Baldwin's Mansion
Savannah was astonished. Confusion enveloped her entirely as she gazed at Blaze with an questioning expression, wondering what he meant.
His calm delivery of that sentence made it feel genuine to me. Blaze then looked at Savannah and offered her a warm smile. She furrowed her brows in complete bewilderment, "What do you mean?" she asked him in search of clarity. Theo had maintained his wary gaze on Blaze since the start of their conversation.
"People you rescue day and night cherish you and are more thankful than their own lives, Savannah," he replied.
Finally, her eyes returned to their usual size, and she nodded as she grasped what and whom he was referring to.
"Do you really mean it?" Theo posed his question to Blaze, while Savannah regarded her son in perplexity but understood the implication internally.
"Theo," she interrupted before he could respond, "head to your room." She said to him while he gazed at her with a innocent expression that no longer affected Savannah, "Okay, mommy," he stood up and exited the dining area through the door.
"He cares for you," Blaze remarked, observing every detail of their exchange, and she nodded twice while reflecting on how he is consistently protective, though it can feel overwhelming at times. "He also pays attention to you." He included.
"That's a benefit," Savannah appreciated that he didn't judge Theo like many others did upon meeting him. "Yes, single parents have their own advantages," she replied with a smile and pursed lips, adding, "You raised him nicely, I must acknowledge." He went on, "I'm quite proud of you." He continued, "I'm proud of all that you've achieved by yourself."
Even though the words were quite basic, they brought Savannah joy as she felt acknowledged, having succeeded in life with their support. Nevertheless, since he wasn't close to her, she questioned why she felt comforted and content inside; he clearly had a positive impact on her. "Thank you," she smiled at him, unable to avoid his influence in this house any longer
Baldwin's Mansion
"Theo, hurry up, we're going to be late!" It was eight in the morning, and she rushed to squeeze an important notebook into Theo's bag. "Sure, mom, just a moment," he replied while putting on his sneakers. He had difficulty putting them on, so Savanah bent down and assisted him, "Let's go, now!" and we exited the room.
"Where are you going?" Elijah, upon exiting the corridor, inquired, "Dropping Theo at school?" she answered quickly. "Have you eaten breakfast?" he asked again. "No, but don't worry, we'll pick up something en route." she responded.
"Thank you for asking," she said, recognizing his generous nature and feeling compelled to express her gratitude as she started to walk toward the main door.
"Not on my watch, Savannah," a voice suddenly came from behind her, and Savannah turned to see Blaze descending the stairs with his assistant, as usual, which made her think about whether they ever part ways, do they share a bed? These questions were quite forbidden, but Savannah pondered.
"Yeah?" she replied, sounding puzzled. "Eat your breakfast," he stated, "Or you're not going." Was he giving her an order? She narrowed her eyes at him. "Are you giving us orders?" she inquired while stepping closer to him, leaving Theo behind, she disliked being dictated to, so if he was, he must have fallen out of her good graces.
He soften his expression before saying, "No, this is my sincere request to you, Savannah." He went on, "Please eat before you go, I sincerely ask." Gradually, her warm body began to cool down. Listening to his request lifted her spirits slightly; in fact, it caused a little flutter in her heart, though she remained unsure of the reason.
"Uh, no, we're already running behind," she said, "I'm really sorry, Blaze," and she pivoted on her heels. "Allow me to give you a ride; I'm heading to the office," he replied as he walked by her toward the front entrance.
Regardless of her multiple refusals, Blaze successfully took them to the school, which is not a good thing.
"Where are we headed?" Savannah pondered as she realized they had veered from the route to the mansion; after leaving Theo at school, they were meant to return her to the mansion, but where could they possibly be headed now?
She looked at the driver with a puzzled expression.
"We're heading to my company, Savannnah," Blaze responded, seated next to her in the car. "Why?" she inquired. "To feed you," he said, glancing away from the Ipad in his hand, smiling before returning his focus back to the screen,
"No, no nee-" he interrupted her, "We're nearly there." She realized he wouldn't take no for an answer, so she just went along.
For a moment, she gazed at his profile, which appeared just as attractive, and at that instant, her heart missed a beat.
Herbert Medical and Technology
Once more, Savannah was struck by the stunning appearance of the immense structure before her. If you gaze all the way to the highest floor, you might strain your neck because it's so elevated. At first sight, Savannah believed it was the biggest company she had encountered until she noticed the company's name. "Herbert Medical and Technology" echoed in her thoughts, and her memories surged back, causing her to glance at Blaze with a mildly astonished look.
"Do you actually own this company?" she added, "The Herbert Medical and Technology?" Blaze, positioned beside her, shifted his attention toward her, "Yes, Savannah." She nodded, fully grasping all the individuals around the mansion, the opulent lifestyle, it all clicked now.
CEO of this highly regarded tech firm globally, generating approximately $230.43 billion annually, it's quite challenging for anyone to rival this corporation, and her aspiration was to join their hospital division but life led her down a different path. "Let's go." he said and stepped inside with his secretary paving the way, she trailed afterward.

This greeting was the only thing she could hear from the people inside; they appeared to be employees of this large company, likely very satisfied with their lives since they have such a wonderful Boss.
The company's interior was anticipated to exude wealth. It was adorned with bright yellowish hues, featuring an enormous ceiling even larger than the mansion, a pool that resembled gold engravings, and a sizable window with a large screen on the front-facing side. Savannah felt awkward in a room that resembled a corporate lobby or an elegant indoor area with intricate interior decoration and furnishings.
"Mr. Baldwin," a man in a grey suit, appearing to be in his 30s, called out to him. "An important meeting has been scheduled, your presence is required." She could tell it was significant by his heavy breathing; it showed he had come here in a hurry, and Blaze left with him and his secretary. They vanished from her sight.
There she stood by herself in her light pink satin skirt and white shirt, wearing black heels and carrying a black handbag, while everyone in the company lobby gazed at her, seemingly evaluating her; was this her signal to leave? What's the reason for bringing her here?
She turned on her heels to walk away, but-
"Where do you believe you're heading?" A gentle grip on her wrist preventing any movement, and she recognized who that voice was. Glancing at her wrist and the lengthy arm clad in a black blazer, she saw Blaze.
She believed he had left for the meeting. "Why are you here?" she inquired. "Didn't you say you were going to the meeting?" she inquired again, completely ignoring his gentle grip on her wrist.
"Yeah-" he said, still gently holding her wrist, and added, "But I focus on what matters to me the most." He said "Come." Grasping her hands, he guided her forward, and she remained focused on his words.
She doesn't fully understand what he means by those words, but her heart is definitely starting to weaken. Feeble in his presence.
