about this, he offered an explanation. "The body of the god Pai Bo is quite special. He cannot fully exist in this world. When He is absent, other gods must assist."
Heh, so it's a polytheistic system after all.
