Norton Foster's long eyelashes trembled slightly, followed by a soft hum.
But he said nothing more.
He pressed his forehead against Amelia's shoulder, "I want to sleep with you tonight."
Amelia patted his back gently, "Norris will be coming home tomorrow."
Norton Foster lifted his head, his gaze falling on Amelia, then smiled faintly. "Hmm. You'll have to make it up to me tomorrow."
His smile carried a hint of youthful charm.
Amelia looked at him for a while, then sighed softly, "You should smile more often."
Norton Foster let out a questioning "Hmm?" "Why?"
She held his hand, her eyes settling on his long, beautiful fingers. "I used to be so busy with work. Aside from teaching you company matters, it feels like I never truly cared about what was on your mind." Slowly intertwining her fingers with his, her voice softened, "If I had noticed your feelings sooner, we wouldn't have ended up where we were all those years."
