Chapter 11 - 11. DISCUSSION

As the youngest and most knowledgeable of all the children, Ren becomes the village head student. Most of the children under his tutelage are aged between 8-11 years old, and only a handful of them are below 6 years of age. Ren contemplates visiting Onoki's office, as he has some important issues to discuss regarding his subordinates becoming genin and doing missions.

The next day, Ren arrives at Onoki's office, where he is greeted by the guards. He has been visiting the office for a year straight and has developed a close relationship with the guards, especially since he is the village head student. On entering the office, Ren sees Onoki sitting amidst a pile of papers, with his attendant sorting them.

After a few moments, Onoki notices Ren and greets him, "Oh, welcome Ren! It seems that the training of your tools is going well!"

Ren, with a stern expression on his face, responds, "How many times do I have to tell you that they are my loyal subordinates, not my tools?"

Onoki chuckles and says, "Call them whatever you want, in the end, it's all the same. So, what brings you here today? I assume your training is not over yet."

Ren nods in agreement and responds, "Yes, my training is not over yet, but I have come to discuss some important issues with you."

Onoki realizes that the expression on Ren's face is serious, unlike his usual carefree demeanor, and asks his attendant and hidden anbu to leave the office.

Onoki asks Ren, "What is it that you want to discuss?"

Ren takes a deep breath and says, "It's about my subordinates becoming genin and doing missions."

Onoki is taken aback by Ren's request, as he still remembers that Ren is only 6 years old. "Do you have any specifics in mind?" he asks.

Ren responds, "Yes, I do have some specifics, but that's not all."

Onoki's curiosity is piqued as he asks, "What else do you have to say?"

Ren takes a moment to compose himself before saying, "Well, it's hard to believe, but I see the future of the world."

Onoki's eyes widen in disbelief as he asks, "What do you mean by that?"

Ren continues, "In those events, I see two wars. If it were normal wars, then I may be able to tell you these things slowly and take my time to explain that war is common in this world."

Onoki takes some time to digest what Ren has said before asking, "How much of what you said about the wars and future events do you believe is true?"

Ren responds without hesitation, "100%."

Onoki furrowed his brows and asked Ren, "In which war will I die?"

Ren replied calmly, "You are lucky old man, even after two wars you will live."

Onoki leaned back in his chair, studying Ren carefully. "So, what makes you make hasty?"

Ren's expression turned serious. "In one war, our village will become weak, and it will take time to regain its strength. Then, the next war will be unlike anything the three great wars have seen. Even the Jonin will become cannon fodder in that war, which will change the entire shinobi world and usher in a new era of peace."

Onoki leaned forward, intrigued. "So, you're saying that after the fourth war, there will be no more wars?"

Ren hesitated before responding, "Well, there will still be conflicts, but the fourth war will be led by the child of prophecy. And after the war, the villages will realize that he is the strongest existence and won't dare to declare war on him. He is a peace lover, so others can't wage war against each other."

Onoki's eyes widened in surprise. "Is he really that strong?"

Ren nodded confidently. "Enough to take down an entire village by himself."

Onoki was still reeling from the news Ren had just delivered. He took a deep breath before responding, "Ren, what you've told me is quite extraordinary. So, what are you planning to do now?"

Ren replied, "As you should know, the war is approaching, and it will take at least 2-3 years to arrive. We need to plan our next steps carefully. If you promise to follow my lead, I will share my plan with you. Rest assured, I have the best interests of Stone Village at heart."

Onoki nodded, "As long as the Stone Village becomes strong and prosperous, I don't mind following your plan. Please tell me what it is."

Ren cautioned, "Before I share my plan, I must be sure that you are committed to following it. Do not lie to me, and take your time to think about it. I will not be easily fooled."

Onoki was taken aback by Ren's blunt response, but he understood the importance of their conversation. "I understand. I will discuss this matter with the important people in the village. They will need to follow your instructions, and we must also consult with the Daimyo. He is an important figure in the country, and we will need his support."

Ren sighed, "I know we will have to deal with these people, but I have faith in your abilities. They respect you from the bottom of their hearts and will follow your every word without hesitation. That's why I have come to you."

Ren then changed the topic to the issue of spies in the village. "Another thing we must address is the spies that other villages have sent to us. There are 300 of them in the orphanages alone. We need to take care of them while they are on genin missions, and they must send me mission information every night. The elimination of these spies is crucial, but we must be careful not to attract attention."

Onoki nodded, "It's not surprising that there are spies in the village. Even if we eliminate them, there will always be more. Your planning is impressive, and this will allow them to learn about the world and its cruelty while keeping us one step ahead."

Their conversation continued as they discussed the finer details of Ren's plan and how to handle the spies in the village. Onoki felt relieved that Ren was on their side and confident that they could weather the storm that was about to hit them.
