"Seven meters, and you've seen it before?"
Charles understood immediately. The being the Heike Clan worshiped wasn't the kind of god he had imagined; perhaps they were just a group of natives after all. No wonder the owner of the statue shop had said that gods could die. It all made sense now.
Even if they aren't true gods, to establish themselves in the Abyss-Sea, they must have some power. Still, the gods of the Heike Clan just plummeted in my estimation.
Agino, as if able to read Charles's mind, smiled slightly and spoke softly, "Mr. Charles, do you find them completely different from the gods of your North Sea Domain?"
Charles stared at the cup in his hand without speaking. Though he thought these beings were just some natives, he didn't want to argue. He didn't believe in these bizarre cults anyway, and there was no need to antagonize the Heike Clan on their own turf over a verbal squabble.
