Seeing these bizarre things, no one's complexion was good. Before Charles could think of a countermeasure, another sudden commotion erupted behind them. When they turned around, they saw that the rope men, who had only been peeking from a distance before, were now stopped haphazardly behind them. They were completely surrounded!
One sailor finally cracked. He hysterically raised his gun and fired wildly at the rope men in front of him. The bullets knocked some of them to the ground, but against such a large number of rope men, a few shots were just a drop in the bucket. No one knew how many more were lurking in the forest.
"Stop! Did I give you permission to fire?" Charles reached out and snatched the gun from the man's hand.
"Charles, should we use fire? We can just burn them. Rope must be afraid of fire!" Audric proposed.
"Mr. Charles, how about I go and communicate with them? Maybe they're nice monsters?"
